Amouage Attar Tribute is a fragrance created in 2009 of precious and rare ingredients of its rich, hot and nuanced composition. Classy Tribute was composed by the best perfumers from Grasse by using incense, saffron, floral notes of jasmine and Taif rose. The composition also features leather, tobacco, patchouli and vetiver. The perfume is both gentle and intriguingly authoritative, available in traditionally luxurious glass flacon of 30 ml EDP and 12ml.
I rec'd my sample from luckyscent and was amazed how this juice is very very strong. I was sent only .2ml which is a small amount and applied all of that amount onto my pulse and pressure point areas. Just applying that small amount was too much! It is very potent. At first, my husband and teenage daughter didn't like it but once it dried down it became a softer sweeter feminine fragrance. I was impressed. I applied it around 8am on a Sunday morning and its still lingers in my clothes and body at 7:25pm. I don't look at western fragrances the same. It smells similar to that of Tom Ford private blend tobacco vanille but with a greater potency. lol Good Job Amouage! I'm now a follower of your line.
Very good, very long lasting scent. (One dropp enugh!)
My only problem with this fragrance is the very strong incense (what also makes it special).
If i close my eyes, i see a bishop, who has a massin a church.
Because of the other ingredients i think is better for a man, but there are cases, when a woman also can wear it.
For a purposeful, self-conscious woman it also can be a good choice. And well... it's a bit erotic.
I can not say, that Tribute is not so good as Amouage Homage Amouge. Tribute is more luxary, more unique.
Classical oriental.Mature.A bit medicine-like.It's reminds me of amber incence stick...First it's very linear, but after minutes it's starts to opening and growing on me...still medicin-like but with some rose appeares and tobacco..Oh my god, it's so oriental!!!:)
Dark, earthy, intoxicating.Rose and tobacco comes beautifully with musk, vetiver, patchouli and bergamott. Super sillage, amazing lasting power. Just a small drop is enough from this superconcentrated essence.
Smooth, peaceful, relaxing scent.Scent of the East.
I woear it now, i may not knpw whether it is correct or not but i bought it from amouage themself. To me the initial burst i sublime. It has similarities to homage, but as time passes, taifi rose come out slowly then it starts to blossom, then after a few hours the smells of vetiver start to appear in such a delicate way not abrupt but rather transits in such a way that it do not overwhelm, the vetiver, smoky tobacco smells is not like lalique encre noir rather roll over inside a patchouli leaves. Then the smell of rose starts to appear blossom by blossom , i fell that it is a great perfume , a masterpiece of its' own way, i waited for a year to smell it now i own it, the only problem is i fear that will it be adequate for me if i wear it everyday..
Guys, im my search for good attars I went to arabic countries, including Oman. There I went to Amouage's factory. The truth is that Amouage produces its attars with varying quality. I am not sure why this is happening but they have some problems controlling quality of the end-product, probably because they have different inputs for each batch. I personally got my hands on 3 different qualities of the Tribute. Only one of them was as good as it was supposed to be. The other two batches had either too much tobacco or too much vetiver or too little rose etc in the final bouquet. So please try the bottle before you buy it, don't rely on the tester, try THAT VERY BOTTLE. The same problem is with other, originally excellent, attars - Al Mulook, Al Mas, Eidyya, Bard al Budur, Al Andaluz. The way to correct the Tribute that has too much tobacco is to add further 5-15% of Ajmal's rose oil - the spicy and zesty Kashmiri rose that they widely sell in their shops in the arabic countries (they also call it Ruh al Ward). After mixing wait for 2-3 months keeping the bottle in the dark cool cabinet. The result exceeded my expectations! Good luck.
Indubitably the finest cologne I have every purchased. An entirely different world. Sublime, ethereal, Taurean earthiness with an unquenchable longing to taste of the floral spell of Venus cast upon the rarest Taifi. Completely unlike anything else on the market and, (dare I say), far more exquisite than anything the West has yet to offer--be it Creed, Hermes, Annick Goutal...all former favorites which are but distant memories now, having encountered this miniscule encapsulation of a stately pleasure dome on par with Xanadu itself, a stately aroma of decreed pleasure. This exotic scent is one of a magical starlit desert night of distant antiquity, mixed charmingly with the suave modernity and lusty elegance of an enchanted and naughty adventure in Marrakesh lounges sweetened by opiumed hookahs or a vermillion sunset over Cairo bidding warm, tender adieus to a day of insurmountable reawakening; a wandering, hypnotic, trance-inducing perfection that silkenly conjures memories of regal hands eternally intertwined with a sculpted lover fatedly blessed with such classical perfection even fair Antinous would coyly blush at the mere wafting encounter of this scent of unquenchable longing irresistibility. A treasure for which I have searched a lifetime, this piece de resistance truly surpasses the finest of fragrances available on the modern market from any Parisian house of high repute. Astrologically the ideal essence of the bull- a simple esoteric elegance that, though breathtakingly stunning in its first rush of a divinely feminine rose, subtly rises to the strength and vigor of refined masculinity with its grounded tobaccos, incense of which the gods would feel unworthy to be offered as oblation, and sylvan earthiness that lingers in the memory of all who are consecrated by its unspeakable grandeur which retains the subtlety of good breeding; a virility of gentlemanliness that the Homage, though so lovely indeed, considerably lacks. May I say most simply, thank you for this priceless pearl which truly is the paragon of a man’s scent, a new standard for myself who now seems want to spurn the Parisian perfumerie to follows spellboundedly into new lands of mystical ecstasy. --carlisle, law student, jackson, ms
I really thought I was going to love this one, but it is horrid. It smells smoky in the worst ways. It reminds me of a rose scent and older woman would wear mixed with the ash of cigarettes. It could be something truly unique and beautiful on some other people, but on me this is how it came off.....yuck.
so dark and oudy scent, even if there is no oudh in there, it is really full f safran which gives it a strong strong power of radiation, you put this on you and you become a radio active bombe of tribute lol, you out it on you and you walk through your house, when you come bak to the first place you smell it so strong , i aodre this perfume and this house Amouage, but tribute is expensive 250 euros !!! it worth it but ...quand meme !
I"m typically not a fan of Amouage- I htink they are overhyped and overpriced. I'm also not a fan of vetiver (it usually stinks to high #### on me) or tobacco.
But Good Lord, where did this scent come from??? This is the olfactory equivalent of being told there's "Something interesting to see over there", and upon taking a look for yourself you find the Grand Canyon.
Unimaginable depth, breathless beauty, indescribable feelings.
If you've sniffed Onda by Vero profumo, you'll have an idea of what this smells like. But there is no ginger here, so it is smoother on the nose. Interesting to me- this has the patchouli/rose combo going on, which seems to be the new chypre accord. Is this a tobacco chypre? Hmm...
In short, don't deny yourself another minute of wondering what this smells like. This just changed my opinion on an entire genre of perfumes. Try it ;-)
(Edit; a-ha!! I just saw that Pere de Pere also compares this to Onda, I'm getting good at this!)
