Red and Black with Christian Lacroix signature

A launch of two new perfumes is announced for the fall 2007. Avon in collaboration with French fashion designer Christian Lacroix launches Rouge, or Red, for ladies and Noir, or Black, for men. Christian Lacroix is that way appearing at the mass sale market, while Avon adds a prestige 'haute' perfume in its portfolio.

Sensual Rouge is a floral chypre with white pepper, orange and red peony in the top notes. The heart unites osmanthus flower, Japanese plum blossom and Amazonian water lily. The woody-musk base is composed of cashmere notes, patchouli and musk. The perfume was created by IFF (International Flavors & Fragrance) perfume creators Laurent Le Guernec and Carlos Benaim.

Noir is a fresh woody fragrance that features ginger and saffron in the top, spicy and woody harmony of cardamom and orris in the heart , while the woody notes grow stronger with the fragrance development as the base is composed of white cedarwood, driftwood, vetiver and musk. The creators of this perfume are Pascal Gaurin and Yves Cassar of IFF(International Flavors & Fragrance).
