Odori - Profumo di Firenze – New Fragrant Journey by Enzo Galardi

After niche collection Bois 1920, which was presented in 2005, Enzo Galardi continues his author journey of thoughts and arts. A new line by this distinguished author was introduced. It was named ODORI, inspired by and dedicated to Italian city of Florence, which tells the story of essences of stores, squares, ancient buildings, of history and scents of the city.

Six new fragrances show uniqueness through charming relations of essences and packages which keep them and present in their way. Wooden frame which frames each of glass bottles is made with a special technique, which demands a whole process before it is attached to glass. The bottle is decorated with details of finest leather from Florence, which are there to introduce a seal to art of creations and creators. Each of the bottles also represents a fusion of tradition and minimalism.

Cuoio is the most sensual fragrance, composed of elements floating through narrow streets of Florence, where a leather handicraft shop was founded in 1292. Spigo is a fragrance of regions surrounding Florence. It is woven of tiny aromatic flowers, reflecting balance and freshness. This perfume is defined as the soul of the city. The third perfume of the collection is Tabacco, inspired by tobacco harvest and by a woman working in the field, collecting leaves the scent of which sticks on her hands and skin very clearly.

Zafferano or saffron is the fourth fragrance. It reminds us of ancient people who used it as a precious spice. Greeks, Romans, Persians and Egyptians believed in its attributes because of colour, aromas and its intoxicating and aphrodisiac effect. The story goes that Zeus used to sleep on a bed covered with saffron. Hypocrites used saffron for healing, and inhabitants of ancient Persia named it Safra and believed that the colour of saffron was a symbol of gold and light. The connection between the city and saffron has existed since ancient times. It was brought by caravans from the East to Florence 1000 years ago, in shape of thousands and thousands flowers picked at dawn.

The fifth fragrance, Iris, is one of the symbols of Florence, a delicate flower, courier of spring. It was chosen as the symbol of the Republic of Florence in Medieval times. This beautiful, elegant flower has to dry over 1000 days, in order to produce fragrant extract.

Gli Odori is a herbal fragrance, a combination of sage, rosemary and endless magic of essences, the scent of which can be felt in the city every spring. Bouquets of herbal mixtures smell on open markets, small flower pots are green and lush and they intoxicate with their aromas from window sills.

An exclusive package has recently been introduced and it includes u suitcase with all six perfumes from the Odori collection. This edition is enumerated and available in limited number of only 20 pieces.

The suitcase is luxurious, made of the finest leather and it is Enzo Galardi's creation. It was made by masters of leather handicraft, who still use old techniques familiar from the ancient times. A fusion of aromas of Florence is available in a set with a catalogue, signed and enumerated by creator Enzo Galardi.
