No... just not for me.
I normally love rich, powerfull, sexy scents but this? It made me want to rip my wrist off.
Its is pungent... NONE of the smells stand out they all blend into a mix of candied fruity blaaaghhh!!

This scent smells like a cross between beer and cola.

After my first experience of this, I got Tiare Flower-anybody else? Regarding the comments that this isn't truly a dark, mysterious scent, remember that in the commercial perfume world, "sultry, seductive, deep, etc" is following on a decade of tutti-fruiti delights and so therefore, are very meek in comparison to our old favorites from the 30s-50s and the 80s.

It's my perception of it...We all can't have the same tastes...I do get that burned note, but it reminds me of baked/burnt flour ...I do like your description of Secret Obsession...Thumbs up....but I don't get the flowers at all...All is dryed of life for me...it's without substance it's just smoke and mirors...Superficial...
I'm entitled to a opinion!NO? This is mine!

I've tried it today. What can I say more that I'll sure have it before X-mas! It is the kind of smell I've been searching for a long time. Secret Obsession is such a sexy fragrance and the advertising just says it all...Besides you all know it can't be smoke without a fire.
What I want to mention is the fact that Secret Obsession is a high quality perfume and the drydown is simply adorable. In the first hour it can be a little spicy, but the mixture and balance are perfect. I also don't understand why it's compared with the smell of cookies. It smells much much better than some baked cookies :D
So, it's not a very gourmand scent, not so clean, not so heavy either, but very interesting and mysterious. What I like the most is the orange blossom notes combined with the burnt amber and sandalwood. Really amazing!

Its smells awsome, i have try it and next botle of my parfume will be the CK Secret obsession ;)

well, it smells 'bestseller', or wannabe bestseller at least. I think it was made to appeal popular taste. Warm, sweet and spicy fragrance. I don't know what's going on recently with CK, I like their 'older' scents, but these days all their new fragrances seemed to loose the complexity and the depth, altogether with edginess and experimental side, therefore they are not that interesting anymore, just seem bland and trying to fit in. But don't get me wrong they smell 'nice', but just that, not a compliment though, haircare products smell 'nice' too.

What a misleading adverising!!What a disapointment!!The advertising says it's provocative, lustfull...adictive...
You know what think...I agree with Maryel about a gradmas kitchen...It smells like bottled cookies.Maybe it's that pinchy nutmeg ginger thing at the begining...
But on second thought I read a study that men like the smell of fresh backed cookies!!So perhaps that's the purpose here...otherwise it's Secret Obsession...but maybe for baked goods!!
If someone whants to smell like she just baked a fresh batch of cookies...buy Secret Obsession!!You don't have to be a great cook to smell like cookies...
From the point of view of the composition notes, I don't get any flowers just a warm smell of baked cookies...I think flowers should smell fresh to be seductive, here it's like a potpouri..dried rose petals, dried orange zest, dried tree bark and the sandalwood gives me that impresion... everything dried and sucked of life!
The advertising says...it's between love and madness...yes for cookies!!
It's not my cup of tea...but I'll have a big glass of milk with my Secret Obsession, please!

After a few hours of sleep the drydown is lovley. The floral part is still there in perfect balance with the sandalwood, musk and vanilla. I have to emphasize that this fragrance would suit anyone (not just only tanned brunettes), because the drydown is mild but still wonderful and alluring. A must have!
11/24/08 05:33:38

This is a very beautiful and classy scent! At first it is a bit too spicy for my taste but when it starts to bloom it becomes very feminine. Perhaps the rose and jasmine? There is something dark in he scent that makes me think it would suit a tanned brunette better than a fair blonde, and that it would be more wearable nighttime than daytime? But it is a complex fragrance... Tonight Im going to sleep with a little spritz on my wrist, to be back soon with more details regarding the drydown...

It was freezing today, and I spent most of my work time outside, so I had intentionally used Secret Obsession. It is wonderful, sweet and comforting, but not vanilla type of sweetness. It smells like plum jam or fruit from strudle or some plums or prunes in liqueur and had quite and impressive staying power (5hours). Later it changed into more flowery soapy scent. It is playful, not too complicated and would suit as an evening fragrance for a young woman. To me it is a gourmand, not oriental floral scent.
11/22/08 16:30:41

the bottle looks good to me but the scent is too light for me,although it s interesting.some of ck perfumes are really great.

i was dissapointed when i smelled it.the first "OBSESSION"is much better ,i might say fabulous and unique
10/18/08 10:07:34

Secret Obsession is a sexy, floral fragrance. I like it! (but my scent is Euphoria:)
10/17/08 23:34:25
of course i bought it,,, always the classic obsession lover, i just thought it would be really something!well... put it on about twice, then back to my euphoria,,, i am afraid not same level with the old classic intoxicating Obsession!!...
10/13/08 19:29:19

the bottle is much like nomadic by oriflame, well, i usually dont like oriental floral scents with a few exception so no wonder why i dont really appreciate this, its not bad, but i cant feel any unusual or new thing in it, and its not sexy either i think, but preferences are different, and with others chemistry it might go well
10/11/08 17:47:06

OMG! It’s a lighter version of Fragile! Don’t you think so? But it has nothing to do with classic Obsession.
10/07/08 21:23:52

I bought this to wear on my wedding day, and it has not disappointed! I love the smell; not to floral, more woodsy. I can't wait for my husband-to-be to smell it.

There is something in this fragrance that invokes memories of my grandma and her little country house out in rural Nebraska. It has a sweet rosy incense-y scent that mingles with a warmed up nutmeg/vanilla aroma. It is not gourmand but it is a delicious mix of flowers and comfort smells that conjures a long ago era. I do believe the Egyptian jasmine lends itself well into making this an otherworldly fragrance... not quite familiar but something from long ago and far away that is easily taken in as a calming bouquet. This is for wearing in cooler weather in order to bring about its warm comforting essence. I can imagine wearing this any time for any occasion. I would probably layer the lotion and EdP for evening wear. I love it!

This is a lot better than Obsession. Although I don't like spicy/orientals Secret Obsession will be a fragance I will certainly wear in fall(Autumn). The top, middle and base notes are very distinct yet in saying so, it's not a mixed messy smell. Well done.
09/29/08 06:51:46

There is only the plum in it. It is too fruity? How? It is more of a rosy, spicy and ambery gourmand perfume. I think it's one of the best by CK in many years.
09/28/08 02:07:35

Too fruity to my taste. It's like a very very riped fruit, almost candied. After an hour the rose is noticeable and the overall impression is better than the opening.
Nevertheless, I wouldn't buy it, and if I had a sample of this I wouldn't use it. It's almost a scrubber for me.

I've been waiting for this fragrance since it has been announced and now I'm disappointed...nothing more but just a fresh laundry
09/24/08 19:45:57
Soft, spiced, burning sweet rose incense. The dry down is still a work in progress. More details later....

I really smell the nutmeg and jasmine in this fragrance. I like it much better than Obession. I smell alot of sandlewood on the dry down. Pretty nice fragrance.

I am looking forward to this CK fragrance. It seems to have many of the notes I look for in an Oriental Floral. Euphoria was never enticing for me, so perhaps Secret Obsession will make up for that loss.
08/28/08 21:59:48

First saw the print ad with a sample in recent womens mag and OMG its so unbeleivably amazing- if you like Amber, Sandalwood, or Nag Champa scents, you will love it- and oddly it seems very unisex- would smell sexy on man or woman- Amazing.
