Out of Africa
The fragrances are not named Cape Town, Kilimangiaro and Kalahari by chance. Each of them tells a part of life story of the famous Scot David Livingstone, doctor, missionary and explorer of Africa. Dr. Livingstone was the first European who saw Victoria Falls on Zambezi River on November 16, 1856, and was so amazed with the sight that in his colorful travel diaries he wrote: “Scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”.The waterfalls previously called by the native people Mosi-Oa-Tunya („The Smoke that Thunders“) were named after his queen, Queen Victoria.
Livingstone discovered and explored the vast areas of southern, eastern and northern Africa, and gave a great contribution to discovery of Africa. And due to that, although he actually explored the upper Congo River and has never reached the lower part, the waterfalls of the lower Congo River were named after him, Livingstone Falls.
At one point he got lost, and an expedition was sent after him. The expedition found him in the town Ujiji on the shore of Lake Tanganyika where he was heading towards the Nile wellspring. Dr. Livingstone died on May 01, 1873 and was buried at the Westminster Cathedral in London. Fragrances presented by Livingstone Traveller Fragrance are one more tribute to his work and deed.

The first fragrance is inspired with the city of Cape Town, the third most popular city of South Africa. Cape Town is known as a big port with gorgeous landscapes and verdant floral and herbal realm, as well as for the famous Table Mountain and Cape Point.
It is often said that Cape Town is placed on the most beautiful geographical point in the world and it fully utilizes its advantages for the purpose of tourism, since there is so much to be seen.
The fragrance named Cape Town presented by Livingstone Traveller Fragrance in 2007 is inspired by the traveling through Africa and geography maps, what can be seen on its outer box. It was named in honor of the city of Cape Town. It was created by Maurizio Cerizza, while the bottle and box are designed by Arturo Ricci.
Another fragrance of the Livingstone Traveller Fragrance collection takes us to hot African semi-desert Kalahari. Of course, the fragrance is named after this vast sand area which covers big parts of the South African countries of Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, and which after the rainy periods becomes an abundant pasture area.
Although the summer temperatures are really high and the rainy seasons are short, Kalahari has its inhabitants, as it is not a real desert and there can be found some herbal and animal species. Long ago that area was inhabited by wild animals such as elephants, giraffes, and predators, lions and leopards. Even today beside the water flows such as Okavango lions and leopards can be seen.
The wild spirit of this hot area inspired the creators of this fragrance presented in 2007 name after Kalahari. It was, just like the Cape Town fragrance, created by Maurizio Cerizza, while the bottle and box are designed by Arturo Ricci.
Now the fragrances take us further, up to the volcano tops of inactive volcanoes Kibo, Mawensi and Shira, in the North-East of Tanzania. We are still in hot, wild Africa. Kilimanjaro is the tallest free-standing mountain rise in the world, measuring 4600 meters from the bottom to the top, which is at the same time the highest African peak reaching 5895 meters of altitude.
The meaning of word Kilimanjaro originates from Masai language and means Big Stone. The view from its peak is amazing ad dramatic.
The third men’s fragrance of this collection is named Kilimangiaro. In transparent bottle with map imprint on the box, designed just like the other two fragrances by Arturo Ricci, it was created by Maurizio Cerizza, and launched in 2007.
