Rosebud Ayala Moriel for women

Cat B's got it right: Rosebud is as much a perfume as a palm tree and sanbox in your backyard is beachfront property.

As a **scent** it's not bad, but it is dry and uncomplex, i.e., lower shelf. There is a woody raspiness here, so no, it is not luscious or deep.

i can't really say much more on it.

From the name I was expecting a quite fresh green rose scent, like a tightly bound rosebud about to burst into life from the growing heat of spring. In actual fact, the opposite is true. This is dried rose petals with warm spicy wood nuances (a lemon-sandalwood accord).

I can detect a slight creamy sweet texture beneath it all but otherwise the vanilla & benzoin are lost on me. Equally so, the musky ambrette is MIA.

In the kindest possible way, what I am descibing is potpourri. A very beautiful artisian rose potpourri mind you but potpourri nonetheless.

Personally, I like to walk into potpourri's environment as opposed to escorting it around. But whether smelling like dried roses & twigs is something that would be universally appealing is not for me to say.
