This fragrance is as black as a Film Noir plot, as dark as a dim-lit alley in Chinatown and as musty as the sewer in The Third Man movie. It is as dark as the soul of the genre's script writers, directors, actors and viewers; so dark that it includes only the darkest base notes.
Notes: Siamese benzoin, cocoa absolute, myrrh and patchouli.
It is available as 9 ml perfume extract, 4 ml mini perfume and 5 ml purse perfume. The nose behind this fragrance is Ayala Sender.
A delightful deep scent to warm your toes on a chilly day. The first hit is like a very dark chocolate cognac, then the myrrh comes through and gives a touch of invigorating slightly medicinal quality, like a delicious old-fashioned cough sweet. This dies down to a sweetness which melds with the slight vanilla of the benzoin and finally dries down to a chocolate-tinted patchouli. Always sweet and rich, never cloying. Delicious. Could be longer lasting, but what the hey, just dab a bit more on. More 'Brief Encounter' than 'Big Sleep'.
