Top notes of Colonia Leather Eau de Cologne Concentrée provide luminous scents of Brazilian orange combined with Sicilian lime. The heart adds rose and petit grain from Paraguay followed by leather, Atlas cedar and guaiac wood from Paraguay.
The fragrance is available in a characteristic flacon available as 100ml Eau de Cologne Concentree.

A very feminine, simple and linear fragrance. You would be better served by a can of Impulse.
It smells like you're walking between the handbags and perfume counter in a department store.
Initial application gives white musk type flowery notes, citrus and leather. This is how it stays until the leather and citrus disappears a couple of hours later leaving only the flowery skin scent.
Uncomplicated, uninspiring and generic. I don't understand any comparisons to Colonia Intensa Oud as they are completely different animals.
Hard to say anything positive about this except the leather smells realistic whilst it lasts.
I don't want my woman to smell like this and I definitely do not want to smell like this.
One time at the movies some years ago, I had to lean against my mother. She thought it was that I was fond of her, but the lady next to me had a horrible, horrible scent. Colonia Leather takes me back to that same spot. I even wore it to the cinema once to see if I could shake off my demons, but no. Awful.
On a brighter note, the movies were really good!
leather, guaiac wood and few lime and..
One of the best leather fragrances
leather scent is very natural(same bag leather)
I think it is better than Tuscan Leather Tom ford.
i prefer it to lover leathers..
The longevity is well
The projection is good
This product is appropriate for cold weather.
It is a good perfume for males.
It really smells awesome.

With a flirty blink I was given this as a sample in the summer of 2014 by a nice girl at a nice warehouse in Stockholm. At that time we did not have the Tom Ford line in Sweden, so I could not compare it with TL then.
I knew it was rather expensive so I saved it for a day music festival here in Sweden. I barbered my hair to perfection, dressed up with a ironed shirt, shiny shoes, jeans, a leather biker jacket and topped it off with the sample I got. At first spray the leather and fresh citrus notes(famous for ADP) are prominent. I felt like James Bond.
After some hours of good music, the deeper notes of rose/raspberry and sweet cedar/guaiac woods came out. Furthermore, I got more wasted.
When I woke up the next day my hair was as messy as my head, kebab sauce were dried in, in a trail down my pants to my shoes, BUT my shirt still smelled awesome! In other words, it has great longevity and the projection is perfect.
When they started with Tom ford in Sweden I compared the two, and found ADP more versatile and easier to use all year around. ADP has the fresh leather/lime and a rose/raspberry/sweet wood dry down while Tom Ford has its ashtray leather with raspberry/TF-spice-DNA dry down. I ended up buying this one.
1. I was relieved to find it dissimilar to Tuscan Leather (maybe after 4 hrs, or on paper).
2. I don't know if I can call this "citrus" at any point; it's like a lemon/lime without the zesty freshness nor the fruity sweetness, while not so bitter either... What is that?
3. It's actually quite smokey! Based on the notes listed I can only assume it's the guaiac wood, since there's no tobacco or incense.
Overall it's pretty well rounded; no sharp edge but not boring, easy to wear in most occasions, masculine and even dark and sexy (yet slightly refreshing); better than Tuscan Leather and its clones
I really was prepared to love, and at least like this and TF's 'leather' fragrance. I found both overrated, to say the very least. This is but a fruitier version of the TF. I love the smell of leather, all varieties of hides, and that's why I blind bought these. I appears lots of folks like these, but I wouldn't ever call these leather. I'm fetishy about leather, religious even. This stuff is candy store. Shalimar is more rugged than this fluid.
Colonia Leather is the second chronologically of the Acqua di Parma concentree line, and the second I've tried, and is a very strong leather entry in the limited world of leather fragrances that I've sampled.
Comparisons to Tom Ford Tuscan Leather are more than appropriate, given the pairing of a traditional leather smell and the Colonia smell of citrus (I even get some neroli, though it is not listed in the note breakdown).
Colonia Leather is more citrus, Tuscan Leather is more of a varied fruity smell (i.e. berries), but Colonia Leather still has some sweetness of its own. It's worth to try both to compare, though admittedly, Colonia Leather is about half the price ($166 for 100ml on FragranceNet vs. about $300 for 100ml TL through most retail). Surely that comes down to price.
I'd argue that Colonia Leather might be redundant enough with Coach Leatherware No. 3, which is now discontinued but I managed to locate a couple of months ago, as even Leatherware No. 3 is a similar essential expression of leather with some citrus and woody aspects.
Performance-wise, it's certainly stronger than most Acqua di Parma offerings, both from the Colonia and Blu lines, and is probably the strongest I've tried in terms of both projection and longevity, on par with Colonia Ambra (I still need to try Colonia Oud). However, Colonia Leather isn't as strong as Tuscan Leather, and in that respect is a little easier to wear on a year-round basis.
Very strong, versatile leather fragrance. Highly and frequently wearable but also refined enough to dress up and keep as a fragrance for special occasions. I highly recommend trying this out, as despite lacking the Tuscan Leather reputation, I imagine that many will find this better.
8 out 10
This is maybe the best leather based fragrance that you can wear in the summer. A very authentic leather blended to perfection with citrus.
A masterpiece in my opinion.
Smells incredibly like real quality leather. It is warm and elegant.
This is everything I was looking for in tuscan leather. It is just a stunningly beautiful fragrance.
I get this beautiful, smooth leather handbag at the opening. Whereas this is smooth and creamy, tuscan leather is harsh and brash! Not saying I dislike TL, i just find it too abrasive. This is softened by a citrus blend that takes it down a path that differs completely from Tuscan leather.
Then, the most interesting thing happens with this frag. When it starts to dry down I get his bubblegum feel to it? I have heard of a fragrance called bubblegum chic, I used to go wtf? Who would make a bubblegum fragrance and call it luxury?
Well this perfume's drydown makes me understand that bubblegum accord in a truly luxurious way! it is bizarre but rather beautiful! This is a masterpiece!
10/10 terrific stuff!
ADP Colonia Leather is a clean, soft leather. Mostly Citrus and leather notes with Guaiac wood. Projection is a bit on the softer side but then ADP frags arent meant for Montale type projection. Longevity is around the 5-6 hour mark on me which is fine since I mostly use this for formal events in the night. Goes great with a dark suit and tie. Slightly on the expensive side on a price to performance ratio but worth it in my book. You need a lighter leather like this in your wardrobe for the days and occasions when Tuscan leather, or La Yuqawam might be too heavy. Wonderful leather fragrance. recommended. 8.5/10
If you like clean leather ....this is astonishing! I always wondered what some members meant when they referred to a fragrance as clean leather.Get your nose on this stuff, you will understand. For clean leather lovers, this is it!
Personally though, as much as am in awe of this stuff, I think i prefer the smoky somewhat animalic pungency of especially La yuqawam and maybe T.F Tuskan leather.
This would definitely satisfy the gentleman in me, every now and then.I like the opening better than the dry down.
Without the need to waste any more words..simply put
MASTERPIECE!!!
Shout out to edge42...thank you mate :)
One of the realest leather accords out there.. Still has the fresh DNA by which AdP is known for and because of this Colonia Leather is much easier to wear.. Performance is awesome! Longevity, projection and sillage are above average! A real keeper!
Simple.......if you like the genre that follows the Tom Ford Tuscan Leather vein you won't be
Disappointed. This stuff smells phenomenal and projects non stop for hours. Great juice. ADP salute!
Anyone else agree the next should be Acqua di Parma Colonia Sandalwood??
(THIS REVIEW WAS PENNED A WHILE AGO WHEN THIS CAME OUT.)
I've Been waiting to try this for ages! Took so long for stores to get it that I actually stopped looking and forgot about it to an extent.
The reason I was anticipating this so much was due to my love of leather fragrances and my hope that this would be the holy grail...and is it?
Well, sort of? It is and it isn't...
Reason being the opening was stunning, really great, rich, opulent almost dark, slightly smoky leather. When I say 'leather' I do mean an accurate and stunning leather note.
So far so good you might think and you'd be right it's worthy of praise but then starts to change into familiar territory.
By this I'm talking TF Tuscan leather and Clive Christian C complete with raspberry note and all...again not a criticism, C is one of my absolute favourite fragrances and I've extensively tested Tuscan leather (which I controversially said is not as good) so I like to think I know what I'm talking about here.
In fact I think this is less complex than C more toward Tuscan leather but still very complex and different to both in the most subtle way. It tightropes between smelling like an accurate leather, maybe even a hint of citrus, something slightly more soapy and cleaner then back to CC C/TF TL.
Now I have Oud concentree and that has epic longevity and obnoxious silage on my skin, almost to the point of it being too much even for me to wear and I was expecting the same from this juice.
Don't get me wrong here the performance of this juice is very good and way, way up there. Silage and trail are pretty massive for the first few hours but doesn't quite have the godlike longevity status of Clive Christian C....nor is it as heady and complex, magical or even 'harsh' for want of a better word.
Oh man...this is one of those scents that hits my olfactory system just right and renders me stupid with pleasure; the pleasure I derive from this scent feels almost criminal. That's my subjective experience. More objectively, this stuff smells like leather, delivered to the nose with a texture that's somehow both tart and velvety. It shares a lot of similarities to Tuscan Leather, but lacks TL's histrionics. TL smells really, really good; Colonia Leather makes me rapturous and weak in the knees. I'll certainly buy a bottle when I finish school. I just wish it came in 50ml instead of only in giant bottles.
Another fine example of the house.
Yes has similarities to Tuscan but here is drier and citrus, the lemon-lime combo, brings me to this, is remarkable and permeates every stage.
First the opening to the heart when it encounters the rose and its bitter aspect stands out even more, dry this citrus accord and creates a light floral bittersweet tone, and going to the base when it meets the leather, here a more suede than leather. Maybe something like a white leathe, perhaps the Guaiac do it also acts as suede.
A beautiful alternative to leather, if you do not have to buy the Tom Ford.
Rating: 8,5/10
Pure leather ecstasy. You can sit in it like a comfortable and luxurious chair. You can wear it like a supple and elegant glove. You can find woody depths and citrusy peaks. You can't wear it just once. Perfect, perfect perfection. Glorious. Stopped me in my tracks and made me grab the shelf to keep my balance.
I kinda like this. It takes a more literal approach to leather as opposed to other leather offerings. It straight up smells like leather. No difference in smell to this and a leather jacket. But I don't like the drydown. It starts to smell like dubble bubble. Strikingly similar to 1 Million; only after an hour or so.
This is Sexy ! Once its settled, leather notes take over and work the magic. Its not too heavy or cloying. Projection is just fine,( About 2 meter on my skin). Subtle, refined and rich.
Yes, it's comparable to Tuscan Leather, however, the leather presented here has that unmistakable citrus background of all the AdP fragrances.
I prefer the class and timelessness of this one To TL.
Many have compared this is TFs Tuscan Leather. Both are quite different. This is actually wearable in both the heat and cool weather whilst Tuscan Leather is too intense to pull off in any warm climates imho.
Plus Tuscan Leather is predominantly berry leather whilst this is more of a gentle leather with circus on the opening and then solely leather by the dry down.
I prefer it to Tuscan Leather. Silliage is above average and longevity is about 8 hrs on my skin.
Tried this today at a small profumeria in Montalcino. The Guaiac wood is the most prominent note to me, the leather comes in at the dry down but this is a very resinous dark wood with leather in the back. I prefer Tuscan Leather more for a leather scent. The problem is the ash tray smell as people have been describing, it's quite unsavory. I'll pass.
This is a gorgeous, authentic leather scent and a damn clever thing apart from one minor annoyance. As someone else has mentioned here, there comes a point when you notice the unmistakable note of ashtray and once you smell it, it won't go away! However, I found that layering a light spritz of Versace's Oud Noir seems to soften that ashtray while adding a little oriental mystique. A very expensive but divinely hedonistic combo!
Beautiful!
But tricky sillage. I find that it stays VERY close to the skin in cooler temperatures. When my skin warms up, the scent comes back. A bit softer than I'd like it to be.
Some people have compared this to Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather, and I can see why. There is definitely a similarity here, but a little toned down. I also find it sharing similarities with La Yuqawam Homme. But Colonia Leather is on a slightly higher level. Just a bit more character and certainly a MUCH finer presentation. Colonia Leather comes in an exquisite satin lined box with faux hinged lid, and the bottle itself exudes luxury. More so than Tom Ford, IMHO.
I'm not in a hurry to buy a full bottle of this, though. I'll have to live with it for a while longer, but for the time being Yuqawam Homme has enough of the same accord to keep me satisfied.
This is just a beautiful elegant modern pure smoky leather all the way through.
If you like "TF Tuscan Leather" or "Montale Aoud Leather", personally I believe this is much better version of them!
They all do have the same type of leather but something that I truly love about this fragrance is that the leather note here is always the domination note.
In "TF Tuscan Leather" we have a strong fruity scent of raspberry and in the mid a strong sweet floral scent of saffron that mutes the leather note and I don't like that! but here in this fragrance that huge blast of smoky leather note on top stays up in front all the way through and only in the base we get small dose of slightly sweet and fresh rose completely in the background.
Projection is really good and longevity is more that 8 hours on my skin.
The best of this genre of leather.
This is a very nice leather. I like it more than TL because it is definitely more wearable. Although I have heard people comment on this being a year round scent I would just stick to fall/winter/ and spring nights. The leather is very dominant as I feel a lot get citrus dominance in the opening. All around a nice buy for me and I will definitely be using this guy for a long time.
Projection 4-5 hours
Longevity 10+
Scent 8.5
This fragrance I give a 9/10.
Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather is one of my favorite scents. It is listed as a unisex fragrance, but personally I find it very masculine. Colonia Leather, to me, is like a unisex Tuscan Leather. It has that rich and pure leather smell that Tuscan Leather has, but the mandarin and rose really add a softness that I think makes this more appealing to more people, where Tuscan Leather seems more like a love it or hate it kind of fragrance. It also gives it a more unisex touch. I love this scent.
Also, I didn't think I could wear a rich leather scent on a hot day, but this worked beautifully. The citrus adds a freshness to it that also makes it kind of a more versatile Tuscan Leather.
I decided to try Acqua de Parma leather....this juice is UNBELIEVABLY all leather. I haven't come across a frag where leather is as realistic as this one is. After spraying it on my skin I feel like I was in stable all day with that deep animalistic quality all over me. The woodsy base of guaiac gives this juice depth which is untouchable making it ABSOLUTELY SEXY.
Longevity and Silage is excellent lasting over 8hrs...you can pick up the aroma about 2ft away.
Finally thoughts,
I've tried several different version of leather frag's. The top two which I enjoy is either Tom Ford or Acqua de Parma leather. If you want a real attractive leathery blend this juice is worth it. Perfect during the fall/winter months and going into early spring. Adjective which describes this fragrance is Sexy, Sophisticated, Elegant and Masterpiece. 9.5/10.....I recommend this juice without a doubt!
A potent leather scent with just a hint of that Acqua di Parma citrus DNA working in the background. I like it, especially during cold weather, but I'm not into leather scents enough to buy a full bottle. Lasts 12+ hours on my skin.
Eau de Cologne Concentree? EDT? Or maybe lasting power of a parfum but projection and silliage of a cologne?
Marketing ploy? yeah probably the latter.
Anyways the scent.
Since I've smelt and worn TL I've been on a quest to find a similar scent without the raspberry note of TL, it ruins it for me. My wife said it best about TL "It's like I went out for the night with a man and got so hammered that I came home with a woman"
So this was next on my list. It is very nice, it's the exact same leather as TL but fresher and not so heavy. This can be worn year round easily. But as this dries down something is still unsettling to me. It might be the rose, something is giving me a "first Aid Kit" type of smell in there.
Shit.
While I like this better than TL for sure, it's still not my luxury leather scent. On to Montale aoud leather next.
Fingers crossed.
Longevity is about 6 to 7
projection is about 7 too
and scent is an 8
WOW.i blind purchased this as I was after a good leather and wood fragrance.im glad I purchased it.its just an explosion of nice fragrances and it's one of those Purfumes that you can smell every note.the smell reminds me of a 1960's Italian hotel room.for a cologne it last's a very long time and projection was also surprisingly good for a cologne.if your into leather and wood fragrence's don't pass this up.
The very best leather ı have ever smell it is little bit expensive but trust me it is amazing ı thınk acqua di parma luxery parfums like oud and leather are very best science
The first couple of hours all I get is a not-very-masculine sweet floral, but when it's properly dry the leather and wood come through and this becomes positively intoxicating. As others have suggested, if you don't like this at the first sniff: stay with it! It's lovely. I bought this together with the AdP Colonia Oud, which will be my fragrance for the remainder of the winter, but I'll return to Leather in the springtime. Looking forward to it!
Edit: I don't know what the actual concentration of fragrance oils is, but I think the "eau de cologne" label, even with the "concentree" designation, is a bit of a misnomer. This is powerful stuff, and in my experience it lasts forever.
The notes that Fragrantica mentioned aren't really all the notes in this fragrance.
I do own a tester bottle and notes are listed behind of the bottle. Let me give everybody the actual note breakdown in this fragrance.
Fragrance Family: Aromatic Leathery
Top Note: Brazil Orange Oil, Lemon from Sicily, Raspberry Accord
Heart Note: Hungry Red Thyme Oil, Honeysuckle Accord, Paraguay Petitgrain Oil, Rose Accord.
Base Note: Leather Accord, Morocco Atlas Cedarwood Oil, Paraguay Guaiac Oil.
My honest review:
This is very nice fragrance first of all. Opens up with some citrus, sweet citrus that almost gives you fruity feeling. Leather opens up at the first spray but It gave me a suede scent feeling and I noticed that it is because of the citrus. Citrus made it feel like suede. After 10 minutes, citrus gone away and leather became more dirty as I like. This fragrance carries Raspberries as the Tuscan Leather does but I can feel the raspberry more in this one comparing the Tuscan Leather. Following overs, it doesn't chance alot and keeps this fruity leather for 10 hours. Longevity is great but projection is bad, After 2 hours it gets close to skin. But this factor makes this fragrance more versatile. Dark fragrances like this can not be worn all the time but because of it is close to skin, it is great for every time wear.
Comparing to Tuscan leather and there are many more fragrances that is similar to it. They can be compared by longevity and projection maybe even price point. This is a good one at the price point of $220 retail. The quality you get is almost the same as Tuscan Leather. You spent more for TL and get 50ml comparing to here 100ml.
This is my opinion after all. This is a buy for me. All the way...
To me it is very surprising that nobody mentioned a very pronounced honey note.
Oh you just have to love the luxurious leather. Yummo and very classy.
A Lighter and slightly sweet version of Tuscan Leather, the only difference is the citrus top and a cheap candy sweetness remaining present till the end . In other words a watered down copy of TL. I am not a huge fan of TL but I would prefer TL over it every time if I want to smell like that.
Colonia Leather - Chic Fresh leather
Having tried their colonia oud and loved it, I had good expectations from colonia leather. And Acqua di Parma surely did not disappoint.
What I love about this frag is that they've combined the elegance of the colonia dna with the ruggedness of leather.
This is the sort of leather I like - both fresh and dark, with an overall softness yet being full bodied in its nature.
It is utterly chic and smooth in it's approach and represents the class of ADP.
Fresh Citrus-y opening with a floral leather behind it. Screams quality from the first sniff. It feels quite airy and transparent at first, which then becomes a little heavier with the leather creeping up. It feels like a wet fresh leather, with some woody undertone - the overall result is truly splendid. The elegant leather then takes centre-stage and the little florals linger on in the background.. this is what remains till the end.
If you ask me, I love it's overall structure.. neither too harsh nor too soft, very sophisticated and alluring in it's demeanour. I also get reminded of the core of colonia intensa (their colonia ones) which is what supports the overall notes.
Great performance, around 10 hours with 3 sprays.. a nice scent bubble around you without being too heavy. This isn't as beastly as the colonia oud, but it packs a good punch in itself. In terms of versatility, one can wear this all year round, preferably so during spring and autumn.
Marvelous creation ADP! Can't wait for the next release in this series.
In the same vein of the Oud, Acqua di Parma has created a fresh leather. While it might sound unusual pairing leather with citruses, the result is very nice.
In the opening I get a minty accord that goes with the citruses. The leather is there, shy at the first spray, but becoming stronger and stronger by the minute, and the overall feeling is of an airy and bright leather. Like how they did with the oud, the leather is clean, not stinky. The end of the fragrance brings the woods to the surface and, in the AdP style, this is another classy gentleman's colonia.
9/10
In my opinion this scent are the most intersting introduced in 2014.Acqua di parma & Guerlain produced all this years high quality fragrances.I love this scent for winter cold days.
Leather true, aged! A very unique composition where the the leather is the main piece having background the guaiac wood and citrus sweetened by a soft rose. No "sharp edges", "round", well balanced, elegant and serious. So it ADP is one of my favorite houses!
Wou wou great fragrance From ACqua di Parma
Scent 10/10
Longevity 10/10
Projection 10/10
Versatility 10/10 all year around not prob at all

Sampled this few days ago, But it Is still impressed in My mind. Oh My God this fragrance Is awsome, luxurious And elegant. The first impression I got was like: oh gosh this Is a leather old school fragrance, Not for me. But The drydown, in wich Roses rises, Is amazing And suitable for younger man. I think it Is one of The Best fragrance I've ever smell. Totally in love with this fragrance. Good projection And sillage! It's only a bit expensive (160€/100ml)
This one is just: Wow!
It's very close to the Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, yet less smokey and less heavy. It's got that Acqua Di Parma twist of fresh citrus - so we basically get a leather scent for the summer! It doesn't really surprise me that it's that good - ADP are awesome with the Colonia twists. PS, who ever read this should give a try to the ADP Colonia Oud (notice: not the Intensa Oud) - incredible!
Sampled this today , and all I can say is- wow. On me, this is nothing like Tuscan Leather. Think of it this way: ADP Leather smells like the interior of a new Jaguar... Clean beautiful leather. TF TL smells like the leather chairs in an old bar. I own TL and the ADP is a buy for me. Try it.
I absolutely LOVE this one.
I have TF Tuscan Leather and received this as a sample at my local Holt Renfrew to try. Honestly, I find the 2 almost identical, at least on my skin with the ADP just a little less sweet/raspberry than the TF. For me, they're just too similar to justify a purchase of the ADP as mush as I'm a fan of this house.
I've had my sights set on this gem for a while now after I tried it the first time and fell in love with it. Finally got the 3.4 oz bottle today and this is truly stunning. To me there's a hint of cinnamon in the background. Quite regal. JG 081614
This needs more reviews.
Absolutely Beautiful, Pure Italian Freshness And Flawless Leathery Warmth & Texture.
Hype This Up!
Hmm....a bit disappointed here. I love AdP Oud and Essenza, but the Colonia Leather has an off 'note' to me. Something smells artificial or strange and doesn't really fit in, I feel, in the otherwise quite good leather fragrance. I was pretty sure I was going to like it based on reviews, but in the end one needs to smell it.
My favourite leathers continue to be Bel Ami, Tuscan Leather and Knize Gold.
Even if you don't want to compare, the leather note in this one is pretty close with tuscan leather, but all the other notes are faraway with it.
The leather here is nice, the fragrance clean, and the signature is complete aqua di parma.
Great fragrance really.
This is a very nice leather fragrance!! It has a bold creamy rich deep leather note supported by sparkling citrus all on a base of smokey guaiac wood and birch. The cedar, petit grain, cedarwood, and even raspberry aren't as prominent. However, I do smell some sweetness which is probably due to the raspberry but not a raspberry like in individuel or even tuscan leather. It is a very strong fragrance so spray lightly. Maybe just one or two sprays maybe to the chest or wrists. This may get cloying in warmer weather but on a cooler day in fall or winter (Maybe early spring) and this will be marvelous!!! It is warm and comforting while still be upbeat and citric enough to maintain a versatile scent. This smells very rich, upperclass, and expensive so wear this to a special event/occasion or just around the house to feel great!! I love ADP and I am looking to pick this up sometime hopefully in the future when I have enough $$$$ to buy because this is expensive at $210. A wonderful fall/winter fragrance from ADP that continues their tradition of authentic smelling classic perfume.
Edit: I still smelled this when i woke up the next morning!! Over 12 hours it was still noticeable!! For an EDC that is so impressive! I got such an amazing dry down that I just wanted to burry my face in my wrist at night!!
This is the official list of notes:
Sicilian Lemon, Italian Orange, Raspberry, Honeysuckle, Petit Grain, Rose, Leather, Cedarwood, Birchwood, Gaiac Wood, Labdaum
This is just simply a superb fragrance. At first the "leatheriness" seemed -way- too overwhelming for me, but after a while, especially as a huge AdP fan, my mind turned into just "I want one, badly". But even the smaller bottle is 160 euros!! (in Italy) Granted, the Tom Ford is even more expensive.
"Lovers of Tuscan Leather will be enamored by this one."
Well... not quite. I vastly prefer Tuscan Leather, which smells like sheer luxury to me. This is a good leather scent - make no mistake - but it doesn't have the amazing WOW factor that TL and, to a somewhat lesser extent, Montale Aoud Leather have. Instant Mmmmmmm.
This is a very good leather scent, but I'd rather have a bottle of Knize Ten, the Montale or, best of all, TL.
Longevity and silage are better with TL, too.
As a premise, my first loves in my fragrance journey are Colonial Intense Oud cologne concentree (now known simply as Colonial Oud) and Tuscan Leather..
So I expected much from Colonia Leather.
It is a great quality fragrance, which reflects the sheer mastery of the perfumer, which I understand is the great François Demarchy.
As a leather focused fragrance, I have seen comparisons between Colonia Leather with Tuscan Leather - on the sub-genre of leathers, it certainly sits closer to Tuscan Leather (or Golden Boy, Charles Street) than say a) Cuir de Russie/ Cuir Cannage.; or (b) Cuir by Carner Barcelona.
However, I beg to disagree that it is simply like Tuscan Leather but switching out the delicious raspberry for citrus. The effect of this goes further as it creates a very clean fresh laundry accord, which is something I never thought possible with leather notes. A most pleasant surprise!
Longevity and Sillage are both great!
FBW for me, but it doesn't replace my first loves as it takes much more to displace the emotional experience of my first Wow scent and my first Wow-Leather scent!
Potent leather perfume with the acqua di parma colonia (DNA)infusion, the citrus balances out the fragrance nicely,it has reasonable longevity and sillage on me around 6 hours before fading into a leather only smell, very mature and masculine,I won't compare this scent to any other brand out there,it is what it is,one serious leather scented masterpiece.
A refined, classy, leather masterpiece!
Leather jacket! Strong on paper and i didnt like so didnt test on skin.
If you love leather then a must try.
This is a true leather masterpiece! Be ready though because it is a monster in a bottle, but in a good way, a very good way. The sillage is somewhat muted, much more than I thought at first. In the opening I do not get any citrus whatsoever and I have no idea why this has been put in the Citrus Aromatic group--it is pure leather and that's all there is to it. The animalic factor is beyond description, powerful yet refined. This fragrance is amazing. Not the type for a blind buy though. The opening spray and scent can hit you like a Mack truck but the dry down is utterly elegant.
Oh, it's a beauty alright. Mr. Ford, the gauntlet has been thrown. Lovers of Tuscan Leather will be enamored by this one. It's available in both 100ml AND 180ml Eau de Cologne Concentrée (which is basically an Eau de Parfum.)
One of the best leather fragrances i have ever had the pleasure of owning .Simply said what a masterpiece..
Actually prefer this to the Oud, which is surprising since I love the Oud. I am completely impressed with this brand's concentrated colognes.
I know before I make this statement that there will be a few upset people on this blog. Here goes, in my honest opinion this is one notch above TF's Tuscan Leather. Sorry but this is one serious leather masterpiece, loving it!
Oh wow leather! I can't wait to try this as the Oud one is unusual and very nice.
