The Perfume Drunk Up by Angles

This fall, generally fruitful with new fragrances, delights the Thierry Mugler fans with the new versions of the renowned fragrances. The theme of Angel, the first and the most famous Mugler's fragrance, does not cease to be further developed by the skilled noses and witty commercialists.

This year’s fragrant version of Angel – Angel Caprice Star – which has caused a great excitement among numerous perfume lovers due to limited number of bottles and a gorgeous content in them, as it can be seen was not the top of the quality of the anyhow qualitative and intensive fragrance.

The perfectionist Thierry Mugler, wishing to improve the already perfect Angel, has subjected the perfume to an experiment not usual for fragrances. He exposed it to air and time, two dangerous enemies of fragrances. To do this Thierry Mugler has cooperated with brandy producers: the perfume was poured into cherry wood boxes, in which it stayed for 23 weeks stored in special Remi Martin's storages, in order to get a milder aroma.

According to the experimenters, this new 'old' version of the perfume is better than original, as it is enriched with honey and woodsy aromas.

The new version of Angel is named after the imagery expression used by wine producers – La Part des Anges, or 'The Angels' Part'. This phrase refers to the alcohol part that evaporates under the influence of air and time while the wine is stored in barrels, what causes the content diminution. The wine that was ‘drunk up by angels' is by all means of a better quality. The 'Angels’ Part’ is not a poetical expression, but also has a (pseudo)scientific etymology – the medieval alchemists called the volatile substances – ‘angels’.

The bottle chosen for this precious version, La Part des Anges, repeats the shape of Angel Caprice Star, but is sprinkled with Swarowski crystals, which are so in this season.

The bottle size is 10ml and its price justifies the adjective ‘precious’ as it will be US$220, which might not be the last price, considering the limited edition.
It will be available in mid-October in exclusive shops. Out of the entire collection, 300 bottles will be available in France and the rest of 4742 around the world.

The accompanying product is also luxurious. It is a ring called "Rêve de parure et sa concrète de parfum - intimement Angel", which contains the absolute of classical Angel. The top is shaped in a form of star; it can be opened and the ring size can be adjusted. This luxurious knick knack that reminds of the medieval rings with secret container is sold separately from the perfume.
