Azagury’s debut signature fragrance is totally elegant. Every element, from the handmade box to the crystal bottle is about extreme luxury. Jacques Azagury has spent two years developing his scent.
To create the scent, Jacques Azagury has gone back to go forward. Back to the white flowers and the precious woods of the grand perfumes of the 20’s and 30’s. Catapulting them forward by reformulating them with the latest futuristic materials.
Fresh ginger root and leaf, and cyclamen aldehydes are united in clean and fresh opening. An exotic bouquet of flowers is blooming in the heart (Himalayan jasmin, rose from Morocco, ylang and datura). The base includes cashmeran, Mysore sandal, Atlas cedar, and a dry amber note.
The fragrance range:
Eau de Parfum 50ml
Parfum 7ml
Pure Oil 5ml
Purse Spray
Luxury Body Soufflé
Luxury Scented Candle
I love this fragrance. The aldehydes are sharp at first but dry down quickly revealing beautiful notes of jasmine and spices. The effect is at once modern and reminiscent of perfumes of the twenties and thirties. After several hours of wearing this fragrance, those elements coalesce with balmy woody/peppery notes.
I purchased a sample of the EDP, after reading its description on a fragrance site. It did not disappoint me, the only draw back is the price (OUCH!). I liked it so much though I bought the 50ml spray. I wear it almost daily. The peppery notes make it warm enough to wear in winter, but it is delicate enough to be a summertime fragrance as well.
I bought this as a blind expensive buy; and I am so happy! It has become my signature perfume! It is different than the usual fragrances I wear. It has wonderful staying power too! It my "give me strenght" perfume, when I need it most; but I enjoy it all the time!
received a sample size from albert at bendel in NYC when I ordered CHILD purfume. I found a terrific scent that is not overwhelming but carries me to a place of rich but simple notes
(Second Review)
Ginger always throws me; I associate it with the yellow ginger I plucked in Kauai, which was sweet and oily, but in perfume it can run hot and dry.
In Azagury it runs hot and dry; bringing to mind a visual of shifting sands across a desert. But there is a cold lift here, and since I don't see iris I"m at a loss. The raspiness of cedar? The elusiveness of aldehydes? Maybe.
This is a wood heavy scent, The ylang ylang and rose are very faint, as if they were wispy clouds passing overhead. When worn on the decollete the florals become more effusive, as if a bouquet were brought into a sauna.
I really like this. It is an invigorating, active scent. I like wearing it when I need to focus or be creative. Well done.
this scent is nice, although the 5ml bottle of pure oil is a waste of money! after 3 weeks it the oil changed its color into green! the scent itself has also changed
