Signature Avon for men

I agree with "sherwin" (see below). There's a bit of snobbery on here about some of the fragrances which I think prejudices people against less expensive or less exclusive scents.
It is all very subjective - you like what you like. If that happens to cost little or not be one of the most respected names .....so what.

Personally I like this, especially for this price.
The main notes next to the perfume pyramid above give you a pretty good idea of what this is like.

My opinion - initially very green, citrusy and crisp. Made me think of freshly cut grass. A summery, fresh fragrance.
Later it is a little too floral/fruity/sweet once it dries down - not enough of a bite to it but still smells very nice. I don't get enough of the ginger and wood that is meant to be there. My g/f doesn't really like it - doesn't think it is masculine enough. I'll probably still wear it to work sometimes in the spring/summer.

On me it lasts quite well (6-8 hours). It lacks a bit in projection and stays quite close to the skin.

I don't regret buying it. For the money it is not bad at all - just not really for me in the dry down.

Favorite and realy cheap parfume but avon do not produce it now :(

i personally love the smell , it gives a strong muscular scent.

It's a nice room smell, but that's all about it. It has very weak lasting. Yes, and it's very synthetic. I love to watching Perfume Pyramid here, but reality is very different! I don't want any Avon colognes.

Smells very cheap and synthetic and very very sweet Yuk !

It's not good, bad smell. It's not lasting too much. I'll not buy any more.

The quality of the juice itself is poor - it only lasts for 4-5 hours on my skin and the sillage is really poor, but I consider it as a nice fragrance that smells exactly like quince fruit. It resembles some good memories, but it's not potent enough to wear it day-by-day. If I had full bottle I'd use it as a lazy spring weekend scent.

People, don't always believe the bad reviews here. Every one is different.

I'm a very (extremely) picky person but I tell you, this totally surprised me!!!This is one of the best Avon men's colognes. This cologne can beat some of the most expensive and popular brands. I really like the scent of this. Very long lasting. Even after i took a shower, it was still on my skin.

This doesn't smell like Blue Seduction. I have Blue Seduction and it doesn't actually smell like Signature. Period!

I have tons of colognes but this one can beat some expensive ones... Just that this one is linear... But that's ok though, as long as it smells great, i luv it.

Don't always believe what people say.... Everyone is different.

I've checked several popular colognes that had gotten good reviews but turned out to be disappointing....

I have to say that this is not a fragrance that I like (for myself), the woodsy notes seem to be too strong and overpowering. I bought this hoping I would like it, when I didn't I gave it to my stepson and actually found that the scents really work for him. On me however, I didn't like the overpowering tones of the woodsy scents.

The quality of Avon has so improved over the years and I have to totally disagree with anyone that states their quality is poor, as with any fragrance manufacturer, there will be fragrances we love, there will be fragrances we hate and I feel that judging the entire company based solely on fragrances you dislike is unfair. This scent is not one of my favorite or even one I personally would wear, but they have so many others that are great and too many for me to choose from to degrade the company because of a few that I personally don't like.

Synthetic, boring fragrance, linear and with one note from the beginning to the end. Avon have cheap colognes based on synthetic oils very low quality.

Teakwood, teakwood, teakwood!

My nose was like, "Hey! Did you notice there was teakwood in this fragrance?!"

lol. It really is the first and the last note that really stands out for me. But, it's not as if that's all this fragrance has to offer. It's kind of like "Steel Magnolias" where the story is all about Shelby (teakwood), but it just wouldn't be as special without the entire supporting cast.

For someone who is looking for a woody scent, that they can wear day or night...this will definitely do it.

Light fruit smell, with a metallic tone that sounds a little artificial to me. In my opinion nothing to do with Mont Blanc Exceptionnel, nor with Black XS or Ferragamo F pour Homme. It is different from Banderas Blue Seduction too, but in a lesser level. I prefer the all others mentioned to this, but Signature is not bad, just boring to me.

Though the fragrance is uncommon but yet i believe that something is missing. its very linear sweet fragrance predominantly contains apple notes. nice but boring. gives a little bit of headache. absolutely not for me.
i give it 5.5 out of 10.

This perfume is very similar to Montblanc Exceptionnel Homme and Blue Seduction (for men) from Antonio Banderas, but in a more gentle. All very good.

It's very similar to DKNY Be Delicious for men i think.Fruity and fresh... For men in all age groups it's a good choice for everyday-office use...

a nice surprise.. soft and calm is something near to describe this fragance, fruity, comfortable and natural.. good choice for an everyday fragance..

lovely and minimal aroma.

i just buy this one and i'm very glad that i did. is very fresh and the top notes are awesome grapefruit and green apple, then it has a great dry down with cedar, teak wood and patchouli. long lasting power is good, this fragrance get stuck in my clothes. one of the best avon's men fragrances, the bottle is nice and this one comes great with a tuxedo.

It's top note is similar to F by Ferragamo pour homme.
Anyway, I love them both.

Well, this one was a great surprise for me in 2008.
In Brazil, Avon doesn't have a good fame when we talk about perfumes and colognes. But I decided to try Signature one and, the smell it was very good and stuck on my wrist for hours. Then, I decided to buy one bottle for me. And another surprise: it lasts for hours in me.
The fruit woody fragrance it's very different and original. I love the ginger mixed with the patchouli smell.
Lot's of compliments for Avon!

Very good copy of Black XS Paco R.. Only the last is more rich. Avon didn't discovered nothing new.

This bottle looks similar to 'Adventure' by Davidoff and was launched around the same time (I think?).

Does anyone know if it smells similar?

Today I got the Avon Signature it was a blind buy but it was worth it.
First the fragrance opens with fresh and fruity Notes, than you can directly smell a clear and elegant green Apple accord with the spiciness of Ginger. The Appel accord stays distinct to the heart, where it gets a bit spicier and a warm woody elegant Note emerges steady to the base.

This fragrance is like opening a fine bottle of Ginger Ale and bleding it with a fresh and fruity Green Apple Juice mixed with a Stirrer thats made out of precious warm Wood.

The only problem like by most Avon fragrances is the durability, it lasts only a lean hour. Unfortunately thats absolutly to short for such a fragrance even if its so cheap.

The Fragrance gets 08 out of 10 Points
but because of its short durability only 06 out of 10 Points. It's a pity!

One of the best fragrance form avon. It has a classy scent with a bit of spice, indeed perfect for tuxedo or any kind of elegant costume, giving me a comfort-feeling every time i wear it. Rly cool

the most refined mens fragrance by avon. wonderful smell, long lasting and perfect 4 wearing with the tuxedo!!
