A Fragrance which comes passing the woods...
Carrying the smell of the wet wood....
with the hint of sleeping Buds....
singing of a humming bird...
Walking through the Victorian forest on a cool Autumn day.The wind is chilling with the coming of winter and you take a deep breathe in and smell the musky wetness of the falling maple and oaks leaves mingling with the fresh dew in the air.
As you slowly stroll through, your sense of smell is tantilised by the ambery wood and cedar with the sweet florals of the wildflowers, the vanillary essence of the first fruits of the chestnut trees and the nuttiness of the acorns.
All this captured in one little bottle simply called 'Autumn'....
I want to wear a warm scent. Strong enough to withstand the blowing wind, good staying power is a must.
My favourite scent is the fragrance of sea and sun as a memory of the fading summer!
May I make a better description than the names do?
Beauty
Joy
Light
Love
Peace
It is impossible to have only one of them.
Five days - five fragrances.
Each brings good-better-best emotions.
I own What Comes from Within-Joy, and it is one of my favorite! I would have to say it is perfect for fall, with its warm comforting notes of almond and spice. And it has great staying power and silage too! LOVE it!
I also love scents with woodsy or smoky notes for fall! Even a little chypre too!
No, I'm sorry, but I need flowers all the year, maybe because I'm born in spring!
The perfect scent of autumn would be the scent of dry maple leafs under your feet, a bag of dried sweet apples with cinnamon in the pocket, woody bench in the park were people laugh and play under the warm autumn sun. It should have the sweetness of Katsura tree leafs which I love so much. My perfect autumn scent would be the nostalgic and romantic golden autumn in the bottle.
Woodsy, particularly ceder, sweetened ever so slightly with several varieties of lavender, and some white flowers. The daytime version might have orange blossoms and/or rosewood, while the night version might have jasmine.
Ah! I can smell it now.
Yes! I would love dry notes in my perfect Autumn scent: dry leaves, woods, herbs, a hint of smoke, wet earth and fresh crisp air. I would like to capture all this beauty around me.
Here are a lot of oaks in my area, and I love the scent of their dry leaves on the ground. That would be the main theme of the composition.
A perfect autumn scent (for me ) would be serene and warm with subtle notes of green and wood, a touch of sandalwood or amber, something ancient and resinous like frankincense or myrrh, and just the barest hint of dried flowers.
This season I would like something warm, sweet and a bit spicy.
