
Fendi Palazzo Perfume is a new and luxurious fragrance of the Fendi house, launched this September. The fragrance and the bottle design is a product of joint efforts of Karl Lagerfeld, Silvia Fendi and perfumer Francois Demachy. The fragrance is named after the actual building of the Palazzo Fendi, in Rome, in which the Fendi brand has gone through a real renaissance, and the one that brings Fendi back to the roots.
Built at the end of the 18th century, it replaced an older building that was built on that spot in 17th century. The Pallazo Fendi, one of the jewels of Rome, carries a neo-classical architecture mark of Gaetano Kock, who also signed some of the most prestigious ancient buildings.
After 2005, at the 80th anniversary of the Fendi house, this building was given a new interior by Peter Marina, who has renovated and designed the 700 square meters of the two-floor sales space in a luxuriant and glamorous manner in line with the Fendi house.
The inspiration for the new fragrance came from Karl Lagerfeld who, browsing a book with pictures of Rome in 14th century, saw a picture of Pallazo Tavern and used it as a base for the new fragrance and its composition.
Fendi Palazzo Perfume is devoted to women who are very delicate and feminine, yet at the same time strong. Silvia Fendi wanted to create a fragrance that will attract attention and when a woman wearing it enters a room, everyone asks:”What perfume are you wearing?”
The woody floral composition brings us scents of Mediterranean breeze, intoxicates us with sweetly fresh notes of mandarin and bergamot, and a spicy touch of pink pepper. The heart is seductive and luscious, very feminine. It opens with notes of orange blossom, sweet and intensive jasmine and two real vamps – Turkish and Bulgarian rose. The base brings sophisticated woodsy notes of patchouli, Guaiac wood and warm sandal wood.
The bottle is Fendi Pallazo in small. Heavy and palatial in baroque style, as a symbol of the brand, the bottle is elegant and distinct.
