beautiful bottle, but the scent is just too feminine. you should be a very very confident man to wear this fragance. i only use this to go to listening poetry or something like that.

A cousin of mine wears this, and allthough it smells great on him it smells divine on me. This is definitely a unisex fragrance, maybe it even smells better on women.

Akhh When I first sprayed the cologne it's alright from the top notes but as it settles in ... ITS A DISASTER ... I HATED IT ... Smells awful ... Smells like an expired cologne ... Definitely, I would not recommend this to anyone ... But some people might like it ... I guess it does not go well with the chemistry of my skin ...

This Dior scent was not made for anyone. You have to be a real man, with atittude and class to wear it.
In the beginnig, it reminds me the smell of a make-up. To much powdery and strong. But, its evolution in the skin is strong and powerful. The scent becomes a little bit soft and sweet in its base and it lasts for hours and hours.
Great smell only for great men.

Hands down, definitely one of my favorite male fragrances. I was completely intrigued and hypnotized the first time I smelt it on male skin- this is a rare occurrence for me, as most male fragrances I come across are quite similar.

Truly unique and complex. I love the combination of notes and the way it reacts to the skin- Undeniably sexy and oozes charisma and character.

A romantique scent. Very suitable for fall weather. It's soft, sweet, gentle and sexy. I just wish it has a better longervity.

I love this fragrance. Its a cologne that only true cologne fans would appreciate for its complexity. It changes throughout the day of wearing it but one of my favorite parts is the iris. It has such a haunting character, its there one minute and then gone the next.
I agree with girco that it does have limited wearability. It is definitely a sensual scent, and not appropriate for all situations. Especially important with this cologne (as it is with most high end fragrances) that this be applied directly to the skin. It completely changes the scent.

I have 2 say that this one it's my favourite! It's a powerful fragrance, a long lasting and just amazing from top notes 2 the base notes! Love it!

[******] Bold and original with dark floral notes, yet masculine. A self-confident, almost suave scent (but not cool, nor casual). Best for night time. My favourite men's scent and an ideal signature scent. Very long lasting. Spawned a lot of copycat floral scents (eg, Viktor&Rolf), all inferior. Handsome design also.

I warned you in my review: use too much, you'll fill up the building with your smell. ( And, yes it will be sweet, very very sweet)

Maybe that happened to you (overspraying).

I suggest :

After showering just 1x spray dior in the air in front of you and just step throug. The moluculair size droplets will spread over your body. The middle and base note will be more dominant this way (less sweet).

a special scent from a famous french house:

Dior Homme is (in my opinion) destine to become a classic. It isn't nearly as sweet as most gourmands nor is it as feminine as most floral's. A distinct leather note blends perfectly with the iris and lavender.

The drydown is amazing, even stunning, and one of a few colognes I over apply purposefully (!).

Many fragrances have specific applications...again, in my opinion, and I'd categorize Dior Homme as a "sensual/romantic" fragrance:

I wouldn't wear it to a football game with my buddies or to a closing of a sales agreement, but it lends itself much better to a "familiar lover" situation.

Dior Homme is hardly "macho manly" as the likes of Bois du Portugal or Havana, but it is more of a "sensitive manly" which is suitable for intimately situations. The perfect application would be a night at the symphony, the opera, a Broadway play or a fine restaurant dressed to the nines with a beautiful familiar lover.

But......

i do wear it also to the office (often),and my secretaries love it.....very,very much..

(for office use: JUST 2 sprays is enough, it will last the day..otherwise....you WILL fill the building !

for more intimate purpose: overapply, you won't regret it.......)

It is there to stay in my scents wardrobe..

It is not for every man, some guys feel vulnerable wearing this....but if you have the stomach...you'll will love this

A real gentlemans fragrance, very good sillage and great leather drydown
