This wafts in with a very delicate mixture of basil, citrus, myrtle, a vague aquatic freshness as well as a touch of rose petal on a base of gentle woods. Unfortunately, the sum of its parts does not exceed the whole. This is the type of fragrance that you would use to spray the bottoms of a Mediterranean babies to compensate for less welcome odors.

I sprayed this about 10 times on all of the places that I dare to spray (and a few that I normally would not!) but the effect dissipates entirely before I even have time to tie my shoelaces.

Nothing to write home about, unless you live in Parma.

Gin & Tonic, and not in a bad way. This is just effortlessly refreshing, but with an underlying sweetness this ensures there's no 'all purpose cleaner' in the citrus top notes. I could sniff this All. Day. Long.

I can't justify hand soap as a cologne for the price. This reminds me of the classic scented antibacterial hand soap...I love it as a soap...not as something I would wear.

I'm writing this review as I experience this fragrance for the first time--trying out a few from the Acqua di Parma line before I purchase one as a gift for my father as his spirits are low.

On my skin, on the first spray it strikes me as a masculine scent. The myrtle is dominant. It smells "wet" and a little soapy. Very quickly settles very close to the skin. Actually, it reminds me of the years-ago smell around the bathroom sink after my father had washed up--traces of old world soap, sweet after-shave, maybe some thick eucalyptus-based liniment.

Pleasant. Not the fresh and uplifting scent I'm seeking to brighten up my father's day right now.

I'm very excited to see "Myrtle" as the prominent note in a perfume.
"Myrtle" has a very nice, mellow, soft and heaven-like smell.

Mirto di Panarea was the first fragrance I bought from ADP. When I first spray this juice on my skin I ♥ the aroma of Myrtle with green/citrus aromatic notes makes this juice a BEAST..perfect during the summer months. The herbal/floral note of juniper berry and jasmine gives this fragrance a real base tone without spoiling Myrtle. Just a hint of woodsy notes helps to soften the citrusy/floral blend.
Longevity and Silage is excellent lasting over 8hrs when I sprayed it 2x on my skin.
Finally thoughts,
Year's ago in my youth, before the internet and cellphone, I thought that any fragrance over 80.00 was a rip off. Oh boy was I wrong, being more mature and more appreciative of fine quality fragrance most are definitely worth it. This juice is ABOUSOTLEY BEAUTIFUL...this line was designed to be unisex some more masculine tone and some definitely more feminine. I don't care what any say, I LOVE this juice and I'm a guy. 10/10...ENJOY using this juice.

Clean, crisp, fresh, Mirto di Panarea depicts perfectly the 'out of shower' feeling to me. The scent on the whole is like a cool breeze, bringing different nuances to the nose from time to time. At first, it's the subtle aromatic citrus and a hint of basil. After about 20 minutes, gentle floral sweetness seems more prominent. And eventually, it's the crisp herbal and coniferous nuances mixing with a delicate salty note that take the leading role.

The sillage is soft and the longevity is around 6 hours. My only gripe is that the fragrance can veer off being soapy or aquatic or reminiscent of cleaning products at times, although not excessively so. I'd definitely recommend Mirto di Panarea to those who are looking for a fragrance with the 'freshly out of shower' feeling, but do test before buying if you're sensitive to soapy or aquatic notes.

I must say, that this Parfume is really interesting one. I thought it will be some leisure soft parfume that wont lasts long, but.....but......it lasts more then 8 hours on my skin. Even if it´s 35 degrees outside and i am all wet, I can smeel it anyway.
I can smell there in the opening soft sweet flowers of Myrth which come across with citrus. Whe you wait 2 or 3 hours, you will smell like heaven in full Blosoom - freshness, flowers and very pleasant Scent,
Worth to try it, even if Parma is not a cheap ones :P

Mirto di Panarea is a beachy, woody, citrus entry unlike most others in the ADP Blu line in that it is neither particularly citrus-intensive or sweet. The myrtle reminds me of the beach, as does the hint of citrus---mainly bergamot, to my nose.

It doesn't lose much intensity throughout its lifespan, so it's relatively linear and consistent. Average longevity and projection.

Interesting and distinctive, MdP nonetheless strikes me as more of a room fragrance than a personal one, especially not a masculine one, contrary to many opinions.

It falls into the category of one that needs to be smelled and not blind bought, especially given the relatively uncommon myrtle note.

I´m not sure yet about this, when I first tried I didn't like, I found it a bit harsh and strange. I think I´m not much of a fan of the Myrtle note. But one day later the shirt was smelling great and I gave another chance. I still don't like so much on my skin, but smells better and more interesting when I forget about it and the smell reaches my nose. It's fresh and kinda linear all the way long, and, as much of the others Blue Mediterraneo scents, sillage is average to below average, and longevity part time period, 4 hs. For sure I´m going to give it more tries.

First hit is quite masculine marine citrus, then it turns cheap and plastic very fast but this doesn't last long before it becomes pleasant unisex. The myrtle does not stand out enough to save it from blandness. I wouldn't buy this but it's ok. Was hoping for something more expensive smelling from this brand. Ouch just sniffed again and there's that plastic note, almost vinyl car seat. No, this one is wrong :/

Most gorgeous opening to a fragrance I've ever tried. Never smelled anything so unique. The way the herbs blend with the watery notes and soap. The thing that gets me is the dry down. The fantastic opening doesn't get better nor does it gently subside. It just turns screechy and stale. Not bad but the word annoying comes to mind. Maybe it needs musk or lavender in order to land gently.

It's like lots of Myrtle floating in a bath of fresh, sweet lemon-lime juice that someone has dropped a clean white bar of soap into. Meanwhile, the bathroom is filled with clean, cool sea breezes blowing in from a large open window. I can smell the juniper in the background, but not forthright, it's like that fresh, crisp aromatic edge that juniper gives off, but not as astringent and sharp as it is when smelling the actual plant.

This sounds like a contradiction but this scent is very soft and pretty, while at the same time it is fresh, invigorating and cleanly herbal.

Sweet and sour citrus with the emphasis on bitter orange in the initial spray.

On the dry down, it's much sweeter. There is a background note and I'm thinking that it's the black currant. I don't really notice the lemon at all and the orange is, without question, the major player in the show.

I'm not particularly impressed and find it fairly generic. With the hundreds or possibly even thousands of orange fragrances to choose one, I'm fairly certain that I can find one that's more appealing for the money.

Smells great on a test strip. I got an Acqua di Parma sampler pack because I want to hit the summer running with a couple new scents that I like. This one I feel really needs its dry down as the initial spritz reminded me of Pert shampoo from the 80s. Once that softens down, it is a really nice, fresh scent that, since I'm not as good at detecting notes, I would describe as giving a zesty, summer nip to your nose.

Acqua di Parma makes the most unique scents. In the perfume world, citrus is so overdone, boring and sometimes so artificial / headache inducing (especially when mixed with florals).

Instead of "forcing" your nose to examine the different notes, a good scent should conjure up beautiful images in your head and bring you to a moment in time/memory immediately upon smelling, focusing on the whole feeling of the scent instead of it's components. Mirto di Panarea does exactly that!

So in love! Another gem from Acqua di Parma!

For that fresh out of the shower feeling that can't be beat, try Mirto di Panarea. Something green - which I assume is the myrtle leaf - sits rather uncomfortably beside the citruses (you know when you don't really want to sit next to a particular person and you lean away from them) before slowly fading away. The 'sea breeze' accord is more 'up in the hills of a Mediterranean island' than on the waterfront.

Unfortunately, this is a Fresh Out Of The Shower Feeling Mach 5. When you use a shower gel you generally only have traces of the scent on you after having dried off. With Mirto di Panarea it feels like you're still covered in the stuff, so at this stage (I haven't worn it much so you never know, I may change my mind) it's a pass for me.

I like Mirto di Panarea, it taught me what myrtle smells like (I recognized the smell, but would never have been able to name it; the sort of lovely aha-erlebnis I've been having pretty often ever since I started exploring the world of perfumes almost a year ago). More importantly, it taught me that I LIKE the smell of myrtle.
I especially love the first phase of this scent; it's very fresh, but in an original and aromatic way, because the myrtle is so dominant. I'm sure the citrus and basilicum also play an important role at this stage, they help with the freshness, but I actually can't make them out very well, they play more of a supporting role to the myrtle.
Now we come to the refrain I've been singing in my reviews of several Blu Mediterraneo scents, that I sadly have to repeat here, too: I think I could love this perfume, if only this first magical phase lasted for longer than half an hour...But it doesn't. After a while the other green woody notes and especially the aquatic vibe start to dominate, and although the smell is pretty nice even at this point, it's disappointingly generic and a bit too masculine for my taste by then, and a few hours later it's entirely gone. So I think I'll leave this one behind, albeit with a sigh of regret, now that I've finished my sample.

The top notes are very fresh and citrusy, and very much remind me of some men's shower gel. The first impression is therefore not very sophisticated. Fresh for the sake of freshness. I was hoping for something more and I'm wondering when the myrtle note appears. Citrus just keeps on fading. After six hours there's almost nothing left, just a hint of the original freshness.

Beautiful myrtle leaf and blossom based scent with a soapy/fresh feeling. There is a rather prominent (perhaps too prominent) aquatic accord which dominates the majority of the scent. After awhile, I did find it to be slightly cloying. This does let up in time, allowing the subtle floral notes of rose, jasmine, lilac blossoms to reveal themselves. Lentisque contributes a resinous quality to the base, along with amber. In keeping with the quality expressed within the Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo collection, Mirto di Panarea is a solid inclusion. (145)

What a gorgeous one this is!

It is one of the freshest, most beautiful, natural smelling summer florals I have ever come across! I really like it and find it very nice!

It opens up with a beautiful sweet, fresh Lemon accord. Not sugary sweet, just the natural sweetness of the Lemon. It's coupled with a very soothing aromatic Basil note and the most wonderful rendition of sweet Myrtle flower blossom. Absolutely incredible! You can just imagine this wonderful Italian garden by the sea. I also get a hint of salty sea breeze coupled with the prominent flower blossom, including fresh Rose and Jasmine.

I highly recommend this if you want a very natural smelling, Mediterranean style floral fragrance. Acqua di Parma has really impressed me with this one. Try it if you get the chance!

Mirto di Parma is at first spritz an innovating fresh aquatic burst of fun and yummy exhilarating perfection. I was blown away when I tried this first. Now I own a bottle and enjoy it a lot. This is more a fresh summer scent or an uplifting scent for the winter. Its really energetic and unisex. The dry down of this fun scent is rather masculine or colony so to say , which doesn't bother me although I absolutely adore the beginning , its sweet fresh and on the feminine side. This is great for casual , work and play. It's an all around extremely pleasant fresh scent that brings you lots of compliments. From the Mediteranne line this remains one of my favourites along with Mandorlo

Went out for lunch today and had two compliments by girls that hugged me. The one girl is buying it she wanted all the info on it. And then she kept sniffing me throughout the lunch.

Again a revue on this perfume.
yes it is very beautiful and full of surprises.
In the first spray there is a citric-creamy scent that turns into a blossom-floral-aromatic scent. In the middle y smell the combination of Myrtle and jasmine and the salty sea scent. This last one makes it a bit smell chemical like all aquatic smells.
In the base mastique is present with junpres and amber.
yes it is wonderful and has gained a status of favorite scent for me.
You can wear it as a very elegant easy going casual unisex scent.

A citrus-burst with a HEAVENLY note of basil in the opening, this is another prime example of how Acqua di Parma can really capture the essence of the Mediterranean in it. I love the smell of basil when you touch the plant, or the taste of it over cheese and tomato on a freshly made pizza.
But like all good things, the citrus in the opening is gone in minutes and the basil follows shortly after. Those few minutes are moments you don't want to end, but alas they do. Sadly this scent doesn't last long, but the concept is really a 10/10.

Another delicious scent of Blue Mediterraneo.
Mirto involves a combination of aromatic and floral, also something herbal.
Opens with an aromatic cloud for the lemon, bergamot reconciled touch floral herbal, the myrtle plant mediterranea has that feature.
But there is a touch herbal not totally green by basil , you feel something velvety floral together, is very comfortable and cozy.
It is linear and that will tone up your base, appear fresh nuances in the heart and woody base but nothing to change this initial aroma, very tasty.

Nice...you still get the citrus notes that freshen it up but Myrtle obviously isn't my cup of tea.
The heart of this fragrance is kinda moisturiser-like or like sun screen fresh, clean but not to my taste. I don't hate it.
Had it on a couple of hours now and in the dry down it improves the myrtle settles to the back I think and it smells quite different from how it opened.

I really have to get used to this perfume. When I wore it on my wrist it smelled weird a bit synthetic. But when y spray it on your body its sensational. Very prominent is the Myrtle and its soapy reflection with the beautiful citric-bergamot sensation. within it y can discern the sea-salty scent too. It ends into a mix of wood and spice. y can experience a sunny day in the nature of the same island. It is a nice and relaxing scent.
It is quite difficult to make out when y could wear this. It is more for spring or summer. In the end the Myrtle stays dominant with in the background mastic after a medium longevity.
And in the end, yes I like it even more, because its fresh.
Again a great scent.

Out of this line, I am so happy my husband gave me mirtle di Panarea !
Starts really fresh with an almost drinkable spritz of juicy lemons , myrtle and bergamot. This start is very refreshing indeed !
Soon enough it gets deeper and as in many perfumes jumps right at the woody base. I o w I have a hard time finding peace at the jasmine and rose middle...where is it ?
The sea notes came out nice and not aquatic but like a fresh salty wind at any coast. The cedar amber jumiper base is aromatic woody and fresh !
This whole line is great but needs to be tested on skin cause I think almost all of them are unisex and if you don't like the male touch in some perfumes ...you might not like these either..
One of them is def. on the female side wich is- mandorlo di Sicilia also very nice !

Opens with strong, aromatic and fresh lemon, bergamot and intense white floral notes. It makes me think of walking through an italian citrus orchard overgrown with beautiful blooming white flowers. A few minutes on the skin allow the citrus to fade slightly revealing clear woody notes and subtle fresh green herbs, all the while the fresh white florals are loud and clear. It's like sticking your nose over a blooming myrtle flower and inhaling deeply. I've only worn it for about five minutes and for my age (early 30's man), it is quite floral and feminine albeit very uplifting, fresh and invigorating. Overall it's semi-sweet to slightly dry, the touch of amber at the base helps. No doubt more fitting for a woman; a man could easily pull this off on a hot summer day and women may just love it on him.

Wearing for the first time today, a blind buy based on the reviews and the very nice bottle. Being a fan of niche and 'interesting' scents I'm usually prepared for an awkward few minutes while a scent settles down- but not with this one. The opening was lemon, bergamot and basil- as per the notes- but the myrtle and florals took any sour edge right off from the first spritz. Once the citrus settled down (five hours and it is still faintly lemony) out came a delicious myrtle enlivened by the juniper (without being boozy, more a fresh scent- possibly as a result of being tempered by the wood notes.) From about four hours the myrtle slowly begins to transition away from a floral scent, leaving only its warm undertones (reminiscent of, but unlike musc). With the fading of the more floral notes I am left with a low silage but very noticeable skin scent of warm juniper and mastic that is constantly enlivened by bits of lemon, basil and even the ghosts of flowers wafting in and out. Strangely enough, left arm basil, right arm lemon ???
As many have noted, a very accurate scent painting of a day on the coast, morning time the floral and other volatile scents hanging in cool wet air then giving way to the sun warming up the resinous plants while off in the distance someone is perhaps getting ready a luncheon squeezing some lemons, chopping basil and lighting a small fire for a tasty grilled lunch. Thankfully they have omitted the scent of the grilling gambi.
A relaxed, daytime scent fine for work or a day off. Pleasant without being simple, moderate silage, good duration (on my skin that is a feat!) Seems appropriate for any age. Seems slightly masculine, but only in the sense that it conveys self assurance and comfort with indolent enjoyment of life.
Delightful, I expect to upgrade to the 100ml bottle quite soon.

A present. Lived for 12h+ on me. It was juniper that somebody planted all over the cliff. And it had to grow there. And there was wind from the sea, and sea salt, and the sun, so hot, way too hot... Chemical or natural. Whatever, it was nice.

This is such a wonderful summer scent.
Myrtle is a note which I feel is underused and I love is given the star treatment in this fragrance.
This is a fresh floral scent, and fresh without any aquatic notes which could dull it down. Some bergamot and cedar and thousands of little white myrtle flowers spread out across a soft bed of amber, making it effortlessly beautiful.
I feel this is maybe a little more feminine as it's more floral than you'd expect and if I were blessed to live in a sunny country I would probably wear this almost all year.
This and L'Occitane's Notre Flore Myrte (now discontinued) are as good as it gets for myrtle.

This one has some of the most natural smells I have experienced in any fragrance. It starts of with a very nice citrus note of orange and bergamot tempered with a slightly sharp and green note of myrtle. As it progresses there comes a slightly sweet smell of black current and rose with a couple of other floral notes. In the end a "just right" blend of amber, cedar and juniper is added to the mix and it seems a touch of musk. Very unisex and an amazing aroma for the summer months. Longevity is not amazing at about 4-5 hours for me, but that is acceptable for a summer fragrance. Definitely not boring as a summer scent like so many aquatics and yet there seems to be a slight sea accord in here too. This one is is not overpowering in warmer weather, just right.

When I first sprayed it on last night, the words that rose up were: Clean. Very clean. If nothing had changed, I may have dismissed this one, even with such an enjoyable opening. I'm not able to describe the further development to my own satisfaction, so I won't even try. But I just ordered the full bottle, 24 hours after my first sniff. Enough said?

Mirto is a truly lovely fragrance and definitely one of my next purchases. I starts as a herbal, fresh burst but has no harshness or overt crispness. Soon it softens to a lovely floral that still manages to keep it's cool and maintain the herbal vibe, but develops also a wonderful pink lushness with rose and blackcurrant.

Gentle and feminine without being submissive, boring or overly girlish.

So beautiful and elegant. This is what I wear when I can't decide what mood I'm in. It's so easy and effortless, especially for summertime. I wear this to work sometimes, it's perfect.

Mirto di Panarea is a beautifully balanced aromatic fragrance. Every single note is in perfect harmony--bright, alluring and uplifting.

It reminds me a lot of Hermes Un Jardin Sur Le Nil too with its herbs and dark green leafy accords. Only Mirto di Panarea isn't as hearty with these notes in opening, however both play the same tune, just in different harmony. If you like the idea of Sur Le Nil but find the vegetal notes a little too strong for you, try this fragrance... you will fall in love.

The floral notes are beautifully complemented by the soft and sunny citrus and green lilac certainly creates a welcome twist to the usual suspects. Black currant leaf makes this wonderfully earthy and gently sweet which does well to anchor the citrus. And amber just keeps the scent glowing--you can't help but feel like you've been hugged by a warm Mediterranean ray of sunshine.

Big recommend for the warmer months!

This is one of the most beautiful fragrnaces I have ever smelled. It certainly puts you at easy and would be great for a hot summers day. It evokes images of Italy, strolling by the rustics villa by the sea, with the smell of flowers captured in the breeze. This is going to be my next niche purchase and will rate it once I get a full wearing.

After wearing this for a few months in my rotation, I've finally been able to pick out the notes. My nose is tuned in to the development - when the floral notes DOMINATE. I LOVE IT!!! Myrtle, lilac and rose are the main players in this concoction. I initially thought that this would be a one-time fragrance for me. On 2nd thought.......

This is a wonderful green citrus. It's a pleasant, NATURAL scent that brings about a sense of tranquility. The sillage is pretty close to my skin and the longevity IS on the short side. But this doesn't bother me... After all, that's what the matching body cream is for. To those who complain about the longevity, spend that extra $67 and stop complaining (lol).

I recently wore this on a very humid day. Hours and hours after a healthy application (nape of the neck, pecs, forearms and shirt), this was still going strong with an impressive sillage. Longevity was about 8 hours. The larger bottle is well worth it.

This is my favourite summer fragrance, I have a big bottle (120ml) and use it only in the morning but not sparingly (as one would use a cologne). Regarded from the type of fragrance it's similar to Versace Versense.
It's a super natural smell which takes you into the beautiful sunny italian summer landscapes. Somehow I cannot make out the notes seperated, but for me this is a good sign, because everything melts harmonically into another: It's very citric fresh and aromatic in the opening, somehow reminds me of the italian sea or a pool in tuscany...weird, I know. Then it dries down to a slightly floral, slightly spicy, fresh skin scent which has a good lasting power for this fresh type of scent. It's not super feminine but somehow lovely and maybe sexy? - My boyfriend always gives me compliments about how good I smell when I wear this...

When your in the mood for a woody aromatic scent, Blue Meiterraneo Mirto di Panarea is a fragrance to consider. It is a beautiful blend of some of my favorite notes: jasmine, basil, cedar w/citrus accords. Every once in a while, usually on warmer days; the rose notes will be present.

This one and Fico always brings a smile to may face. I agree with rebella it is great for a casual day or work.

Nice, fresh and easy fragrance for summer. Green, citrus and a hint of black currant that makes it just a little bit sweet and spicy.

A pleasant unisex fragrance, nice for casual wear and when you just want a relaxing and energetic perfume.
