HRH Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia created her first fragrance "E" in 2002. Soon after the first, her second fragrance was launched, named after her—"Jelisaveta."
The gorgeous aristocratic fragrances immediately caught the attention of perfume lovers and got positive reviews from critics.
"In my teens I dreamed of creating a perfume that incorporated all the white flowers in my grandmother's garden and in fact having a garden of my own one day, with only sweet smelling white flowers.
Much later, Merv Griffin the late TV host and creator of Wheel of Fortune helped me to realize my dream so I went to IFF in New York City (International Flavors and Fragrances) and there, the great Sophia Grojsman helped me compose the fragrances I liked. The first one was E and the second one Jelisaveta. It was fun working with her and adding and deleting drops of this and that until it was what I wanted..."
HRH Princess Elizabeth

What makes the signature perfume "E" of Princess Elizabeth so special and personally gratifying to her is that it was inspired by the fragrance worn by her maternal grandmother, Her Imperial and Royal Highness, Grand Duchess Helen of Russia.
After intensive research and testing, Princess Elizabeth has been able to match that endlessly intriguing fragrance once only known to Russian nobility.
The Fragrance Foundation in New York has twice nominated her perfume for “Perfume of the Year.” Women all over the world say it makes them feel like royalty! The bottle and packaging prominently display Princess Elizabeth’s signature trademark—her family crown and initial “E”—reputedly designed by Carl Fabergé, which is inscribed on many of her family heirlooms.
The sophisticated perfume begins with sparkling citrus notes of bergamot and mandarin combined with hints of muguet. The heart of the scent blends a floral bouquet of jasmine, hyacinth, orange blossom and iris. The dry down provides richness, sensuality and a feeling of mystique.

Princess Elizabeth has added an exciting new chapter to her life with the success of her second fragrance "Jelisaveta" which is her name in Serbian. This is a delightfully different fragrance destined for success…a perfect contrast to the classic elegance and sophistication of "E". Like a cloudless sky in springtime, "Jelisaveta" lightens your mood and brightens your day. A heavenly new experience, it surrounds the wearer with the scent of orange blossom, honeysuckle, linden blossom and jasmine. The result is a fragrance so very feminine and so gently alluring, all princesses will fall in love with it. Wear “Jelisaveta” whenever your spirits need a lift.

HRH Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia will give away two bottles (E and Jelisaveta) to two Fragrantica readers. As usual, we will choose winners after reading your reviews.

great review! it is always interesting to learn about fragrances not widely available in US.
Unfortunately, these fragrances are not widely known. You can buy them in Serbia (Jasmin), in Russia (Moscow, TSUM). You can also purchase them in the USA, via email ekarageorg@aol.com
I first smelled E in Belgrade, and I immediately fell in love and bought it, I got so many compliments about my fragrance from people. Now when my bottle of E is empty, I miss it so much. This is a truly royal scent: heady hyacinths and tender orange blossom on the base of slightly powdery cedarwood. The hyacinth note is the most prominent. I even can't compare this light royal veil with any fragrance I know. It's unique. My respect to Princess Elizabeth and Sophia Grojsman.
The second fragrance is different in composition and similar in style - high class ;o) It's very intensive from the beginning, you smell very bright citruses and citrus flowers. After a while you detect gorgeous linden blossom, in absolute harmony with crisp citruses. Absolutely unique.
It's a shame we can't find these masterpieces even in exclusive niche stores. I am happy we can introduce them to you at Fragrantica.
