Pink Sugar - A Sweet Fragrance of Dreams
The world of sweet fragrances was popularized at the beginning of 1990's by Thierry Mugler, who revealed a great number of gourmands among perfume lovers. Since then the popularity of sweet perfumes did not drop down. In the contrary, it initiated new researches and experiments with the purpose of satisfying gourmands, especially the young ones, as the population of perfume lovers has become younger.
Pink Sugar is so sweet, as if it has captured all possible dreams of a little girl who has entered into a sweet-shop and simply can not make a decision which sweet she would like to have. Therefore, the creators of Pink Sugar have generously added all possible sweets into a cute pink bottle in order to spare the girl of making a hard decision. It turned out to be appealing and irresistible to many, a fragrance which is defiant, unusual, and ironic, one that dares with its sweetness. And that is acceptable too, as challenge is a natural way of communication among young people.
The composition: Pink Sugar is a pink cotton-candy with red fruits flavor, a fragrance that will turn you into a sweet. Short fresh citrus opening is shortly replaced by candied red fruits: green fig leaf nuance emphasizes the natural sweetness of raspberry accompanied by wild strawberry and frivolous teenager liquorice; the thin lily of the valley note melts in sweet fruity-sugary ambience and follows it by floral echo. The base of vanilla, caramel, musk, Tonka and sandal wood is sweet and dense with powdery nuance.
I would like to preclude some of the opponents’ negative remarks that the fragrance is ‘too sweet’. When you were little did you know about the notion of ‘too many candies’, or ‘too much chocolate’? It is never too much, that is the law of eternal insatiableness known to the young, or the young in heart. Of course, Pink Sugar is a ‘flippant’ fragrance, yet it might easily fit into the perfume wardrobe of ‘serious’ ladies, just like a break from status-business-evening fragrances, like a non-formal dessert. Each of us carries memories of childhood, and Pink Sugar is its quintessence.
