American brand A Lab on Fire under the leadership of Carlos Kusubayashi introduces their new creation—What We Do In Paris Is Secret—which arrived on the market just in time for Valentine's day. The company debuted in April 2011 with L'Anonyme ou OP-1475-A.

His profound knowledge of French perfumery and his singular versatility in creating scents are his critical contributions to many current significant projects. Wild at heart, he is not averse to executing surprising twists. What We Do In Paris Is Secret goes one step further. It unveils what lies under the perfumer’s virtuosic skill—the secret of a perfumer’s soul."

top notes: bergamot, honey, lychee
mid notes: Turkish rose essence, vanilla, heliotrope
dry downs: tonka bean, tolu, sandal wood, ambergris
Style: textured, warm. Perfumer: Dominique Ropion
Guest artist: Jan Håkon Robson—our company is known as "an enigma wrapped in mystery" and the latest packaging, under the art direction of Norwegian illustrator Jan Håkon Robson, literally wraps the bottle with his sensual work on newsprint.

The fragrance is available at the A Lab On Fire website. WHAT WE DO IN PARIS IS SECRET 60 ml (2 oz.) EDP retails at $110.
The third fragrance, which is already announced on the company website and which will be launched in early 2012, is named Sweet Dreams 2003. The nose behind it is Thierry Wasser.

Quite apart from the typically overblown gaga marketing, the notes suggest something that may be eminently wearable and give pleasure.
