Marc Jacobs presents a new collection of refreshing colognes of the Splash series, inspired by juicy cocktail drinks. Cocktail Splash Collection, limited to summer 2011, features three fresh tropical fragrances: Curacao, Ginger and Cranberry.
Curacao, signed by perfumer Yann Vasnier, is a refreshing and vibrant watery sweet smell of summer and exotic tropical paradise.
It opens with citrus notes of lime and bloos orange. The heart notes of violet, apricot and pear are laid on the base of white musk and moss.

Ginger is inspired by the summer passion fruit cocktail, a tasty and alluring contrast of warm and cold, icy and spicy notes.
This mix starts with sparkling notes of fresh ginger, coriander and cognac. The heart contains Bourbon geranium, passion flower and rhubarb, laid on the warm sandalwood and musk. The composition is signed by perfumer Yann Vasnier.

Cranberry is a refreshing citrus - fruity cocktail that conjures up the joy of those long summer nights. Perfumer Richard Herpin blended top notes of cranberry and mandarin orange with honeysuckle, red currant, ice cold musk and exotic woods.
All three fragrances are available as 300 ml eau de cologne, packed in large and colorful glass bottles. Cocktail Splash Collection will be available from March 2011 at a price of 70 Euros per bottle.

I hope the Ginger won't be too feminine. Also, i want to try Apple Splash before.
I love the Splash series and (unfortunately) only own Fig. I MUST get at least the Curacao and the Ginger; as the blue liquer is one of my favorites in drinks and perfumes (Avon Blue Rush for Her) and I love the idea of "icy and spicy" in Ginger (and am over the moon about passion fruit in general, it's my absolute favorite fruit ever).
$65 US dollars may seem like a lot, but you get 10.5 ounces (300 ml) of the stuff (and they usually come with a sprayer, if you like that method of application better), so you really are getting more for less! :)
Cranberry also sounds nice; but, I just gifted my mother "mark.'s Self Sanctuary Berry Cranberry" because it was a bit TOO fruity...this, however sounds like a Sea Breeze served with a floral garnish in a frosty wooden glass! It might be worth having as well...
The MJ Splash series are not the most projective fragrances, nor do they last forever...but they are extremely well-made and I am looking very forward to this years batch!!
I love MJ's splash line. "Fig" is one of my favorites -- sweet, milky, a bit animalic.
Can't wait to try Curacao and pick up Apple before it's gone! These are a great value!
