Candide Aftelier for women and men

One thing you pick up on, and quickly, after you've sniffed a few hundred fragrances is to discern when one was made by the hands of an adept professional. Price has absolutely nothing to do with this, as I've smelled disasters in all price ranges.

Aftel is no amateur, as Candide quickly shows. So often (much, much too often) citrus heavy fragrances are screeching drag queens. I like how candide quickly settles into something more refined. It's very well blended and smooth, and indeed, a perfect choice for a hot day.

Candide is exquisite. I was in a rotten mood today and sorting through my samples box, looking for a little pick-me-up. I got this one awhile ago and remembered liking it but hadn't thought about it in awhile. I dabbed a little on my wrists, and oh! So beautiful, and with big sillage. The happy citrus notes are an instant mood-lifter, but it's the gorgeous high-quality jasmine that is the star of this show. I love a good jasmine scent, and this is one of the prettiest I've encountered in awhile. If you find natural jasmine too indolic, you won't have that problem here. The juicy citrus scents and frankincense that are wrapped around this one completely trim off the sharp edges.

Candide is smooth, happy, uplifting, surprisingly complex for having so few ingredients, and a joy to wear. Like all natural perfumes, its beauty is fleeting. I got about 3 hours of wear out of it, but this scent is much more about the quality as you wear it, rather than the quantity of minutes on your skin. A must-try for all natural perfume fans and jasmine lovers.

I like this perfume, it beautifully changes on my skin and that makes hard to describe it... It quite strange, but first I smell very comforting incense more intensively than floral heart. The composition is tender soft, with a hint of gourmand appeal, the jasmine comes to the center after citruses and incense, I love it.
