I was looking for a fragrance I could connect with one of amazing adventures of small and brave Hobbits, frisky main characters of Tolkien's epic fantasy The Lord of the Rings, who were lost in a forest where they met wise, talking trees, the Ents. An Ent is a humanoid sort of tree, inspired by myths common to all nations of the world. In darkness, between roots, moss and thick leaves, small Hobbits hid in comfortable and safe tree tops, expectating help and rescue…

Where heavy scent of moist ground, moss, leaves of grass and muddy root of plants intoxicates, surrounded with myrrh and comfortable notes of warm, woody resins, without wind, without cold notes, they sit and wait. When they make a step, dry and hard wood bark and tiny twigs crack under their feet, and hide the biggest secrets. Masculine, secure, rough and experienced branches do not allow aromas of patchouli to rule them over, to add a warmer, resin-like, pleasant and comfortable nuance, giving a feeling of safety and tranquility. Just a few rays of sun break through closely intertwined branches and they illuminate and warm old and wise face of the tree. They are alone with their fear in darkness, and yet, safe…

Reminiscence Inoubliable Elixir Patchouli is a fragrance that pulled me closer to this story, that gave me safety, strength and attitude. This masculine, comfortable, and unusual perfume with perfectly combined notes is very interesting to fans of oriental compositions and accentuated patchouli, woody accords and resin-sweet layers of Tonka. It opens with aromas of moss, tart and moist, dark green nuances, along with woody accords which add their full strength. This is a real treat which feels like genuine dark chocolate, with a clear, woody accord which melts between fingers and slides down your arm, gentle and attractive. Tonka contributes to additional dose of passion, with calming, tobacco-vanilla finish, coloured in dark brown notes.

This fragrance has its own attitude; it is an ode to dark forest full of secrets, not scary and dangerous, but wise and peaceful. Where time flows easily and life in it flourishes timelessly. Its composition is poured into a glass flacon, which goes perfectly with its thick contents, showing a fragrant cocktail as opulent and dominant.

 

Official notes include cedar from Virginia, Java patchouli, Haiti vetiver, Australian sandalwood, Tonka, Tolu balm, Madagascar vanilla and light musk. The fragrance is constructed as oriental-woody and it was created in 2007.

Reminiscence Inoubliable Elixir Patchouli is available as 100 ml (3,4 oz) EDP elixir, with a rich body cream of 200 ml (6,8oz), perfectly united with a woody-balmy elixir. The fragrance represents our connection with nature, internal strength, wisdom and tranquility. Ourselves.
