Odo-res 79 by Acqua Novara is an oriental woody fragrance for women and men, introduced as EDP in 2010. These new fragrances arise from the analysis of many ingredients, proceeding from "vintage" and wisely worked farming, and become fruit of the italian perfume tradition. Top notes are incense, brazilian rosewood, cassis and patchouli; middle notes are sandalwood and virginia cedar; base notes are french labdanum, guaiac wood, amber and myrhh.

Now that I joined Fragrantica I re-post my review of Acqua Novara 79.

My english is not perfect, but i will try to translate from italian my review of Acqua Novara 79.
One of the most interesting and original oriental - woody EDPs ever tested, realized with top quality ingredients. First of all, a refined nepalese incense. It is dry and bitter, but preserves all the mystic and meditative sumptuousness of incense, and it can be enjoyed from the top to the base. Various woods and resins are the background of this marvellous soloist, donating to it a bit of their different charateristics. Patchouly gently makes the mix darker with great balance, and styrax gives off its enveloping and hypnotic fragrance. A perfume with a great personality and strong persistence.

i'm looking for a fragrance which smells very nice and unique(woody,oriental,aromatic...etc.light or heavy but manly); especially surrounds my body and clothes-but in safe mode and modern way-.it must be effectual but it should never hurts my nose censors.could you please help me sensitive fragrantica people ::)))

Una delle più interessanti ed originali EDP orientali-legnose mai provate finora, realizzata con ingredienti palesemente di primissima qualità, fra i quali spicca fino al fondo un raffinatissimo incenso nepalese, secco ed amaro, che però conserva intatta tutta la sontuosità dell'incenso. Vari legni e resine pregiati fanno da sottofondo a questo meraviglioso solista, donandogli un po' dei loro differenti caratteri, mentre il patchouly scurisce lievemente il tutto con grande equilibrio, e lo storace diffonde la sua avvolgente ed ipnotica fragranza. Un profumo di gran carattere, con una forte persistenza.
