TFWA World Exhibition (27th-31st October, Cannes) is a busy week for the duty free and travel retail industry, packed with meetings, workshops and product launches. TFWA has laid on several enjoyable leisure activities which will help delegates to get acquainted and network with industry colleagues.

New this year is a Cookery Class for up to 20 people on Sunday 26th October 11.00-14.00 at Les Apprentis Gourmets on rue Teisseire just 300m from the Croisette.  Participants will be welcomed with a glass of wine before preparing a starter, main course and dessert under the supervision of Chef Jacques Di Guisto, who was until recently deputy head chef of Bruno Oger at the Majestic Hotel. They will then enjoy the fruits of their labours.

The 22nd Boss / Heinemann Travel Value Golf Tournament tee off at 07.30 on Sunday at the Mandelieu Old Course and the Riviera Golf Club. The format of play at both courses is Travel Value Scramble. A charity fee of Euro 100 will be requested from all participants which will be donated to the "Smile Train".

An  exhilarating Mountain Biking expedition sponsored by Timex will depart from the Majestic at 08.30 on Sunday and an expert guide will lead the way on a scenic descent of the Estérel Mountains.

The annual Tennis Tournament sponsored by Nutella will be staged at the idyllic Club Sportif de Montfleury at 08.30 on Sunday followed by prize-giving and a buffet lunch.

In the Place de l'Etang TFWA World Exhibition participants will be able to try their hand at the traditional sport of Petanque starting at 09.30 followed by lunch and prize-giving.

Stylish social events will add sparkle to the business week. The Opening Cocktail on Sunday at 19.30 will give participants a chance to meet up with friends old and new and will conclude with a magnificent firework display set to music.

Le Premium Evening on Thursday 30th at 19.30 will take a ‘flower power’ theme recreating the era of youth, music, peace and love. This black-tie soiree will include top class cuisine.

Entrance to these events, which take place at the Palm Beach, is by invitation only and a shuttle service will be available from major hotels. Spare tickets for the cocktail may be purchased in the onsite Registration Pavilion.

The Scene, TFWA's private nightclub, will be open at the Palm Beach from Monday 27th through Thursday 30th from 22.00 to 02.00. This subtle fusion of bar, club and restful lounge has established itself as the number one meeting place after hours.
