Ciel Pour Femme by Amouage

I won't be straying much from those who have reviewed this before me...

I put on what I thought was a generous sample and went for my evening walk. Hmm.. not much. So i poured a fourth of the vile on myself. OK, now I can smell it for about 30 min, then ... not much.

So my review is based on how my shirt smells when i put it right up to my nose and take a big whiff.

OK, this is delicate green floral that opens beautifully, but fades to something really grating on me. I can't say it's any one note, probably just the combination of
things. i'm going to reach for my Apres L'ondee now.

This is a beautiful fragrance!! It is a sister to Tendre Jasmin by Yves Rocher.

I guess it's the lotus that makes me think of my Arden Beauty...

A balanced light fresh floral that lasts forever and shocks in strength-but doesn't smell enough like true flowers, or any individual flower to woo me-I know Ciel isn't a soliflore, and I suppose a seamless blend means you aren't supposed to be able to pick anything out-but perhaps the blend has seams for me?

I can look at all of the notes and say: "cyclamen...check-peach blossom....check..." but blindly testing this, there is no way I would say this smells Amouage-expensive. It doesn't smell as sharp as my Arden Beauty, and it has no edge-but it doesn't smell enticing, delicate, tender or have too much allure. My boyfriend likes Arden Beauty more on me, and I have to say that I do too-and my goodness, so much cheaper for this kind of floral!!!
Not memorable, a great disappointment for an Amouage-Compare it to Dia, if you can get over or enjoy the aldehydic top, it's truly a special and one-of-a-kind delicate floral...

I'm not high as the sky or over the moon for Ciel. If you are a floral lover or just curious try it anyway-but blindly buying this for even half...or a third of the price seems beyond crazy to me. I will swap this sample without a second thought, and wait curiously to see if someone else disagrees with me completely!

It reminds me Donna Karan Be Delicious but not so chemical is is more gentle and soft. sounds good but nothing too special for Amouage

very pale floral reminicent of a bleak copy of a copy of Guerlains L'Instant. Definately not what you 'd expect from Amouage - no luxury in here...

"Ciel" in french means "sky".if you look at the bottle and you know just a bit about middle east culture you know that it's made by middle east perfumers.
the flacon is like a mosque and the color of blue is the color of spritual in eastern culture.it doesn't look at earth.the top of flacon is to the sky.
the interesting point to me is that it's suitable for every day use which means every female can keep the spritual side of herself in every occasions.
about the notes,it's all about flowers.violet leaf has made it a bit green at the first sniff.not overwhelming or powdery at all(despite amouage gold & dia),very transparent,feminine,sweet,luxury and nice.the fresh floral scents make it a good choice for srping.there are some aquatic notes which must be because of lotus.
despite the top & middle notes there isn't any trace of flowers in the base notes.amber & musk are known as fragrances in orient for years.so the perfumer has followed the ancient formulas.
the price is a bit high,but me as a middle-eastern girl like to have it,as it satisfies my taste.
