The perfume house Jacomo, currently headed by the impressive creator Francois Damide, has presented some legendary scents over the years. Perhaps one of its most memorable scents was the men's classic Jacomo de Jacomo—a true masculine classic. This iconic woody oriental has remained a favorite since it's inception in 1980.

What's the exciting news at the Elements Showcase? The relaunch of Jacomo de Jacomo. In its new sleek black and silver re-imagining of the original bottle, the new Jacomo de Jacomo has all the volume, depth and aromatics of the original, full-bodied scent but with an added kick of sparkling top notes like petitgrain, lemon and basil. The real star of Jacomo de Jacomo is the mixture of leather and amber. It provides a wonderful warm volume and reminds us that the classics always last. Jacomo de Jacomo is just like the original, but with a gentle fizzy twist that makes it even more sophisticated than the original.

Along with the modern version of the old clasic for men, Jacomo is revisiting their famous chypre, Silences (1978, once was reformulated in 2004)—Silences Eau de Parfum Sublime. "The fragrance retains its ladylike green, floral and woody character on powdery background. It is fresh, sophisticated and modern."

Love this house. I would like to see them revisit Anthracite too!
Great article- thank you! I was a huge Silences fan in the 80's and just bought a bottle from perfumania.com. Assuming it's the old formulation. Will look forward to the new one!
Great News Article John. You know my interest in the subject. It's fabulous that there will be a new "Silences" for her loyal fans!
