Perhaps you remember that a few years ago I mentioned I had the opportunity in Grasse to meet a young and very talented perfumer who composed several fragrances and was preparing the launch of her own collection.

I was looking forward to her creations that I had the opportunity to test, because she managed to emphasize femininity to the maximum in each of them, at the same time giving luxurious charm, quality development and her unique stamp. Her compositions remind me of the golden age of perfumery and offer a new dimension to the niche sky—niche classics.

Finally, her first fragrance was launched to the perfume sky a few days ago. It is with this fragrance that the designer debuted as a solo artist and creator.

This beautiful, charming and always smiling young lady originally from Hungary improved her talent in Grasse and received awards for her creations. She will tell us more about herself in an interview that will soon be published on Fragrantica.

Her name is Viktoria Minya and she is the first Hungarian who created a perfume brand, but not only as the owner and driving force, but also as an excellent perfumer. She lives and works in Paris, where she has her own perfume studio, and the her first fargrance that we will present is called Hedonist.

As Viktoria mentions the presentation of the Hedonist perfume "calls upon the spirit of hedonism—the art of devotion to the pleasure of the senses. Indeed, this bold creation's aim is to provide a prolonged sense of indulgence to its wearer. The perfume is not only an enchanting olfactory experience, but an overall celebration of the infinite delight of the senses." The composition has a clear aim to please and play with the pleasure of the person using it, with juicy fruits, intoxicatingly rich floral notes and warm, intense and deep woody shades…

Its opening is smooth and blows your mind with rich, juicy peach notes that stand out in the very beginning with rum. Viktoria wanted her Hedonist to make a toast to life and femininity from the start, creating a skillful game of fruits and rum. On my skin, it starts with a fine and very feminine velvety hue that stays present all along, accompanying the whole olfactory story. Contrast in the later development is provided by luminous citrus that gently refreshes the top notes. Through the mellow, juicy notes there appear flowery notes, which are dense and opulent, very sexy.

Starting from intoxicating love in the opening, the fragrance becomes lusher, with intensive and deep love as we come closer to the heart.

Orange blossom and jasmine are in perfect harmony in the heart of the composition, which softens the intense rum and adds a fine veil of warm tobacco notes. The unraveling of the composition of Hedonist offers rich and very expressive woody notes softened with vanilla that soothes the burning emotions and offers the carefree feeling of pure pleasure...

If I had to describe Hedonist in a few words, I would point out that it is very luxurious and intoxicating, intense but very wearable, very feminine. A holiday of enjoyment!

Its bottle accompanies the whole theme and composition in the perfect way. Enjoyment of life is depicted with a multitude of glittering crystals that are inside the beautiful bottle. They move if you move the bottle and by playing with light, they please the user. Golden liquid contributes to the atmosphere. The luxury of the new fragrance is reflected in the carefully selected black outer packaging that covers the bottle. It is hand-made of wood, designed to emphasize the sleek look and the feel of snakeskin.

Hedonist is available as 45 ml Eau de Parfum, at a price of 130 Eur, (official website by Viktoria Minya). You can also order samples for testing on this website.

This really does sound fabulous, but luxurious is definitely the keyword here-at 130 euro for 45 ml it is going to have to be something I dream of owning -but it's nice to have these things to aspire to !

Great review Sandra, you presented this perfume beautifully. Lovely peach, very natural, not too sweet just juicy. Combination of vanilla with tobacco is very nice, I like good tobacco note and decadent, dizzy rum. Love it.

WOW......Now that sounds like my kind of perfume! What a little ripper that would be to own and enjoy. The ingredients are downright sinful, scintillating (and sexy)! Thanks for great article Sandra - love reading your reviews - can only guess at the pleasure you get being able to sample them and meet the perfumer/designer! oh my ...its so overwhelming to hear about the first ever hungarian perfumer viktoria minya. i think its a very great news for all of the hungarian frangrance devotees around the world , hope this was the first initial step into the worlds of perfumes ,i am very proud as a hungarian male that viktoria is a force to be reckoned with :)
