Haute Claire ("high and bright") is named after the legendary sword of the 12th century French literature. The fragrance belongs to the floral-green group, described as both crisp and delicate, refreshing and warm.
"The fresh edgy greenness of galbanum is offset by the creamy floral of ylang-ylang edged with honeysuckle. The green and floral notes harmonize in perfect pitch, with neither dominating the other. A warm base of vetiver and vanilla provides a soft finish of sweet grass.”
Top: galbanum, Mexican lime, wild sweet orange, ylang ylang. Heart: honeysuckle, ylang ylang, clary sage. Base: vetiver, vanilla.

Haute Claire is a bright brainchild, a slick juxtaposition of galbanum and ylang-ylang, where the former’s green sharpness is smoothed by a sultry and fiery blooming of the latter.
The arc of suspense rests on verdancy, starting out as bright and green, with a hint of lime. Maintaining brightness, the fragrance then moves on to centre on balsamic notes, ranging from voluptuous sweetening of ylang to earthy-woodiness of the gum resin and sage. The pas de deux closes with a combination of vetiver and almost spicy vanilla, reinforcing the green characteristic as well as the mellow allure in a soft drydown.
Haute Claire stays close to my skin and has good longevity, which is quite remarkable for a natural perfume.
