Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure Shot

Thierry Mugler launches a special limited edition of men's fragrance A * Men from 1996 fourth year in a row. After A * Men Pure Coffee from 2008, A * Men Pure Malt from 2009 and A * Men Pure Havana from 2011, A * Men Pure Shot appears in early 2012.

A * Men Pure Shot edition was created by the perfumer who designed the original fragrance—Jacques Huclier. The new fragrance is fresh, aromatic, spicy and woody.

Top notes cool with stimulating aromas of icy mint and juniper berries. The heart evokes an adrenaline injection with spicy accords of cardamom and white pepper. Woody notes of sequoia and patchouli provide strength and intensity to the composition.

Top notes: mint, juniper berries
Heart: white pepper, cardamom
Base: sequoia, patchouli

The face of the perfume is the South African athlete Oscar Pistorius, a participant in the Paralympics, the holder of world records in Running for 100 m, 200 m and 400 m, known as the fastest man in the world with both legs amputated.

The fragrance is available in a white bottle with a prominent blue star, as 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Perf

I recieved Pure Shot yesterday and I just love it. Reminds me of a gin mojito with a dash of pepper. Sweet juniper berry is up front followed by cool mint. Dry down is a light patchouli and woods. My wife loves it. She says its a very clean fresh smell. On me it lasts about 6 to 8 hours. Projection is good. Better name would have been Pure Martini.

A*men is my signature scent, and I'm very excited to give Pure Shot a try. With a fresh top, spicy heart, and woody dry down, it sounds like a great fragrance. Perhaps it will be my daytime accompaniment to the original gourmand evening scent. I love the idea of the "limited edition" and if it's good, I will buy multiple bottles.

I guess fragrances are taking on a sporty theme this year because of the Olympic Games in London. Dolce & Gabbana,Issey Miyake,Givenchy, Hugo Boss and now Thierry Mugler...

Sounds like a boring sport version of the great A*Men fragrance. I really dislike almost every note listed for Pure Shot. At least mugler did not call it A*Men Pure Sport...

I'm still not sure what amputated legs have to do with A*Men, but I'm excited to try this. Mint isn't my favorite note, but I'm sure they'll put that Mugler flavor in it and make it good. Ice Men was fair, so I hope it's a big improvement or a lot different.

also the adrenaline injection metaphor is beautiful with the spices. I feel like buying it just for this advertisement! Congratulations to the concept designers, amazing work!!!

Wow, I sooo want it! The notes sound great, and I wanted to but an A*Men to my man but he likes very fresh fragrances, I didn't think the others where. This one I think will be the one. And I also love the message TM is sending using Oscar Pistorius as the face of the perfume. Good on him!
I can't wait to try it! :D
