I like this fragrance an awful lot but think it's far too expensive (at a staggering £180 for 100ml) and can't even consider buying it.... which is a big shame.

My favourite of all the Amouage line. Would love for this to be my signature scent, however i could not see myself wearing this all year round. This is strictly a fall/winter scent IMO. Spicy, fruity, warming and incredibly long lasting. I sprayed this inside my jacket collar and i could still smell it a month after, i kid you not!! Blended to perfection, a projection monster, this is about as good as it gets. From top notes to the dry down this is absolutely flawless, a true master piece.

Just received Jubilation XXV (decant) from a friend and feel so disappointed. The smell is quite similar with Emper 9 to 9. Jubilation is just smelled smoother and more elegant

I had a good session with all the main Amouage fragrances for Men.

This and Memoir were my favourites. Lyric for men is amazing too but imo, too feminine.

Jubilation.

This opens up spicy and a little fruity. Very pleasant.

As it dries down I get amber, sandalwood, i want to say rose, i sense dark berries too.

In general terms this is woody, spicy and fruity. Picture walking through a Souk on a hot summers day letting the environment release exotic smells. This bottle captures all this and allows you to express this beauty in the West.

All in all,

4.25/5

I found a cheap alternative: Vetyver - L'Occitane.
It's has a similar to Oud Wood and Kyoto drydown and it has a nice cypress top note.

I like it yet I have no intention to splash that kind of money ... somewhere downstream I've found an entry suggesting it resembles Animale Temptation in a drydown. Drydown, by the way, is what I like the most in this Amouage. So I've done instant blind buy. What a load of bulldust. Should teach me a lesson.

Back to XXV ... yeah, pure awesomeness ... also bit shortlived for the pricetag.

If there is anything similar with the friendlier pricetag please do tell.

Excellent on paper, on my skin the amber turns out too loud. Still very good, but not my cup of tea.
The price is soooo excessive.. 225 euros 100 ml!!!
And not long lasting...

Someone compares it too M7, I think they smell very different.
I prefer the drydown of M7.
XXV is overpriced.

frankincense, rock rose, oud, urea, berrys, opoponax

too left field, too pricey.

No honey, no tobacco, very annoying sweet orange/urea combo accord for the duration of wearing

It has some obvious quality, but outweighed by £200+ price. Ridiculous.

2/5 stars.

A grwon-up, very masculine, very incense-based scent which sends out pretty definete vibes. It has so many good credentials here already - and it clearly deserves them. The man who wears this stuff has impeccable taste and probably made this scent his signature. Warm, spicy, with this haunting mix of amber and incense, this fragrance was made to impress. This is what I'd call a Class Act!

I think I need to take an adventure in the world of Amouage perfumes, from the reviews I have read on different fragrances, it sounds to be the epitome of Perfumery, probably because of their choice of non synthetic ingredients, but damn, those prices make me shiver everytime I inquire on the internet lol, is there a way some one can get a sample or two without selling their soul lmao?

Pricey but worth the penny, Jubilation XXV was the first fragrance I smelled from Amouage and still the best in my opinion.

Jubilation XXV is divine in virtually every way possible. The incense, woods, spices, and dry, darkened fruits combine to create a sensual fragrance evocative of the desert and all its mystery, but still bearing heart and soul. That's just the thing - a lot of (OK, most of) the highly expensive niche and luxe fragrances I've tried are noticeably high quality with good usage of raw materials, but they lack heart and feeling. They smell like empty money. Amouage fragrances, on the other hand, have highly impressed me so far, and Jubilation XXV is no exception, being a rich oriental that I can move around in and not feel weighed down or bloated, if you know what I mean.

Jubilation XXV begins on my skin with frankincense, dried fruits, dry woods, blackcurrant and a resinous labdanum note. I appreciate Bertrand Duchaufour's use of labdanum; it's one of my top favorite notes and needs to be used more in perfumery. Anyway, the combination of these elements sets the stage for Jubilation XXV and it stays that way for a while. The incense smooths over in time and the woods come out more, but it retains the character established in the top notes. There's also a dry woody note in there that combines with the fruit to smell kind of like pipe tobacco. I enjoy it a lot.

Overall, Jubilation XXV lasts over 10 hours on my skin. It projects like a motherfucker and leaves no prisoners, but the opulence and elegance make it fun to wear. I literally cannot stop sniffing my wrist when I wear it, and save for a brief woody-amber note in the drydown, I can't find anything offputting about it. However, go easy on the dosage. I put on six sprays and my mom (who was in the house at the time) told me it was really strong.

Bottom line: Try Jubilation XXV. It's amazing, and you won't know until you try.

Jubilation XXV, created by Bertrand Duchaufour, begins with a fruity tone. Blackberry? Raspberry? certainly, but as if they were in the form of dried fruit, or something. It is a fruity tone mixed with honey, having as background, a note that already stands out from the beginning, and that over time will only increase its role in the fragrance, frankincense. Is at that moment that it brings me back my childhood memories!

I've been somewhat familiar enough with frankincense, since childhood, where I was present in all those masses and catechism, cribs and sacristies.

But in Jubilation XXV we do not have a heavy incense as the ones used in religious grounds, such as in Avignon from CdG, but a lighter and much easier to use, giving the right versatility to this fragrance.

And so this scent continues until the end, showing a touch of woody and floral as well. Anyway, the fragrance is a luxury, perfect for special occasions.

This is another scent I"m swinging back to after a two year break. The first time around I was a perfume virgin, but now I'm delicately refered to as 'a bud that's been hanging on the vine for a while'.

Cinnamon. Front and center. I say this because this is a note I just can't wear; it makes me nauseous. What I loved the first time was the heavenly blueberry/corriander opening. Oh wow, who thinks of this stuff? But yesterday my well trained nose sniffed a gourmand.

To make matters worse, I put the scent on while en route to a restuarant. A few seconds later my sister rolled down the window and gave me a sharp look. I couldn't blame it on the car, that's for sure.

So, I still think this is a high quality scent, but I strongly recommend a break between wearings (a month is good) and seeing if your feelings remain the same.

I'll never get tired to say how much I respect and esteem Bertrand Duchafour and how much he has been, and at the moment still is, important for my olfactory path. Jubilation XXV is a monster release and is based on a bunch of my favourites ingredients, opponax, gaiac wood and amber. it has the unequivocal transparent incense note of many of the BD's creations and the oriental-spicy allure that made him so popular.

This scent goes directly at the top of my favorite incenses together with Avignon or Bois D'Enscns even if it's quite different from them both because of an orange / ginger-esque note in the opening that gives Jubilation XXV some sweet crispness. This time I've to agree with Mr.Turin when he says that "this scent sits somewhere between Gucci Envy for Men and Gucci pur Homme" but is way much more complex than both. If I've to be 100% honest I've to say that I still prefer the darker Avignon, but JXXV is a terrific option for anyone looking for a versatile yet distinctive take on frankincense. Majestic and IMO one of the best in the Amouage range.

I have a small sample of Jubilation XXV. Wow. I am sure this is the smoothest, richest, and classiest smelling substance in my house. I love it. It's far too opulent for everyday wear. But for special occasions you cannot go wrong with this one.

Got a sample of this from AEDES DE VENUSTAS along w epic man and reflection and of the three I REALLY like this one. I love how the blackberry opening plays harmoniously with the spicy incense; along with it a hint of forest background. (guaic wood I guess), very well put together fragrance.top of my list for 2011 purchases. Dare I say,.. Majestically spicy....love it.

There's nothing to be so much delighted with it. Yeah, pretty good, really natural essences. The top blackberry notes disapper very soon. The base on my skin leaves a long-lasting monotonic pure sandal wood scent, natural but flat. There are many similar yet more interesting fragrances for a much less money. IMHO.

Truly a masterpiece!
Upon application it immediately transforms you into a different place and time. Think of the movie "Laurence of Arabia" and you get this glamorous mix of herbs, spices, fruits and berries, woods and tons of frankincense. No floral note though!

So sophisticated! OMG! To me this is the ultimate scent of freedom, intellect, sophistication, peace, love along with unity and harmony of mother nature.

Whilst elegant, I also think of sport (outdoor pursuits) and I am being reminded of my horse riding youth with all the green smells in a rich "Indian Summer" early autumn landscape when the land is full and ripe and rich!

Yes, I do get the blue berries but I also get cypress and juniper or something really really pine forresty and green!

This scent smells like a beautiful day in the countryside in the autumn.

It is utter and sheer bliss!!

10 out of 10. ICONIC.

Is it BLUEberry or BLACKberry in notes?
Official site and other sites are listing blackberry as note, not blueberry.

I got many compliments in few days of wearing. More compliments than any other perfume I have or had. I think this is a good thing.

Lyric man on me, especially on clothes, have more lasting power and is more noticable by my nose (due to the freshness of it I guess) than Jubilation XXV who is more close to the skin (more grounded and incensey).

Again 10/10

I want to retry Epic Man (another big big winner for me).

This starts out with sweetish, incensey and fruity notes that strongly remind me of something that I smelled long ago, when I was growing up. I’m racking my brains trying to remember what it is. The incense cones that my mother and grandmother used to burn? Maybe, but not quite. Home made blackberry jam, thick and black and rubbery? Maybe, but not quite. Fendi Asja? Not quite, although it’s a distant cousin. J-XXV is all of these things and more, and for some reason it has a strong nostalgic feel to it. As the day wears on, and I keep feeling like I’m visiting times past, the scent becomes even fruiter, and finally fades away in a warm sunset glow of incense, wood, and fruit. I like this supposedly masculine version much better than the floral women’s version (Jubilation 25). It’s definitely decant-worthy.

This is the most sublimely beautiful male fragrance that I have ever sniffed!! It puts me in mind of Ralph Lauren Purple label-but with the Amouage sensibility and finesse. The perfume is not what I expected judging from the notes. It's fresh and spicy and woodsy all at the same time.I'm so pleased that I found a perfume with 2 of my favourate notes-cinamon and corriander. I can smell the corriander-and I love it!! Spiceeeee. That right. Life should be spiceeee...

This one is delicious!
By the time it is applied on the skin, it shows its huge quality.
It is difficult to see a scent with so alive smell of blueberry and, at the same time, so well blended in order to not be invasive. Now, try to imagine adding a mix of amber, vanilla and opoponax (also known as myrrh).
I think it is versatile, which means that can be worn in any occasion, wether be day or night, hot or cold.
A curious thing is that, after about 40 minutes on my skin, it turned very similar to Animale Tempation.

If this is the same as Jubilation XXV, I got a sample from Aedes. God, it's great. Dense and incense-y, spicy...very, well, arabic, or at least it has those notes that immediately make me think of flying carpets, burning glances from veiled women, etc. Another one I hope to buy some day. All I want out of life is the complete Amouage line, the whole Palais Royal Shiseido line from Serge Lutens, and all of the Frederic Malles. Is that so much to ask? Oh, yeah, and the love of one particular woman. Well, wearing this stuff won't hurt my chances... Five big stars!
