After the original Parisienne from 2009, then Eau de Toilette and Parisienne A L `Extreme from 2010, Yves Saint Laurent presents Parisienne L'Essentiel in autumn 2011. This version is conceived as the essence of femininity and promises to be the most sophisticated and sensual so far.

Parisienne is: "A woman incredibly free. Free to think, free to act ... She conveys the joy of living and loving in the moment ... This is why Paris adopts her. She has the face of an angel, the body of a woman who didn’t sleep last night, an air of carnal knowledge. A woman in an evening gown at the break of day. Scandalous, some say? Free, she says. An Yves Saint Laurent woman. A true Parisienne …"

Parisienne L'Essentiel is an oriental-floral fragrance. It opens with notes of juicy blackberries mixed with vinyl accord. The heart of the composition includes a bouquet of iris, Damasc rose and Sambac jasmine. The base reveals accords of suede, tonka and musk.

Top notes: blackberry, vinyl
Heart: iris, rose, jasmine
Base: suede, tonka bean, musk

The new face of the fragrance is French model Marine Vacth. The fragrance is available as 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Ad seems (well is!) designed for young women (actually un-thinking very young women)...can't wait to see the described woman 20, hmmm 10 yrs or less actually, from now!!!...ohhh, is the fragrance any good?; it is made by a prestige mark, YSL...but unfortunately he's dead; hope the right folks are doing a good job?!?...

@Endymion: When a perfumer creates a perfume, he usually forms a mental image of the woman for whom he is creating this perfume. His image does not necessary need to fit the real woman - a Parisian or of any other real women. That is just his artistic and creative freedom. It is the duty of marketing department to incorporate this image into the story of a perfume in order to make it more appealing to the public and women who will buy it. Such descriptions of an imaginary woman are an integral part of almost every press release that we get and it is very logical that we will incorporate it in our article, along with information on the fragrance itself - such as olfactive group and ingredients, as you can see in this articles, as well as in any other. I don't see any problem here.

YSL could have at least dropped the vinyl - a true Parisienne woman would only ever wear the finest leather surely! This is the main reason I don't like the original one - lacks a touch of class.

So a real Parisienne woman always greets the morning in the streets of Paris after a long night (probably spent having sex) and she wears absolutely nothing but a nice black leather coat (maybe to get naked within a second?).

Strange but I never thought that french women are so loose :)

I gotta add my voice to the crowd and say that I too am getting mighty sick of all this flanker shenanigans. What annoys me is that the basic design of the bottles remains the same, they just throw a bit of colour gradient on the bottle and then its good to go. No wait! Let's do that a few more times and make them limited edition seasonal releases!

Sigh. At least the Eiffel Tower isn't in the background.

Lol Endymion you are so right Lol Oh and about the description of the Parisienne women, the image I got in my mind was a prostitute with a massive hang over, smelling of puke and beer with all her make up melting on her face. Thats really a picture!

I really like the original Parisienne, but I'm not interested in trying all these new flankers of it...

Am I the only one who finds the variations annoying?.. Like the gazillion versions of Givenchy Very Irresistible and Ange ou Demon. It's technically the same fragrance, they just add or delete a few notes and say: "Oh yeah this is a totally new fragrance...". If you're so good with perfumes, why don't you surprise us with smth new and unexpected, even if it's not perfect?! Oh, and i compared Parisienne A L'Extreme and the original... L'Extreme is just the EDP.
So, if you agree with me and Endymion, thumbs up!

I am soooo f*cking annoyed with such blantant marketing stuffs when the release a new fragrance and they talk about "the woman/the man who is..." blablablabla!
C'mon, write some text about THE FRAGRANCE ITSELF!!!!
No one cares about an imagined person because we have read these line A ZILLION TIMES!
Were is the fragrance in these lines? I'm sorry, I couldn't read a word in these lines that was about the fragrance, the compostions, the ingredients whatsoever.

Sorry for letting myself pissed off again!
