Spiritueuse Double Vanille by the house of Guerlain is a limited edition fragrance that, unfortunately, can be purchased solely in Guerlain boutiques. With his new fragrance, Jean-Paul Guerlain aims to please the fairer sex, which he sincerely admires.

Spiritueuse Double Vanille is not just some pleasant smelling vanilla scent of which there are plenty. First and foremost, it is a composition that combines a wonderful variety of truly beautiful accords, most of which are also part of the secret and magical Guerlainade formula, and together they paint us idyllic scenes of years past.

For such a discreet and airy composition, as light as a chiffon scarf that could easily be pulled through an engagement ring, Spiritueuse Double Vanille possesses enviable lasting power.

Green freshness of bergamot and piquant spiciness of pink pepper intertwine with beguiling notes of warm rose petals and soft creamy vanilla. In their harmony one might hear accords of vine flowers that were characteristic of many beautiful vintage fragrances.

In the bottom note, sweet powdery vanilla is combined with amber, cedarwood and benzoin, all of which share and deepen those characteristics of the former. We also get some light and pleasant fumes of the tonka bean and frankincense.

According to Jean-Paul Guerlain, his favorite grandfather Jacques Guerlain, the author of such legendary classics as Shalimar and L'Heure Bleue, taught him to love and use vanilla in his creations.

In his latest masterpiece, Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Jean-Paul Guerlain managed to recreate the elusive eroticism of Guerlain's vanilla, an aromatic component, the patron of which, in his opinion, is none other than Venus herself.
