Body Kouros (for men)
Designer: Yves Saint Laurent Olfactive Group: Oriental SpicyThe concept of Body Kouros is ‘a God with a body of a winner’. Just like its predecessor, Kouros is inspired by Greece mythology. The fragrance is adapted to the cult of perfectly shaped body and bodybuilding. Body Kouros is a paradoxical fragrance which unifies translucence and density, fresh opening and soft, comfortable drydown.
Brisk nutmeg and eucalyptus in alliance with airy, sweetly spiced anise create a contrast to smoky and unsubstantial incense. Then, the composition becomes warmer and accommodating due to the base components: benzoin, caramel, Tonka and sandalwood. The perfume was created by Annick Menardo in 2000.
Body Kouros was launched in 2000.

I always thought this fragrance too domineering and overtly sexual, but I can't help but say that you cant ignore this hyper-masculine and extremely hypnotic fragrance.
I love the original KOUROS for what it is, but this flanker just grabs hold of your senses and doesn't let it go for a moment; it's spellbinding!
It's a sad thing that because most people don't wear enough fragrance or none at all or even as an afterthought, that beautiful perfumes like this are tossed aside and considered 'too overpowering'; but not for anyone who is daring enough and passionate about what Life and living is all about.
This fragrance is not for the faint-hearted, conservative and shy man - it's for real men who know what they want and not afraid to stand out in a crowd.
I believe it has no distinct target age-group (even though the marketing is blatantly masculine and youthful) but I do know that more mature men (I'm nearly 50, not physically body-image conscious, and I love it) should wear it as a bold statement of their sexuality and existence as men of all ages should be.

To me, the base note is really similar to La Male with that sweet dry vanilla ( or caramel? ). I love this modern sexy manly sweet. Body Kouros has a great longervity, a great bottle, a great scent, and a really reasonable price. You should have it!
