The house of Bond No.9 from New York collaborates with department store Saks Fifth Avenue on a new member of their fragrant family – perfume named Texas.
Fragrance Texas is built around citrusy aromas characteristic for the state of Texas. Opening notes incorporate: mandarin, bergamot, black currant, pineapple leaves. A heart beats in floral rhythm of jasmine, gardenia, Hedione, neroli and lily of the valley, while base notes close the composition with vanilla, vetiver, cardamom, musk and oakmoss.
The new edition is an exclusive unisex fragrance and will be sold in a very limited line of 400 flacons. The flacon itself is a small piece of art envisaged to depict the flag of Texas to the smallest details. It is embellished with red, blue and white Swarovski crystals in colours of Texas, and is crowned with a blue stopper.
The fragrance arrived on the market in August 2010. Available at Saks Fifth Avenue as Eau de Parfum for $360!

Hi Naheed, well i have found some really beautiful and hard to find/ discontinued fragrances here in the past, and what happens is that if there is a fragrance that is not popular here it may sit on the shelf for years until the retailer reduces the price.
Let's hope we both find it in our countries, and that we don't faint when we see the price.
Thanks for the suggestion Mocha but samples are generally not available here, sometimes they may allow you to test the perfume from the bottle though, if you are a regular customer, but most stores frown upon this and are more likely to spray a bit into the cap and let you smell it from there or not let you smell it at all before buying.
@mandi, I read your review on Fire Island and you definitely seem to love it. That means there are chances for Bond. no.9 to be available in Guyana. I would be more than interested to hear from you when you find it on the shelves and happen to learn about its price. Meanwhile I will also search if this brand is available in Pakistan and at what price:)
@mocha43, the idea of buying a sample is worth considering.
If you had the money you could buy it for the Swarovsky crystal flacon and if you found out you loved the scent, you would be twice ahead of the game. I hope samples are available so that just a small scent can be available for testing.
You're still lucky, Naheed, US$360 converts to $72,000 Guyana dollars (exchange rate of US 1 to G$200) plus we would have to pay 16% vat on that amount.
until 1 month ago (when i resigned) my salary as a legal researcher with a law degree was G$60,000; so this frag is definitely out of my league - oh the joys of living in an developing country.
But i guess if it was available in my country i would scrimpt and save to get get it - My grand mother had given me Fire Island as a present and it was the most unique fragrance, definitely worth it.
Too expensive but perfume lovers will definitely buy it and if the currency of my country was in $ I would definitely buy it but at present if I convert $ in Pakistani rupee it will be 30,801.60 PKR, too too much expensive for me:(
