i have about 20 colognes, and i must say, this one is my all time favorite, that stands out. each time i wear it i always get compliments. there is something different and unique about this! very nice smell that lasts all day. got a classical scent to it, with some modernity mixed in it. and i love the bottle! looks like a cigarete packet. oh, and that cap. i just love to hold the cap, and feel it, and love to put it back on the bottle... definately my favorite.
A very smooth, mellow woody fragrance. Its powdery yet masculine nature makes this scent quite romantic and interesting. It has a sweet floral vibe that creates a relaxing mood slightly reminiscent of Versace Dreamer, but softer.
I keep coming back to this shit, man....there is just something about it that is so vastly different from most of the frags that Ive used in my life. I wear Minotaure for special occasions and to events where friends/family, know me to wear it all the time. But as of late, Ive been wearing this Dunhill frag, jsut about everywhere.
I was hangin out with my BF's best friend, and he brought a good lady friend of his...she was excited and curious about what I was 'wearing'...she took a whiff, and she said, "mmmmmm, so subtle...very nice".
I usually dont agree with this notion that younger men cant or shouldnt wear frags like this, that tend to be worn by older/more mature men...but I kinda agree where this cologne is concerned.
I just dont believe that its a younger guys' frag..it reaks of maturity and sophistication. And I dont really consider myself all that sophisticated...but I sure feel that way when I wear this...lol
And again, I LOVE the little click that you hear when you close the cap on the bottle. It sounds like a lock.
...I also LOVE how the cap clicks shut when you put the cap back on. That little click almost makes me feel like Im securing someting very special. It sounds like a lock, when it clicks....very chic.
As far a I remember, on me, this one started very soapy and clean, then it moved into a floral but masculine sophisticated middle, and ended with a woody/leather soft accord. It's been a long time, but that is how I remember it. Actually, I liked it a lot. Need to buy a new bottle and come back for a more modern review!.
too strong and stinky. this perfume has the most samples available; i get samples at the stores and i get them mailed to me (when i order female perfumes) why? no need for that. i haven't changed my mind on this one in the past 10 years.

a feminine, leathery, soapy disaster...
blah!
no thanks...
For some reason, this fragrance reminds me of a sophisticated man wearing a high class suit, sitting back at a cigar bar puffing away at his cigar and enjoying a nice glass of cognac. Not that this cologne is heavy or smoky, it just has that effect on me. Its actually a light fragrance starting heavy with the lemon and rose notes. Drydown is very nice with the light musk and sandalwood. For a cheapie, this is definately a well done scent in my opinion. This fragrance makes me want to test more from the Dunhill line.
Great smell, according to me. It is a scent that has to be liked though. Longevity is great. Feels sophisticated throughout the time it stays on you
This perfume is luxury sexy and classic . Sweet flower a bit leather and vetiver scent. Quite nice very manly good longevity 5 hrs on me. Suitable for office wear and good work in cool weather more than hot . The best one from Alfred Dunhill. Try it
how on earth a fragrance called AB Spirit By a cheap company Named Lomani has an exact scent with Dunhill Brown???????????
Little sweet, nice woody floral. Stays too close to skin. You might not like it first, find it boring but after a while you will notice that it is kinda unique. Nice combination of the notes, masterly blended, none of them dominates the fragrance. I can say that it is very hard to hate this one, it is a very safe wear.
I smelled this last night on a girlfriend after she sprayed it on at a guy friends house and immediately assumed it was a unisex fragrance... Within a half hour of leaving his house 2 WOMEN asked wut fragrance she was wearing!!! This one comes across as very soft, sensual and warm and I may invest in a bottle 4 myself lol...
First sniff and I loved it...
Completely agree with Scentology, there's nothing to it. It starts powdery and stays powdery. It's not horrible though, its just boring.
This is my favorite perfume. There won't be any perfume smell like this.A truly masterpiece
the most refined fragrance ever, classic and sexy without being overpowering. Top notes starts with lavender and hints of lemon then passes tenderly through its mid stages with softness of orris roots then settles into a masculine base of sensual leather and tonka bean.
Ok I'm biased against some perfume houses, Dunhill included, but I got this as a gift, and the first sniff marked my utter hatrd to this stuff. Yes it's warm.. and heavy.. and plain unbearable!!! As for the notes, I detect nothing but amber and cedar from beginning to end, with perhaps a hint of carnation. Took the first chance and gave it as a gift to my cousin...
Hi.
In my opinion the best word to describe DUNHILL is HOT.i would'nt say it is unique but definitely is a Laudable cologne.Warm,Charming,Woody and Deep scent.
This is different from most of ALFRED DUNHILL fragrances, popular with a nice style. Not an everyday fragrances but when you are in a right mood you absolutely Love it.
DUNHILL is Top Class fragrance for a Top Class man.it is appropriate for cold weather.Good sillage and Longevity was acceptable for me.Anyway in a ROMANTIC night,This is the fragrance for you but certainly to test before buying.
7/10
Very classy, refined, distinguished and masculine. It's spicy, woody and floral with a good sillage - sort of captures your attention. It has loads of character. This has been expertly blended in my opinion! The heavy bottle is beautiful. This is one of my very favourite scents for men
Warm, spicy, comforting, distinguished & deep; just a few words that spring to mind.
To me the sillage & longevity are pretty good. It lasts a good 6 hours or more on me.
The perfect scent for everyday use; although I suggest that it would also do very nicely at a formal black tie function. I really love this one from Dunhill.
I believe we can't judge about a perfume in the first test. at the first time i didn't like it. but i bought it with several another perfumes. i compared them with each other in several days.
finally i fallen in love with this one.
It has exellent long last.
it smells kinda like baby wipes
but its yummy
this is such a mind-boggling scent. i can pick up the geranium note easily though. very pleasant
Again this is another horrid fragrance by the English House after the loathesome red Desire..Opens too powdery and stays linear throughout except for a cedar trail after a while. I received it as a gift from a dear friend but, what the heck, i'll pass it to another...there are 200 other oriental far better scents...
I did´n like this scent on me, it´s too dry and woody. The bottle is very interesting.
J'Accuse:Whatever they say at the perfume stores this IS NOT Dunhill Classic relaunched. Smells different kinda muskier and creamier now.I stick blindfolded to the original.
Interesting fragrance and very unique for me. Its soft and dry, hard to describe. Almost like chocolate with some peppery and oily thing.
this is a wonderfully put together fragrance, soft and beautiful, and LOVELY
it really nice smell, very "delicious"!!!
but is it can last long?
from the look, i think i will go for Duhill Pure, but for the scent i will go for Dunhill (men).
Ohh this is sooo sexy. Very classy fragrance, i adore the new Dunhill BLACK which is very sexy too.
i loved that perfume, a mixed feeling of woody, clean, romantic, Arabic and even intimate like smell with a dash of Amber. to me it feels more like a summer breeze, it reminds me of my golden days as a lawyer.
the best dunhill ever made that perfume is gonna drive me crazy i adore it when my fiance wear it i feel him a very expensive man its like a diamond really well done alfred dunhill
Sexy without being obvious, this aromatic, woody, amber scent is the perfect accessory. You will get noticed wearing this.
