Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo - Fico di Amalfi was presented in 2006 as a floral-fruity fragrance for women.
The top notes bring the Italian breeze from the Mediterranean, with fresh and sweet notes of bergamot, orange, luminous lemon, dazzling bittery grapefruit and mandarin wood. A heart is composed of fig, pink pepper and jasmine, while a base is full of musk, cedar and fig milk.
It comes as 60ml and 120ml (2 and 4 oz)EDT with matching body care products.

A light, unanbitious yet remarkably honest fig composition enriched by a catchy grapefruit note on top and laying on a clean musky/woody base. Fico Di Amalfi carefully avoids the coconut effect by enhancing the leafy aspect of the main element and pairing it with a slight dose of pink pepper. Well creafted and extremely easy to wear. In this context it could represent a valid option for anyone who's looking for a spring/summer fragrance at a reasonable price. If you don't expect something groundbreaking, you won't be disappointed. Nice.

OMG I love love love this scent! My BFF and I are total perfumistas, and were in Neimans looking for an original scent, something unusual. I tried out this one and the Arancia. We both liked the Arancia, but I was mesmerized by the Fico...all the sleepy braincells were being reactivated! Glorious! And the scent is not overpowering, the first shot is so tantalizing and the dry down is well- cozy and warm and inviting. It is a must have, but not from Neimans. AS customers, we like our customer service to be as inviting as the fragrance, and we like the service to be a little bit more knowledgeable-much more, actually.
fig indeed. with a nice blended background of the rest of the notes.
when we were kids we used to have a fig tree and for the leaves smellt so strange, we used to tear pick them from time to time.
this smells a lot like those leaves. dont expect this to smell like dried fruits. it is fig leaves. and not so ripe figs at best.
smells very fresh and natural.
I felt in love at the first sniff
If Diptyque's Phylosiko is the wintery, slightly masculine fig scent for fig lovers, this fig scent is the fresher, feminine fig redolence. It lacks the woody undertones that enrich Phylosiko, but sometimes the weather and/or mood, calls for something wetter and less heady. I do love it.
This is a truly beautiful citrus scent that would work nicely for both sexes. Reminds me of Moschino I Love Love except it is less tart, more complex, a bit sweeter and much creamier. The fig is quite noticeable as well. As others have mentioned the lasting power is very poor for something so pricey but if that weren't the case I'd already own a bottle. ;')
It opens with an note of orange the pungent scent of grapefruit dries down
to an zesty accord of Lemon the pink pepper note is less predominate then
in gucci Envy me or Naomi Campball's
Seductive Elixer and Cat Deluxe with
Kisses the one of my earlier reveiews
fails to catch on. Fig is the predominate note in this scent how to
describe it it's pretty complex to me
in my senses it's semi-sweet with an earthy accord' but unfortunitly it does'nt last long and the grape fruit and lemon makes it smell like a bit wood polish but an interesting scent.
The packaging and color reminds me of The Luc Besson Movie Le Grand Bleu.
everytime i wear this i think of of the
movie and the Charactor who played
Jacques Mayol Jean Marc Barr *sighs*
This is unisex, here is listed as "for women" anyway I think this is the best fig fragrance I ever came across.
But I think all Blu Mediterraneo line works only for the summertime...
In my search for a summer fragrance I could not omit trying out Fico di Amalfi. I quite like other fragrances from the line, this one however rather wont be one of my favourites.
The name promises a fig. And somehow the fig ends up so 'cpntaminated' by all the other notes that becomes completely overwhelmed. The first spray is a punch of citrus notes with some pink pepper undertones. And it stays pretty much the same for the rest of the time it spends on the skin. I see it as a somehow enhanced version of Light Blue by D&G that I simply cant stand.
Fico di Amalfi is less 'fun' than the latter, it seems more sensual and feminine, but it does not fulfill the promise it gives. Pleasant, nice, excellent for hot weather, but somehow lacking at the same time.
The scent is lively and invigorating. Very lovely blend of citrus and fig. I love it and my daughter loves it.
I am amazed at how much this smells like actual figs! I agree with Kterhark, the staying power is alright but not great (I needed to reapply in a little less than two hours), but the smell is very original and pleasant.
I cannot say I loved it, though, because I didn't dream of smelling like figs, but I am super impressed with how well their scent was reproduced here!
I wasn't a big fan of fig based scent but this perfume totally got me hypnotized. Incredibly refreshing and makes me feel like i'm walking on a beautiful field that doesn't exist in reality. AWESOME!
While I understand that market dynamics seem to demand constant expansion these days, even of traditional fragrance firms, it is sometimes just better to keep doing what you have done well for a hundred years and stick with that. And if you're going to branch out, to do it right. Colonia by Aqua di Parma is such a classic, it truly stands tall among traditional Italian colognes and those of the other great perfume nations. The giant blob of mass market luxury marketing known as LVMH which now own Acqia di Parma knows little of the responsibility that should come with bearing such a rich heritage and much of milking a well-establoshed name for profit, or so would be my conclusion from trying a number of the more recent offerings from this house: the inept mutilation that is Colonia Assoluta (the Germans have that wonderful word "Verschlimmbesserung," meaning "improving for the worse"); the gruesome cheap-scented-candle abomination Mandorlo di Sicilia; the insipid Arancia; and now the utterly superfluous Fico di Amalfi. For the perfume world needs an inferor version of Diptyque's Phylosikos with a citrus top as much as Italian democracy needs people like Silvio Berlusconi.
Really, all the folks at AdP need to do now is reformulate the original Colonia with cheap synthetics and another great name will have been run into the ground by the barbarity of brainless profit maximization.
Fico di Amalfi is just the smell of the Mediterranean, incredibly natural and so pleasant, and also very feminine. I love it, and L'Artisan also has one lovely scent with fig tree.
All frags from the collection of Acqua di Parma-Blu Mediterraneo are of high quality.I spent much time in the Mediterranean and I can say this is the most beautiful Mediterranean journey.
I thought this smelled very herbacious. No other word for it. I seem to be in the minority on this, but I didn't enjoy this and it didn't remind of the tropics at all!
The moment I smelt Fico di Amalfi I must have been in a trance. I immediately pictured myself on a quiet, tropical beach on a hot Summer's day sipping a refreshing, fruity beverage.
Although this is the first Acqua di Parma fragrance I've tried, I am already impressed by the quality and creativity that went into creating their scents.
I often dislike the Summer months because I can never find a scent that works with my chemistry or one that appeals to me. In most cases fruity florals, aquatics and citrusy fragrances aren't my cup of tea. However, Fico di Amalfi is more than just a fruity floral fragrance.
Obviously, for the price and the name, this fragrance is definitely not cheap smelling. Fico di Amalfi is sweet, almost like sugared candy, however this scent is in no way artificial.
The fig note in this fragrance is delightful and it works well with the other notes in this scent, especially the citrus. Without the fig notes, Fico di Amalfi would have lost its charm.
I really love how the pink pepper gives this fragrance that extra something, that extra kick while the jasmine makes this scent so feminine and comforting. Fico di Amalfi is successful in achieving that relaxed holiday atmosphere through scent.
I have no qualms with the lasting power, it lasted really well on my skin, and even better, the scent worked well with my skin chemistry.
I will definitely be considering this fragrance for my collection when the weather heats up. I can't think of a better choice for the swealtering heat over here in Australia.
I absolutely love this one.
Today I came over the newly arrived Blu Mediterraneo and I picked by sniffing from the bottles this one. At first it's so citrusy that I thought at first- well, nothing very special another citrusy summer fragrance. But then after minute I changed my mind- It actually smells funny! Like lemon + loads of sugar= lemon candy! And for sure- not synthetic at all- It's rather luminous and juicy. Further lemon candy thing runs to background and there is another thing. Well, definitely I smell leaf and jasmine if I stick my nose to wrist. But that luxurious sweetness that accompanies sugar citruses must be that fig thing. Ohrr.. I love figs so much. I remember quite long ago I ate some, but don't remember how it smelled. I will also say that it's lasting power is not poor on me it's average and sillage is medium too. I think it's great for summer for those who love lemon candy and wants to wear sweet perfume in hot weather.
This is a beautiful blend of citrus and intense fig notes. Very vitalizing!
Sweet comfortable, natural fig scent. My boyfriend finally said I smelt good and I love it too. But as the others state, it is not long-lasting at all!
Starts out with a mixture of different cituses with a dash of pepper...
I really love this fragrance, yeah the only think is that it doeasn't last too long
I have come to enjoy Acqua Di Parma Fragrances. With my last purchase (Absoluta), I received a sample of this this scent. I enjoyed the fruitiness mixed in with the classic Acqua Di Parma scent. The only complain I have is that it did not last more than a couple of hours.
