Profumo by Acqua di Parma, started its life in 1930 and got new jeweller facet in the hands of unsurpassed Nathalie Lorson in 2008, fascinates by its classical perfection. Following classical traditions of Italian perfumery, fragrances of Acqua di Parma are produced of natural components. I had a great pleasure testing this fragrance - chypres are my favourites.

Profumo starts very intense, but sharpness of bergamot is softened by ylang-ylang and peony, which adds slightest creamy tenderness to the opening. Jasmine and rose balance the composition, and amber smoothly leads to the sensual base - which was the most fascinating for me: I never smelled such "very woody" chypre. If I didn't smell the opening, I would be sure that this perfume belongs to the woody family. The base is deep and rich: forest-like wetness of oakmoss and vetiver, is softened by sandalwood, contrasted by light smokiness of patchouli and warmed up by musk.
I couldn't stop smelling my wrist - I couldn't get enough! Though the dry down is very woody (I think, it could be also a great masculine perfume), this scent is bright and happy-colored - the beauty itself.
