Ancient Attar by Aveda is a Oriental Floral fragrance for women. Ancient Attar was launched in 2008. The fragrance features african orange flower, geranium, sandalwood and rose.
Incense rose. Very natural smelling (think that's their whole raison d'etre? so that's good..!) and also quite expensive smelling. You can tell it's quality, even if not to your taste. Personally think this is Avedas best scent. Actually smells like proper perfume, beautifully blended. (as opposed to the Chakra series, which don't!)
Addendum: Pointed this out to my mother who loves rose, and so I thought she'd like this, but she said "Yuck! Smells like medicine." and pulled a face for good measure. Oh well. Strike that off future gift list then.. The thing is, as soon as she said it, I can see what she means.. but I still like it very much. Good medicine! Perhaps to say it has a syrupy quality, but not sweet sugar syrupy, but like old fashioned warming cough medicine?
