Paco Rabanne launches Invictus, its new fragrance for men, which represents a fresh and sporty creation in relation to the other perfumes of the house. The fragrance comes out in July 2013. Invictus, which is Latin for "invincible," represents power, dynamism and energy.

The fragrance opens with fresh grapefruit and a marine accord that lead to the heart of aromatic bay leaf and Hedione jasmine and a woody base of guaiac wood, patchouli, oak moss and ambergris.

The bottle is designed in the form of a trophy. The fragrance is available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette with an accompanying collection.

Being a Paco fragrance of course you've got to try it. The bottle..........uh oh. Looks like one of those cheap plastic/metallic cups you get from cheap gift shops for a little boys football trophy.

Have a look at Ferrari Oud for an example of a beautiful bottle.

I'm not bothered about the shape of the bottle, I only care about the content. And I hope this one is going to be very good. I'm looking forward to buying it.

This can't be real. The bottle is just too tacky. It seems like something Ron Burgundy would wear. "Invictus, illegal in all fifty states and Canada. Made with real wolverine testicles."

The more I look at that bottle, the more I'm amazed at how such a nasty thing could be produced and sold worldwide. Oh my..
(By the way I'd suggest a new name for the next belligerent, manful fragrance: Alea Iacta Est... long live to Latin :D).

The ingredients sound interesting, but like others have said, the bottle and name are pure white trash 70s medallion man with hairy chest.

They may as well have called it "Stud", "Stag", "Stallion" or "Thor".

Great bottle! I will put it on a chain next to the gold bar and hang it around my neck when clubbing! Thank you Paco! (ironic mode ON). Who cares about the bottle, i'm sure this stuff smells great and last the whole day. Nothing else matters.

I'm getting so sick of these naff bottles. $1 Million was bad enough. Then we had Davidoff Champion. This is horrendous too. Awful.

I think the bottle desing "extravaganza" was a "logical" decision after the success of 1 Million. Do not change the formula that already worked before. Also 1 million gatherd Paco Rabanne a lot of younger users, and these bottles are cleary aimed at a younger audience in my opinion.

This isn't too bad. I think the Skull thingy from Ed Hardy is, by far, the most hideous bottle.

Let's have a vote, shall we? The ugliest bottle contest. :)

We will see about the perfume. May...be it will turn out interesting and not another typical 1/2h fresh fragance. As for the bottle....what the...were they thinking. One of the least appealing packings and bottles I have seen.

Oakmoss? Ambergis? I guess they have been chemically reproduced in some laboratory because these subtances havent been used in about 13 years. Is this somekind of joke?

Oh, the world is onto Monsanto and its GMOs. IFRA and your rules to replace real fragrance with poisonous chemicals are next!

Regarding the bottle, although not much can be said, there is one thing that came to my mind when seeing this, embodied cognition. When we, people, speak we use metaphors to describe a feeling or person. One person can be “cold” or “warm”, cold or warm can also be a beverage, weather or a perfume. What this suggests is whatever we encounter physically is translated by our brain in words, and then we believe these words. Taking this into account one may easily assume that this bottle is a marketing trick to sell, and your brain will add the necessary chain of words or feelings to justify the purchase. Everyone wants a trophy, I suppose.

It is an urn for the ashes of Paco Rabanne's former good taste. A sign of things to come, perhaps?

Bottle looks a bit like a smell-alike from brands like Creations Lamis. But heck, at least it grabs out attention. I'm beginning to suspect more and more fragrances are designed to stand out in a sea of search results and create the irrepressible urge to blind-buy.

This is not a typical Paco Rabanne when I'm looking at the packaging and I must say I agree with everyone who says the bottle looks hideous.. The notes sounds nice but not interesting at all. But well, you can't judge a book by his cover.

In Italian there's a word used to describe things that are trashy and cheap, and this is what I immediately thought about Invictus bottle and packaging: "pacchiano" :D

The notes sound pretty attractive.
But the name and bottle design...
It looks as if they think people are stupid. "Buy this perfume with the name Invictus with the bottle shaped as a trophy so that way you'll be a champion and a winner immediately!"

Same with 1 million. a gold bar! wow!! Maybe I should buy it and spray it, that way I'll become an instant millionaire!

After XS, I have lost all interest in Paco Rabanne's fragrances.

I am wondering about the name of the fragrance. It might be inspired by the movie Invictus(2009), which was about Nelson Mandela, and the the national rugby team and the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
Also this might be the inspiration for the bottle desing. I might be wrong though, but the name and the desing correlate...

Obviously, I cannot comment on the scent as it hasn't debuted, but i will say the notes do not excite any interest. The flacon however......dynamite!!
