Mango blossom is the blooming of the tropical fruit trees in the genus Mangifera. Mango blossoms are very attractive and large but their fragrance is often described as very peculiar and often not so pleasant. The flowers are small and white with five petals and sweet odor that resembles that of lily of the valley. Rabindranath Tagore was fond of mangoes and he wrote many poems about the mango blossom.
