The house of Aramis is announcing a new fragrance for younger audience in the beginning of 2010. The fragrance was shaped and adapted to contemporary demands, created as a reinterpretation of the first fragrance, refreshed with chypre notes. The fragrance was named Aramis Cool Blend and constructed as a modern, cool and stylish – the classic Aramis for the new generation.
Top notes of Aramis Cool Blend offer crisp, fresh, aquatic notes of bergamot, lemon and lime, which create a contrast to a floral-spicy heart of jasmine, sage, cinnamon and cardamom. A rich finish leaves a trail of golden amber, sandalwood and creamy accords of leather. The fragrance is available as 100 ml EDT and 120 ml after shave. Aramis Cool Blend arrives on the market in March 2010.

Is there anything better?
I love it.
The divine boozeless and pure spicy floral mellow opening just wonders you and rolls your eyes! Pity that this pleasure is so temporary and scent goes to a routine aromatic shallow odor. Actually it's still beautiful in the middle and dry down but after smelling that masterpiece opening, you'll expect more in the middle but repulses, unfortunately.
Aramis was better those days, it's decreasing.
longevity 6/10
sillage 8/10
scent 7/10
Aramis Cool Blend is nice, and the quality I expect from Aramis. It's fresh. It's not new. I like it, but I have to say I feel like I've had this before.
I don't like to compare scents but on my arm it reminds me of CK Eternity for Men to some degree. Duration and projection are good. That being said, if I was blindly smelling this I would not think it was from Aramis.
It was being marketed as a "reinterpretation of the first fragrance, refreshed with chypre notes". As a long time fan of the original Aramis, believe me when I say this smells nothing like the original.
If this was an attempt to attract younger consumers, I guess it didn't succeed. Looks like the loyal Aramis fans were not impressed either. For me, the lack of popularity makes it more appealing.
It is pleasant. If you have the chance definitely try it. The sandalwood and leather dry down is smooth and sophisticated. My favorite part of this scent. This one lasts and lasts.
Cool Blend is gorgeous and very different to Aramis Original. This is a mild, citrus aromatic with a sort of white musk/amber/citrus drydown. It's strange, when you apply it, it seems to fade away. Then later it comes back and leaves a nice amber/white musk/floral/citrus scent. This is a well blended lovely fragrance with more sillage than you first think and it has a lot of character, I think it's quite unique. It's a brilliant one for summer
Aramis classic scent is a masterpiece of all times, it will never be overcome...
This is a nice gragrance though, cool opening, woody leather dry down. Longevity and sillage is average. If your are looking for projection this is not the right choice.
Much like the aroma of the original Aramis. A touch more rejuvenated timber but with the same idea of original Aramis. His stay in my skin is slightly smaller than the original. Despite being the same idea is less impressive.
Say no more appropriate for modern times because Aramis is a classic. Probably more suitable for very young men who want to start using this sophisticated fragrance. Personally, I look pretty and sophisticated for very young men, but I prefer original Aramis.
Although Aramis have chosen a rather dated sounding name for their latest fragrance, I would never judge a fragrance just based on it's name, so on with the review.
It's been a long time since I have smelled the original Aramis for men, but there is a strong sense of nostalgia with this one. It starts with a very strong but pleasant citric blast. These top notes hang around for some time before the heart comes through, but they never really leave. At first I don't really sense the Jasmine floral note in the heart, but I definitely pick up the sage & spices. The jasmine note then comes through quite prominently and smells exactly like fresh jasmine flowers.
Later on in the drydown, I'm getting the amber & sandlewood notes quite prominently, but not really much leather; maybe just the smallest hint.
Overall, I think I would class this as a citric/spicy/floral fragrance that should appeal to most men looking for a fresh Spring or Summer scent.
Longevity: 3.5/5
Sillage: 3.5/5
Value for money: 3/5 (just a touch overpriced in my opinion)
Now, back to the name. This fragrance does actually have a rather 'cool' sense to it. By that I don't mean cool as in 'hip', I mean cool as in a cool/fresh sensation that it leaves with you. So I guess that whatever your feelings are about the name selection, Aramis have actually chosen a rather fitting & appropriate name for their latest creation. It certainly gets my thumbs up!
