Niche perfumer Neil Morris, known for his 30 years long experience in perfumery, particularly in Boston, presents his perfume Takashimaya this time, which was created exclusively for luxury store Takashimaya New York.

Neil Morris presented his collection of 8 fragrances in December 2007 in this prestigious store (Aegean, Afire, Clear, Coral, Gotham, Rainflower, Storm, Zephyr), and now he is creating and developing a special fragrance, which he has dedicated to this store ( official site: Takashimaya New York). This luxury Japanese department store is a blend of eastern and western sensibility. They offer clothes, cosmetics, accessories, as well as furniture. Florist's shop is on one of the floors and it offers garden decorations with interesting glass vases and floral pots.

Perfume Takashimaya was inspired by one of the boutiques, named "Tea House", where tea and accompanying products, tea pots and decorative tea cups are being sold. Perfumer Neil Morris found inspiration for composition of Takashimaya New York in Japanese garden in the Fine Arts Museum, Boston.

Storm was setting in and it started raining at that time, and wind and fog in touch with flowers and herbs of Japanese garden illusory created a new fragrant challenge for the creator. After rain, sun dried water out and accentuated aromas of plum blossom and bamboo. Perfumer Neil Morris wanted to highlight beauty and peacefulness of Japanese cultures with a hint of style and sophistication of Fifth Avenue, New York, in his new perfume.

The composition incorporates fruity top notes of black currant, mandarin and bergamot. Heart blooms with plum blossom, jasmine tea, Japanese cherry blossom, bamboo, orchid and daffodil, while the base adds a woody union of cedar and oak with Tonka and iris root.

Takashimaya is available in amount of 60 ml (2.0 fl.oz) in a rectangular glass bottle, with cylindrical silver stopper. This edition, as well as the 8 preceding versions, has been presented as unisex.
