The word " Attar "comes from the Urdu language and means" Fragrance Divine ", a definition which stresses the power of the magician in his wake. Formerly took the name of "Ittar" which in Arabic means "Heavenly Fragrance". According to legend, the birth of ' Attar is due to an accidental event. One day, the Persian Queen Nour-Dijhan, walking among the streams of the imperial garden, he noticed a veil fat floating on the water at the point where they drop thousands of roses. After collecting a few drops of that liquid gold with a peacock feather and it smelled, the queen was enchanted by what he called heavenly scent. Because of the sharp fall had been a natural process of distillation, which had brought to the surface the essence of the rose and gave birth to the first Attar of Rose. L ' Attar is completely free of alcohol and comes in an oily substance made by the soul alone, and only smelling extracted from natural raw materials, according to ancient procedures for processing.

An eastern fairy tale whispered softly, enclosed in glass walls. Bard Al Badour is inspired by the beauty of a woman told in a famous story of "The Thousand and One Nights." Full of sensuality up to capacity, its species were selected to evoke unnerving and secret pleasures. Drops of Rosa Damascena and tears of Ambergris are the prelude to a dream-erotic aroma that magnetizes the head notes. A fluctuating moment of vibrantintensity that explodes in a heart filled with two types of wood Oudh, Burmese and Cambodian. A visceral love tribute to the aroma that most of all recounts the east. Sandalwood and Wood Oudh silver seal this exotic fantasy with a thousand of sensual reflections.

Available in 12 ml bottle.

the dry, dusty oud here is front and centre. it's quite genuine, or at least smells as such, and is the main character in this composition. there are traces of some floral sweetness and some form of woodsiness, but the oud overshadows it all. if you love your oud, this one is for you...

Wow! Beautiful, opulent, powerful, sensual...everything about Badr al Badour is simply grand. Just a simple drop and you feel surrounded by a cloud of sultry oud with rose, but with a twist. It is not the typical rose-oud perfume, this is way beyond that. Leathery, smoky, animalic, medicinal, but smooth and delicate at the same time.

Attar comes from the Persian and all the variations (ittar, atr, itr) is the same word referring to the same thing. Urdu is derived from Persian, not the other way around.

Oooooooh,so potent.
It is truly Arabian vibe,I feel like a Bauduin in the desert.
Smoky ,desert, rose.smoke that comes from cooking on fire, heavy and serious.
It's to much for me,brings out memories of ancient middle ages times.
Maybe it will be better appreciated in a very cold weather.

I have tried another Attar from Amouage, not yet in the data base, Salamah which I liked better on me.

Beautiful, but strong. Probably depends on your climate, but in the cold here it's too strong for me.
The ambergris is nice 'though!

Ooh, oh my God... I haven't had this level of sensual experience in a very long time

OK, let me try and explain: opening is smoky and dry; a dead ringer for tobacco. I wouldn't call this feminine, but wait...

There it is, a soft, slow moving current of lush.

This is pretty much a very high end tobacco scent; I've never experienced oud like this. I could just roll in it. A little goes a long way, though, so I don't need to. But wow, what an amazing fragrance!
