In 2008 many renowned cosmetic and perfume houses announce launch of new fragrances which will be promoted by some of the most popular celebrities.

This year a new fragrance for men by Dior can be expected. The face on ads for this fragrance will be Jude Law, an English film, TV and theatre actor, born on December 29, 1972 in London. He is well known for starring in number of films among which in Gattaca (1997), The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), All the Kings Men (2004), and many other... (lesechos.fr)

Givenchy (according to WWD) has signed a contract with popular singer Justin Timberlake who will, after Liv Tyler who was the face for Very Irresistible Givenchy, promote a fragrance line for men. Justin Timberlake,born on January 31, 1981, is American pop singer, text writer, producer, dancer and actor. Besides his success on music scene, he is well known for his romances with celebrities Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel.

Avon has made a great move by signing a multi-year contract with Patrick Dempsey, who has drawn a great public attention by his brilliant role as Dr. Derek Shepherd in Grey's Anatomy. Patrick Dempsey will be the face for Avon's new fragrance set for men starting with November 2008. Dempsey was born on January 13, 1966. He is well known for starring in The Emperor's Club, Freedom Writers and Enchanted. (WWD)

From July 2008 Evangeline Lilly will replace Josh Holloway on the ad for Davidoff Cool Water. This young Canadian actress, born on August 3, 1979, was nominated for Golden Globe award in 2007. She is known for her role in hit drama Lost (ABC).

I would like to remind that Davidoff has made an excellent marketing move with engaging actor Evan McGregory to be the face for recently launched fragrance Adventure. (WWD)
