Seven Summer Days

Monday… Morning, pleasant and peaceful, tea in a fine, white cup on my table on the terrace, where the first morning rays of sun glitter and play.  I am feeling great and thinking about how to start my day. I am allowing myself to enjoy the view of the first passers-by hurrying to work, of well-dressed women carrying their purses and moving towards another day, new meetings, looks and compliments, while I am being seduced by the scents of my apple tea. It is so nice to start a morning this way.

I am thinking about what would be appropriate for Monday, which fragrance accompanies the beginning, gives energy and uplifts after a rest and the weekend. I want a fragrance which will make me tick and awaken, but also steal a small bit of that relaxed feeling I am carrying with me after the last weekend. A bit of greenery, citruses, fruit and flowers… I am mixing in my thoughts everything I want to feel on my arms. I am choosing Issey Miyake L’Eau d Issey… perfect for my Monday!

Tuesday is a hectic day. We have already caught the rhythm, started the race with time, in city crowds, with new themes… The scent of coffee coming from a nearby coffee-shop is luring me to carry aromas of coffee on my skin and I choose fine and feminine L`Or de Torrente, the fragrance of a beautiful woman sitting and slowly drinking macchiato on an Italian square. I need a bit of imagination to imagine myself and wander away from Tuesday. Kiwi and litchi from its top notes leave an impression of a summer cocktail, juices of summer; coffee awakens me and keeps my attention, while iris notes and rose add a dose of seriousness. Its flacon is gorgeous. On Tuesday I miss glamour and gold which glitters like in the window shops of Turkish jewelry stores.

Wednesday is the day of my first fragrant dilemma. This is the day when I wish to be stronger and more feminine and to have it show, just like those beautiful ladies with nice purses I was watching from my terrace on Monday. Hilde Soliani Ortensia fits my summer pink suit perfectly and with ylang-ylang it leaves essences from the island of Mayotte.

Thursday looks back on Wednesday and thinks about a new weekend! On Thursday I want something intoxicating, strong and powerful. I want white flowers surrounded with fruity notes of plums and cinnamon. And again that ylang-ylang from Wednesday, since I cannot escape its embrace. You are guessing (or maybe not) I chose Tom Ford on Thursday? Hm, not really him, but Voile de Fleur! Lust for a white bouquet on my cleavage is so pleasant…

Coffee with my friends is obligatory on Friday. After all my obligations, a few hours are reserved just for our conversations and laughter. I am looking forward to that and I am choosing a fragrance to radiate cheerfulness and sunny notes all day long. Alien Eau Luminiscente, my fragrant discovery, scent of a summer day, scent of mandarin and sweet smiles of my friends…

We arranged to spend a day out with our friends on Saturday. The day is beautiful, a real summer afternoon, so let's go to the river to enjoy nature and have lunch at a fish restaurant! The scent of fish specialties is quite enough to intoxicate our senses and make our mouths water, and the view of the river relaxes our eyes and souls. You are wondering which fragrance goes with fish? Citruses and green herbal notes, of course! I have recently received samples of the new L'Occitane Verbena Summer, a summer fresh companion, perfect both for a hot day and for your vacation. Lavender and citruses, breezes of Provence. Practical and fresh, discrete and clean, it fits perfectly into a casual Saturday.

Sunday is a day to have some rest…Even a rest from fragrances. I decided not to wear anything today and to have a rest. No, no, I will really wear nothing… but.. those few samples by Ormonde Jayne (Champaca on one and Frangipani on the other arm), which I enjoy breathing in while I am preparing for a new Monday…

What does your fragrant week look like?
