Arrogance pour Femme Arrogance for women

A pleasant non-descript soft floral. Because it is nothing special I would never bother wearing this, it really conveys no particular perfume personality.

My friend gave me this , and i really like it a lot.

She said she didn't want it as its "old fashioned" smelling. No offence to my friend but she isn't very clued up on perfume's. She had been given a box full of make up and perfumes off her gran. In it were 2 perfumes Ive been after for a while , that are hard to get in the UK and discounted. 2 Nina Ricci perfumes. Problem is my friend likes those 2 and wants to keep them. fingers crossed that she will sell them to me. :)

I was disappointed at her not giving up the Nina Ricci les Belles at first , but this gift of a nearly full "Arrogance Femme" and various miniatures , soon cheered me up.

I admit i had never seen or heard of this perfume before. It has a nice classy powdery vibe to it , once its settled on the skin. I'm pretty new to this style of perfume ( i used to be wary of aldehyde's and anything too floral) , but this really is gorgeous.

There's a part of it that reminds me a bit of Vivienne Westwood "Boudoir" , but Arrogance doesn't have the animalic/sex undertone. ARROGANCE is a clean , fresh , powdery , feminine frag and i think it very nice and classy. I hope to be able to replace it when its run out.

Elegant,feminine floral fragrance, I always wear it in the summer,it's fresh without being too sour,it's warm without being too sweet,well -combined elements make it light to wear. The first splash is a bit too floral then it settles, I always wonder about the aldehydes,is that the key note holding everything so well balanced. I discovered Arrogance in the 90s, I search and find one for the summer days,its similar to Ralph Lauren's Romance, but better.

I wore this in the early 90's and always had fond memories of this little gem. As I remembered it- strong white flowers that needed only light application and definitely a perfume to make a statement.

Fast forward to last year when I first tested Robert Piguet Fracas, it immediately conjured memories of Arrogance. They seemed almost identical to my nose.

Keen to test my olfactory memory, I tracked down a mini of Arrogance to see if they were indeed similar, and I do believe they are. Just look at the notes side by side and you'll see what I mean. Almost a carbon copy of one another.

Shame it's discontinued but I may need to snaffle another FB while I can!

Wore it when I lived in Italy. Loved it! I didn't realize I could still get it. I sure plan to!

A feminine scent that clearly earns the right to be called floral, it is fresh without being bitter,soft without being dull.Too bad can't find it anymore.

This scent was very popular in Italy in the '80s, so it always reminds me of that period. It has become a classic.
Opposite to many powerhouses of that era it is fresher, floral and only slightly musky. It starts a little bit fruity, but nothing similar to nowadays strongly fruit-juicy fragrances.
Closest fragrance to Arrogance is maybe Ralph Lauren Romance, but this last is much better made.
Arrogance Femme is a longlasting one.
I don't like to smell it on other people and less than ever on myself. That's not because of the scent itself, which BTW falls on the cheaper edge of parfum, but simply because of memories.
Many moms and aunts wore it, because it was a feminine, well-known and quite demure scent (well, compared to others!)
It reminds me of the clothes of that period for women around 30-40. Also many girls wore this, but not many I knew.
In present days it is mainly worn by the same moms and aunts and a few perfumistas who never care for the "age" of fragrance but just for the fragrance itself. You can still find it in many perfumery stores, usually packed in a gift box with transparent plastic, together with bathgel and body lotion for a very decent price.

It's a shame you can't get it anywhere. I have such good memories of it! I used to wear it when I was younger. It was very assertive and powerful, rich, intoxicating and sophisticated.
