Midnight Sun is a gorgeous velvety floral which reveals a beautiful bouquet of gardenia, tuberose, freesia, rose, and orange blossom resting on a warm base of sandalwood and white musk. It gives an impression of deep purple shadows and precious stones glimmer. It is a romantic fragrance that evokes an image of a royal garden at night with blooms releasing their intoxicating scents, slightly spicy and sweet.
The fragrance is composed of freesia, gardenia, damask rose, orange flower, rose, tuberose, Indian sandalwood, and white musk.
The fragrance is captured into an interesting round-shaped bottle the details of which are reminiscent of the ancient love story – the faux gem represents the precious stone inlaid throne of Sheba, while the heavy brass bottle cap features the crowns of ancient royalty. The bottle comes in a red draw-string pouch reminiscent of Arabian jewelry pouches.
The nose behind this fragrance is Thierry Wasser.

MIDNIGHT SUN is a mesmerizing and gorgeous floral bouquet. It is not listed as oriental but it definitely has the glamorous oriental aura about it. It is like walking in a luscious oasis with blooming crimson roses and sitting on the embroidered cushions near the fountain ready to hear the enchanting tales of Scheherazade under the stars.
The scent is focused on a queen of flowers, the beautiful rose. The rose is velvety, luscious and sensual in this perfume. The other flowers are there to provide a royal entourage for this stunning queen. The rose makes a royal entrance right from the start. At first the rose is accompanied by freesia, which gives the scent a bit of a green and crisp touch, like a summer breeze. The scent continues to evolve as the orange blossoms make an appearance in the heart notes but yet it is the rose that rules this scent. The rose continues to shine even in the base notes accompanied by a slightly woody accent.
Overall score is 10/10. This is simply gorgeous. This scent is so full-bodied and luscious. There is absolutely nothing in this scent that comes across as synthetic or cheap or overdone. It is luxury and class in the bottle. If you are looking for a sensuous and beautiful rose bouquet, which is a bit more complex than a straight rose, then this is the one. It lasts for a long time and you only need a small amount as the sillage is excellent.
This is a very warm fragrance, but it's more floral, less spicy than the other Aqabas. This is lovely, but not as enchanting to me as the others in the line.
brings back childhood memories...the smell reminds me of a glue we used. With some sugar upbeat, though. Guess it is time to realise that it is the tuberose to blame.
Midnight Sun is really unique. It travels you to Egypt, right exactly where the royal familly of Pharao lived. You have the feeling of entering secretly in the glorious chambers of His.It has something mystical and familiar together.I like the fact that gardenia is not too heavy as it is in most of the perfumes I have smelled.Rose, tuberose and sandalwood are beautifully combined. You are now in another world, the world of the dead.Zombie!
this is really a kind of 'purple' velvety floral. it is a gorgeous floral bouquet, very feminine and sensual. it reminds me of an egyptian fragrant oil that i already have in my collection. i can't say that any of the flowers are dominant, gardenia can be detected. it is rather a unity of interlaced floral notes. with te time it becomes balmy and warm.
i love the memories of egypt that it evokes in me.
