Yes chrome is a classic scent lasts a long time smells great but it really shines during the summer or warm spring and fall days you cannot not go wrong with this scent I've been wearing it for about 6 years now & it always gets compliments good stuff if you haven't smelled it and thinking about blind buying go for it you won't be disappointed women love it

i was confused if i would buy it as i alreday have CK one. but then i thought of giving it a try. and it was a good thought.
it has more silage and longevity than CK ONE. if u are confused between CK and chrome then go for chrome. it stays for long also.

It's clean,fresh,comfy , if you didn't like it ,you won't be offended , the only drawback for me that it has a little bit cheapo scent and common
I break that cheap feeling by adding half spray of black XS that adds uniqueness and small amount of elegance

Ive heard about this and i wanna try this out i smelt it on a guy and was like i want to try this too..

The first men's frag I ever wore. Got a sampler when it launched and it was instant love but somehow the warm character I remembered from those days wasn't there when I purchased a small bottle for nostalgia's sake a while ago.

Now when I smell it it's a nice little citrus which most of all reminds me of the 90's.

And I somehow want more than just "nice" from my perfumes.

I really love the scent , so cool and manly.

This fragrance is absolutely wonderful!

This fragrance is one of my favorites. I do get compliments often when wearing it and Chrome is often mistaken for CK One, which I can understand during the dry down. The two smell completely different to me upon application. The notes are very rich, aquatic, citrusy, and clean. This fragrance can be worn at any time of the day and throughout the year in my opinion.

I don’t know what it is in this fragrance, but I LOVE IT! I’m a girl and I even purchased a bottle because I’m crazy about this smell. It hits every right note for me! I just wish I could find a PERFUME that did the same thing!!! I’m fairly certain even the most unattractive guy would become attractive if they wore this around me. It smells so good I wish I could eat it!!

*I do not have a nose that is well trained - this is my rudimentary opinion of this scent*

I first wore this a couple of years ago during the hot and humid summer - it absolutely sickened me. With that weather, it was probably best to not wear anything, only the two sprays of Chrome that I used was enough to churn a stomach. It had unfortunately given me a very bad and unfair impression of this scent.

I have recently revisited it and feel much better about it. This aquatic gives me a nice citrusy sweetness at the top and it dries down to a soft powdery scent with some metallic hints that still retains some of the sweetness in the background. I fully intend to NEVER wear this in any weather or situation where I'd be sweating (such as that bad week during the summer) and will keep it for spring, early fall and cooler summer days. Lasts a good bit of time on my skin, about 6-7 hours of good projection. This could get very cloying and sickening if over sprayed so watch the trigger.

A pleasant scent that shouldn't really offend anyone - a nice cologne for casual or office wear.

Synthetic yes, but get over it gentlemen. Even the most expensive scents can be just as synthetic (i.e. Allure Sport). Azzaro Chrome is a versatility king. It can be used anytime of the year, day or night, formal or casual. Even light enough for the gym. Azzaro Chrome would make a great signiture scent for a guy who doesn't want to APR finance for a nice smelling fragrance.

If my wife was to ever leave me and take me to the cleaners, I could probably swing the cash to buy this and wear it as my signiture scent.

I got it last year! A mediocre fragrance to use everyday, but only during the day. The smell reminds me of old citrus masculine fragrances, so I used as soon as posible till the bottle finish. Never would buy again! Disliked.

My girlfriend told me that she will buy this for me until i will have my body intoxicated with it!Is this a compliment or what!?I don't know why almost all the girls like that much all this fresh scents(Acqua,Allure,chrome,etc) on us guys instead of those scents that we like more!Anyway this is a nice fresh,clean scent with obvious lemony woody notes,a little bit floral!I do get a cold metal winter sleigh feeling in it,please don't laugh,it's my nose :)!Longevity very good 8+ hours,the projection definitely will get you noticed,i consider it a safe smell and it has a good price!The best from Azzaro i think!

I love this fragrance! I get, well "excited" when a guy wears this lol so i suggest guys to wear this to really attract girls cuz all the girls I've asked absolutely love this on guys! Its such a clean crisp smelll not to strong like those other nasty men fragrances

opens very ck one and has a "chrome legend" dry down but softer with a more citrus light smell.

This is amazing love it this is basically ck one but deeper this cold be the greatest cologne of all time :) but since its well known I dont wear it much.

One of my first blind buys and I was very disappointed. It smells like you put your nose right on a stainless steel pipe with some lemon and lavender on it, so metallic! This scent is very synthetic and overly strong. Two sprays and a person across the room can smell you, it chokes me out while capable of producing headaches. If you want an overwhelming, fresh, metallic synthetic mess buy this.

This is my number one perfume on men. It is really hard to find a fresh marine smell that does not turn into woody or spicy notes or too lemony. Chrome is unique in that regard. I stock in bottles at home for my husband and no matter what else he uses nothing turns me on like chrome on him.

Bought it months ago and this is become one of my top fave. It's citrusy with some touch of pinapple, masculine but has a touch of jasmine, aquatic but has the warmth of spices and woods. It's really that good. I love how it smells on my body. Love it!
Btw several days ago, like usual i went browsing for new perfumes for my collection and fell in love to several perfumes. So i decided to take some sample cards and ask for my friend's opinion. Out of curiosity i add some of my -already have favorit perfume's- in it. And the result is most of my male friend chose hot water or one million but all the female would rave for chrome. That's for me is more reason to use it more ;). They even smiled when they sniff the chrome card.

Simple, affordable and effective. I feel extremely comfortable wearing this to any occasion, it smells very fresh and clean. I get lots of compliments from wearing this.

Typically all season, though I would prefer it more for summers and autumn.

Great scent here with good longevity and sillage. Throughout the day I will get whiffs of Chrome every now and then. It's wonderful!

Chrome Azzaro is classic, refreshing, and clean! Fresh rosemary, neroli, and lemon with a touch of pineapple and a dry down of bergamot and cedar. This smells like CK One but doesn’t have the sweet cinnamon smell giving Chrome a more masculine edge!

neroli first, mixed with rosemary, then citrus and soft pineapple, then woody musk. floral/citrus->floral/fruity->woody/musky. 5/10

What can be said about Chrome that hasn't already been said? It is quickly becoming a classic and there's good reason. I have tried (and own) a few different Azzaro offerings, and nothing has beaten Chrome original. It's just right the way it is...

First, it is an incredibly clean scent. Yes, there is citrus. Yes, there are floral sensibilities. Yes, even the spices are noticable. But primarily I receive a very very clean fresh-out-of-the-shower sensation when I wear Azzaro Chrome. It simply is wonderful.

The problem with a cologne that has such a wide appeal as Chrome is that many people start wearing it. It happened to Aqua Di Gio and now people recognize that scent a mile away. The same may happen to Chrome, but somehow I don't mind as much because I love it even more than Aqua Di Gio. Very clean scent. The best of all Azzaro and one of the best around.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Extreme longevity, very broad aura. Definitely not a skin scent. I wear it from sunrise to sunset and it's a wonderful feeling to wear a perfume I enjoy and the people around me love. It can easily pass as a unisex fragrance! I never detected that "metal" note some people mention, I think it's a thing of autosuggestion because of the name Chrome. I can sense the cedar and the musk in a very fresh combination. On my skin the pineapple note really kicks in. And it's not syrupy but actually refreshing. It's like when you take the pineapple from the refrigirator and take the knife to slice it open. So the cooled juice from the pineapple colors the air with its smell. It's fantastic! Chrome is refreshing, original and a quality fragrance. It's a classic. I wouldn't classify it as a citrus scent, yet you can detect slight citrus-y notes but they're not overpowering other elements. This blue-eyed charmer got the girl this summer!

I really like this fragrance a lot. It projects pretty well and the longevity is pretty good too. To me this seems to be a little more of a mature fragrance than some out there.

Chrome is the most popular from the Azzaro house. This fragrance can be found at any walmart target cvs walgreens right aid etc........ Very soothing crisp fresh smell. Great aromatic citrus feel. Perfect for everyday/casual wear for spring/summer days

So familiar scent. Smells like Benetton Sport Women

Totally unappealing to me. Like a rosemaryish and cedarish grey patch, but blurred, dull, ant totally deprived of any sort of assertiveness and character. This type of scent makes me think that the achievement really was to neutralize any individual notes, to anihilate, kill them, to deprive them of any vitality and beauty, in order to get, I do not understand why, some sort of dull, grey, dead olfactive impression. On the top, there are hundreds of male scents almost exactly like this one. I do not even find it pleasant at all. I agree that it is very similar to Calvin Klein one, which I do not find interesting either. The initial citrus scent is actually totally gone in both in five minutes, so that you cannot even say that they smell fresh. They smell basically only aromatic, quite unlike other citrus aromatic scents, with a much longer prounounced citrus stage. I would never purchase or even wear once Chrome. I find the natural skin scent infinitely more pleasant and attractive than these scents. So why spend money and wear something which makes my skin smell worse? Maybe because it is Azzaro, but I do not wear the label.

A sweet, clean, well groomed, unpretentious, and "polished" smell(pun intended lol). Theres a good chance this will be my next cologne. This a very safe bet to use casualy, in class,at the office, on dates, job interviews, or virtualy any occasion where you would like to come of as being well groomed/clean cut, put together, and alittle mature but without being too reserved/boring.

Purchased this last night after reading reviews that it is similar to Paco. It certainly is although it is a bit sharper and masculine, but then again it isn't the unisex fragrance that Paco is.
Managed to get a bottle of Paco last year in airport on way back from Gran Canaria. I couldn't believe it as I hadn't seen it since 1998 and I thought it had been re-launched. Unfortunately it hasn't been relaunched, perhaps the airport had found an old stock in their cupboard!!
Glad to find that Azzaro Chrome comes close and at £20 a bottle it's a steal, even if you need to spray quite a bit. I'll stock up now. Great stuff.

I got this today, the 30 ml version, but I had my eye on it for quite some time. I liked it the first time I tried it on paper, but was a little scared it would be too masculine for me so I didn't try it on my skin.

By the way, I am a woman and I like to wear men's scents when I'm feeling a bit androgynous (which is most of the time).

This happened a few months ago, and I have since then worn Gucci Envy a lot, but for some reason it went bad two weeks ago and it has been discontinued. So I came back to Azzaro Chrome for my more masculine scent.. I tried it on my skin and at first, say the first hour, it was very fresh and aquatic, a bit citrussy with a slight metallic "zing", present but pleasant. In the next few hours the metallic zing fades a little, but it's still there.

What I like about this fragrance is its non-offensive aquatic character which seems to say "welcome" everytime I smell it. All other aquatics which I tried were fresh, but not very welcoming. In spite of it being an aquatic, Azzaro Chrome still manages to exude some warmth which will probably make women more comfortable in your presence.

It also smells very clean, which will make it very suitable for the summer.

I see that a lot of people think Azzaro Chrome smells like CK One. I tried CK One on paper and on my skin, but it seemed to lack character and identity. I found it to be fresh and floral, but not very memorable.. that's why I passed on that one.

As for Azzaro Chrome, I'm very happy with it and I see myself wearing it on a regular basis :)

I've been using chrome since it came out, and every single year, I go out and buy a new bottle. Considering how many colognes I have, and tested, this is a testament (at least to me) on how good this scent is.

If you want to feel cool, fresh and alive, then look no further, this is it. Very fresh, citric, touch of floral here, touch of musk there.

Linear....sure, so what?. Last a long time on me, and there has been not one soul who doesn't like it. As a matter of fact, compliments are very high with this one.

Inexpensive as it can be. Add everything I have said up, and ask yourself, why you have not bought it yet?. Don't believe the "Experts", they just hate when you smell good with a $25.00 bottle, and they have to have a $250.00 one, to smell the same. God have mercy on them!.

I like the base smell of the stuff it does last a long time, however a little iffy on its die down which is metallic which I am meh about, also not very aromatic might be good for clubbing when your close to people but I have worn it for a week now and no one has smelled it yet in an office environment, unlike polo black which everyone notices.

I believe every great fragrance has a personality of its own.

I prefer wearing this to formal gatherings and official outings. Its a serious frag and keeps you smelling fresh.

Its a metallic frag and is never offensive. Its pleasant and simple. It has decent silage and on me it stays strong for around 4 hours and then it fades away almost completely in the next 2 hours. I have got most compliments when it is in its latter stage.

Its a part of my wardrobe and I use it quite often.

So easy to wear! Clean and refreshing. Very sexy and timeless.

Apparently there are a lot of notes going on in Azzaro Chrome.
For me they are all quite well blended into a light and pleasant smell.
Light in smell but strong in sillage and projection imo. The metallic note is imo hardly detectable and not bothering me at all. The scent is perfect for the hotter days and gives me the very nice vibe of being in the sun at the beach, ocean or lake.
The most prominent ingredients are citrus and musky ones which surround eachother perfectly and give the scent an original and fresh aroma. I agree that the scent is pretty linear but that is exactly what I want in the hot weather! Fresh all the way, inoffensive and lasting! Thumbs up!

Decently priced fresh fragrance with good longevity. Nice and clean with a metallic zing to it that separated it from most other scents of this type. It is called Chrome after all I guess.

A nice addition to any smart casual occasion

Not bad. But just a little too floral for me. Smells like a bouquet of flowers with some sweetness. This was my work scent at my old job. Cause it smelled nice and it was something i didnt mind using up and keeping my good fragrances for going out or occasions.

I love this perfume.
It's really a perfume that smells like the beach.
When I smell this perfume I remember the holidays and times of a teenager.
Pure and innocent, but with a great brand of personality.

It's a perfume used by many men... and who can blame them? I absolutely love this perfume on men. It smells sexy!

Chrome is a nice fragrance! When I wear it, I'm reminded of Grey Flannel, Mania, and CK One. It is truly the best of all three of these fragrances in one clean, light package. The top notes are Citrus ( neroli, bergamot, and pineapple) with a rosemary/lavender infusion. Middle notes are Grey Flannel-esque: geranium, cyclamen, oak moss, and a slight nutty coriander. In the base notes, oak moss continues and adds sandalwood, tonka bean, musk, and lingering cedar. Possibly a bit too light in the end and longevity is questionable. I enjoy wearing Chrome.

its a metallic fresh citrus scent that was very popular in the 90s and is good during hot summer days and very refreshing

Tested it recently. Good longevity but so linear. Stays the same way while on your skin. Decent scent but too boring.

Azzaro Chrome was my last regular fragrance before I stopped using them altogether nearly 15 years ago. Now that I am getting back into fragrances again, I am looking for new and different scents. I can remember there being a refreshing scent which drew me to Chrome originally and I may give it another try down the road. Was pleasantly surprised to see it is so highly regarded after all these years.

A good scent for summer, but NEVER use for winter and/or cold nights. Smells like cold, metallic Rockstar energy drink when misused in the winter. Otherwise a decent scent for hot summer days.

A light, lovely, breezy scent which does not last very long..

I applied 6 heavy sprays

0-30 secs - Nothing

30 Secs - 1 hour. 1.5 foot projection. Very light hearted and nice, however not very complex - If someone put this juice into a Lynx/Axe bottle then I would think it would be seen as too basic a frag and yet another scent from that company.

1 hour - 3 hour - 1 foot projection. Pretty much same scent but subtle changes see it become more complex and richer, yet still supremely light hearted. It is very nice and cool and I feel relaxed, energised and dare I say...trendy?

3 hours -4.5 hours. 3 inch projection. Same great scent, linear

4.5 hours - 5.5 hours. No projection, drydown equally as nice

Shame it does not last longer. Could be used as a sporty frag as many sport events dont last more than say 4 hours??

i had tried this before 3 years and i didnt like it at all, but just before 3 days i tried out of the way and i was surprised and i went out and bought a bottle, i think it smells good in winters as this is meant for summerss, strange its awesome in winter

I like it. At first i did not like the opening t...but it grew on me. I understand colognes have to mix when released from the bottle, and it mixes nicely to a fruity (but not too fruity) clean (overly used term IMO) with a hint of bitter-sweet aroma. I bought a tiny bottle because i did not have faith in the cologne, but i'm glad i did.

Finally i must say i am sooo pickey when it comes to colognes, i smell and re-smell and apply and re-apply

Typical freshness found also with azzaro chrome and azzaro now. Yes, definetely long last, great in tropical weather that's the guarantee.

this is some thing below even ordinary(practically) but for me it has memories memories some sweet and some very very painfull,if i smell this i miss some one a lot and get depress toooooooo muchhhhhhhhhhh.........!

before i bought my 1st chrome azzaro, i visited almost all the websites i can get, readin' their comments and comments. That didn't satisfy me, so i went to various local shops and malls to ask even more information about this. It took me sometime to finally purchase and man, im tellin' you this... this one is amazing! all those time for searching, queries and doubts were paid off! whew!

I absolutely LOVE when my boyfriend wears this, it drives me wild! The smell is so clean but warm at the same time. I love the spices and sandalwood added to the citrus...genius!

Not a big fan, good citrus, for the price it is at, its a good gym/workout frag. Longevity is decent on skin and super on clothes. I wouldn't prefer it as a proper summer scent as I have better lemons in my roster. But all-in-all a good fragrance for workout, gym or any high schooler or newbie.

He has expanded his horizons now to include things like L’Homme Cologne Gingembre Yves Saint Laurent

and lacoste essential (which i bought for him because I love)

I wore Chrome a lot in high school, and I don't regret it one bit.

As an 18 year old whose roster has gone on to include Patou Pour Homme, Yohji Homme, Green Irish Tweed, Eau Sauvage, Monsieur de Givenchy, Jubilation XXV, and a flurry of other scents, I can say with confidence that Chrome is a wonderful masculine that still smells great. It may not be the most interesting scent, but it's clean and pleasant and it lasts a good while. I would say it's a bit stronger and more masculine than cK one.

Don't be ashamed to wear Chrome - it's good stuff, and luckily Azzaro hasn't screwed it up yet.

Never got around to this frag when it first came out but recently I had a opening in my cologne roster so I decided to recruit it. I've worn it every other day for month and it's not bad. Very fresh frag sprays on with strong lemon and pineapple. I detect the oak moss in the mid notes and strong cedar in the dry down that is suppose to imitate a metallic like smell if their is such a thing, but it has a soapy ting throughout the start to finish. My lady grab me by the waste and burried her head in my chest to smell it so that's a plus to me. It's long lasting but projection is not very loud. Over all it does what it's suppose to do, and a fair price for doing it. I say this one is a diffinate try.

This one is a love and hate for me. I used this back in my first year of college and actually went through a whole bottle. At the time I really enjoyed it, as I received many compliments from the ladies, but now when I smell it, there's something about it that turns me off. I really have to be in the mood to wear this one and its not often I do.

When you first spray this, the top notes are very fresh, citrusy, and light with a hint of a metallic note and as it dries down, that metallic note becomes more prominant blended with light woody undertones. Projection is good for about 2-3 hours and then it really sticks to the skin for about another few hours. I get about 4-6 hours with this fragrance on a good day but longevity is a bit spotty.

My manager at work wears this and he's probably in his late 40's but I feel like shaking him and giving him a complete fragrance overhaul! Something more mature and sophisticated, but then again he drives a Harley to work! Which brings me to my next point, any male 25+ need not wear this, it's too playful and immature of a scent so I recommend this to a younger crowd for sure. Anywho, "CHROME" is just what this fragrance resembles, at least with the prominant metallic note so the name says it all!

Soapy smell, reminds me of typical masculine colognes, anticeptic, citrus. Retains its strength throughout the day. Has a kind of clean power to it which isn’t unpleasant, but not very warm or welcoming.

unfortunately ordered it from the net and didn't like it.

It is very strong to my nose and couldn't recognize its notes.

Chrome was a cologne that I never paid attention to because I thought it was cheap and generic but I decided to buy it and gave it a try; and its been loved ever since. I'd never smelled it, rather I bought it because it was a cologne I'd like according to the type of colognes I have. I can't get enough of this. I absolutely LOVE it. It's clean, fresh, light, surprisingly lasting and has instantly become a favorite of mine. My name is Mike and I APPROVE this review!

It's ok. It is very clean. Something for a very hot day ... the crispness lasts and sort of keeps me cool. Right off the start I was reminded of something metal, like METAL Paco Rabanne or SILVER FACTORY Bond No. 9.
It is a very simple cologne.
If I want something more for the girls, then WASHINGTON SQUARE from Bond No. 9 is what I would reach for, and get a clean-cut effect from that, too.
However, there is nothing not-to-like about CHROME.

citrus + musk + miscellaneous notes in the background It is really an aromatic citrus from the 1990s and its pretty dated now since there are so many more scents in this category that smell and last much better than this.

If you want something that will last even after a shower....this is it.

When a customer comes to me asking about something that is simply clean, not sweet, not overly fresh...just clean...I show them Chrome. I have a bottle. I love it for what it is, but it's more of a body freshener than it is a cologne. I call it the king grandaddy of all the clean scents.

Ouch- sharp metal fork tines to the back of the nose! YUCK! Don't judge this house (Azzaro) by this- many beauties from Azzaro, but this - no.

This scent is fresh and aromatic, very far from his grandfather Azzaro pour homme.This is a water that can be worn at all times, but in any event always makes you feel right, it is delicate, discreet, romantic and color brings serenity and self-esteem is really good.

And I'm a little disappointed with this, it's just very safe, similar to some other fragrances...Just a blur! And it seems light and doesn't last on my skin as well :(

This is a very nice summer fragrance. Longevity on me is about 5-6 hours. The jasmine note is a very interesting note and adds a nice balance away from the "metallic" smell. I would say this is definitely a guy cologne, as I have been complimented by guys when I wear this more than women

Chrome is a brilliantly executed conceptual fragrance that suffers from having one fatal flaw - the wrong concept.

Yes, it smells like clean metal, but why exactly would anyone want to smell like clean metal? I don't often approach my wardrobe wishing to smell like R2D2 after a bath. It's kind of a nonstarter as far as I'm concerned.

Then again, it has its following, and I guess the gentle fruit and ozonic elements give it some much-needed panache. As '90s as it is, I don't smell Chrome and find myself time traveling. It seems to stand obscurely amidst a legion of similar offerings for men. Safe enough for the office, but I can think of a hundred other things that smell better.

I wonder why, I used this in a hot day, it didn't last for more than 3 hours, then I used it at night in a cold room and smells good and it lasts for than 5 hours... is there a stronger version of this perfume ? I really want to get 1.

Very safe and pleasant fresh smell, girls love it. If you have no idea what to wear try this and you have no problem. Great for gifts, because it is safe to buy. I use it from 1998.

i kindda trying to like this but it just annoys me everytime i spray some on me.. it gives me a unpleasant burnt orange scent.. but at one time it did smell nice..so i guess this is not my cup of tea.. no offense maybe someone else might like this one...

This scent evokes a metallic zest to me, which is similar to how stainless steal would be, but with a soapy kicker! I love this bad boy, and I would say wear in late spring and all summer long. I would say this is a hold on scent until you try it out on you, which is the most important person. By the way, I own the 6.8 oz bottle of this, for good measure!

After much hesitation, I bought a tester of this some time ago. It's not that there is a problem with this, just that I tend to gravitate towards 'powerhouse fragrances'. I find it quite hard to identify individual notes in Chrome, however, I can give a general impression...

It is a crisp scent in which there is a subtle hint of citrus. There is an underlying woodiness which reminds me somewhat of a really subdued version of Oxygene by Lanvin (probably the cedar). I'm actually sniffing and typing and as it is evolving on my skin (about 30 minutes after applying) I detect the jasmine. The jasmine is not overpowering (which is really good, because any more would make it too feminine). This is a great summer fragrance, which lasts surprisingly well, though is really close to the skin for most of its life.

Lemon+coriander+oakmoss = metal!
This is very interesting fragrance. As the most people voted, it is made for the daily use even thought it can be worn during the night.
Opening of the perfume is citrusy with slight touch of wood. The heart of the perfume smells on a metal which is very unique! The heart is fresh and long lasting. After the metal note it develops into soft base with smell of warm wood (that is sandalwood). All in all, interesting fragrance with average projection and good longivity.
But who wants to smell on the most expensive ice cold metal, it should consider of buying Comme des Garcons Standard which is stronger, "colder" and without soft base!

I have two 100ml bottles of Chrome, a 30ml bottle and six 20ml travel edition bottles. I like Chrome a lot.

I discovered back in 2005 while doing the tourist thing of walking around a lot in hot European weather, that Chrome was the only scent that just kept on keeping me fresh when all my other scents either conked out, or got washed away in perspiration.

Back home in Australia I came across the 20ml travel edition bottles, and I have used up two of the eight in my subsequent vacations.

Most criticism of Chrome comes from the fact that it is a fairly linear scent, as it stays pretty much the same from start to finish. Since I prefer to smell fresh from the start to finish of the day, I don't see much validity in the criticism. Others have criticised Chrome for being metallic, aquatic, citrus etc, which to my mind has as much validity as criticising a floral scent for having florals in it.

I did later find other scents that kept me fresh in my travels - Diesel Plus Plus and Dali's Laguna - but for the hottest days, I always returned to Chrome.

It is instantly recognisable and has excellent projection. And I still marvel at how they managed to get a metallic smell into a scent - since metals don't really emit an odor.

I dont see what's so special about it. I'm gobsmacked by the rave reviews Chrome is getting because all I get is a metallic, aqua smell.
When I saw it a decided that "I'll try that one today" I wasn't expecting much at all, but I was still disappointed even further.

I bought this years ago when I was very young and I was obsessed with fresh smelling fragrances. Now I just cannot wear it anymore. It smells good and I like it but not on me, it's just way too fresh. Something changed in me a few years ago and I have moved on to more woodsy fragrances. I still have it and every now and then I spray it in my room and it smells good, just not on me.

My first reaction to the adverts shown above was: what the hell is this one trying to be? A fragrance for the whole (male) family?

But in fact, that makes perfectly sense when you consider the unremarkable, say-nothing scent that this one actually is. As about as useful as a suit for everyone - grandaddy, daddy and son. Huh? Throw it in the bin NOW!

This perfume drives me NUTS. Don't get me wrong ; in a good way. I can smell it on a man miles and MILES apart (not that much, but you get it). It has a special effect on me, can't put my finger on why though. But I absolutely love it.

I showered and put on one of my favorite scents Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea (yes, I'm female), but unfortunately it has no staying power and faded to nothing within under 2 hours. Feeling in a very citrus aromatic mood, I hunted through my cabinet to either reapply the GT or look for another that would last longer... spotted my hubby's Chrome.

One hearty spray and I'm feeling like an Oriental water nymph; Queen of the koi pond. I think it's the jasmine/bergamot/coriander/rosewood that hits this Asian girl on all the right notes and is almost airy and mystical, but enlightening on me... hard to describe. Unconventional use but I'm loving it and may just have to steal it from my man -- that's as long as he likes it on me.

By the way, it smells great on my man: a nice combination of warm and aquatic, fresh but with depth. Sexy and smart without being sleazy or overly complicated.

** Update: He says he doesn't want me to use it anymore as he'd rather I'd smell like a girl =)

I can't help but feel clean when I wear this. To me, it is a spring/summer scent. The longevity is crazy! I don't understand how a drugstore scent can destroy the longevity on much more expensive designer colognes!

Best if you don't overspray this one! My only issue with it is that after I wear it for a day, I don't have the desire to reach for it again any time soon. It is like Indian food. Once every 2 months is adequate.

On my skin:
Top: Soapy, aquatic scent for 1-4 hours, by far one of the longest top note for an aquatic on my skin.

Middle: Aquatic and fresh-citrus like scent, with a little woody scent creeping at the bottom. I have this for like 3-4 hours after the top note mark.

Base: synthetic-like scent, mixing the top and base note together 1-2 hours mark after middle notes.

For some reason, I hate this fragrance; it smells generic, and boring. But for sure it is a complement getter, many has mistaken this for CK One, but I am okay with it, this proves that a cheapy scent is on par with CK =).

All rounder scent, you can use it anytime, anywhere, but not at clubs, superb scent under the sun. People won't get offended, but people won't really care much for this scent, unless they are curious.

This is a BUY for aquatic lovers, and a PASS for aquatic haters. HAHA!

The country I am in has no 4 seasons, so it is either hot or cold weather. This is all rounder, it projects under the sun, and it sits quietly under the cold, air-conditioned place, but people will scent you.

My rating (base on 5 stars)

Scent: 1 (one fact: aquatics are unique for people who is a fan of aquatic, but for general people, not many can different-shape which is which).

Sillage: 3 (a whiff under cold weathers, a beast under the sun).

Time length: 5 (the only aquatic that sits on my skin for 8 hours++ sweet~~).

Occasion: 3 (school scent, Office scent, pina-colada with girls on the beach scent, you can use it for dates, but it will not leave much of an impression).

Overall base on mathematics: 3/5

Not bad for a cheapy, this is a dark horse for sure.

I've had a love/hate process with this one. At the beginning i couldn't smell it. Too sweet and intoxicating. A year after, i gave it a second chance, and now i really like it. Yes, it's very sharp in the first 5 minutes, but then it becomes a very comforting fragrance, that really makes me feel good all day long. I find it simillar to CK One, but this one is much more masculine.

True to its name it smells metallic, but in a nice way. A sparkly citrus in the beginning,turns powdery very quickly . Its pleasent and non offending. A simple casual scent for hot humid months. Good longetivity.

It smells great when i first tried but then it started to make me "nauseous" or dizzy when over applied... It can be overwhelming...

This fragrance is a great one for men.The initial,all the way to the drydown smells crisp,clean,and long lasting.I highly recommend this to any man who would like a fresh,masculine,non irritating scent to wear for the office,or to a date,or just to wear almost anytime.Give Chrome a try.I just got some of this fragrance today,and I am not disappointed at all.The longevity on this scent is great.10/10 for me.

Chrome is a great smell, longetivity is amazing, its a complement grabber but.... a little old now to be wearing it. still amazing

This is the one that started it all for me. Back then it was Michael Jordan and Drakkar, but this one was great. This is the longest-running frag in my collection, been buying it since it first came out.

Azzaro Chrome as the name suggests can be described only by 1 word:-METALLIC!!!
Opens with a burst of lemon accord, but has a metallic tune in it, which becomes more and more prominent as the citrus notes sublime.


Now about my opinion, I have got lots and lots of compliments wearing this perfume, but to me it's not a great one!! It's synthetic. N yup it has some detergent like smell!!! Moreover the jasmine notes in the middle is quite sharp, n sometimes it gives me a headache. Longevity is excellent, it's almost 8 hours on my skin!!So to me, it's just a clean one...not something extraordinary!!!

Chrome is a true classic clean mens fragrance. It is nothing like your run-of-the-mill citrus aromatics. It is sweet(just enough) and it is aromatic and fresh, but it outshines(like its namesake) most of the others in this family...

I must admit when I look up a fragrance I am interested in I want to see the "notes" for it. This is the only fragrance so far that has had different notes listed on 3 different on-line communities and one very reputable retail site. Quite perplexed I got in touch with Azzaro Paris and they said this is what the PR says: Citron, Bigarade(bitter orange),mandarin, grapefruit and bergamot in the top; a heart"like the ocean", greens, ginger and an "adventurous spirit". No base notes or drydown was given...hmmm, I thought if this is what the distributor says why is everyone and their brother saying it has some of these plus everything from ivy/lichen to mate (tea from South America) to rosewood and gardenia?! And I believe that since no clear, concise pyramid was offered the answer is in the nose (and impressions) of the smeller. So, I decided to spray it on paper and see just what is going on...

On the initial spray it releases a citrus melange that just sparkles. I detect bergamot, lemon, some orange alongside greens(petit grain) and very transparent florals(neroli,jasmine, maybe cyclamen?).As it moves toward the heart soft watery spices appear(cardamom, corriander) and there is a light zesty ginger accord for sure.There is a whiff of something slightly musky in there too,perhaps the moss beginning to emerge in the base. I get no pineapple unless it is just sweetening the fresh, zesty citruses.I do get a metallic feel from this one but nothing like the "frosted metal" scent of NOW. The drydown is a fine blend of light woods(sandal, rosewood, maybe cedar), musk and only a hint of tonka bean, if any at all(this could be the musky green scent between the heart and base). The mate tea is a definite posibility because that IS in Polo Explorer and I notice similar greens in both of these. Let's face it regardless of what the Industry says is in it or WE think is in it, this fragrance is simply beautiful (the way a man is beautiful yet still manly and sexy)and is still racking up sales 11 years later. "Notes" are really, I've been told, just scents the compounds in the juice resemble or remind our brains of, still it is nice to think they are really in there...at the risk sounding cliche, Chrome really does shine...and, like its namesake shows no signs of tarnish.

Ultimately all reviews are personal opinions and this one is mine. But you gotta think after 11 years on the market you see a college boy buying a 3.4 oz bottle in a superstore somebody did something right. This fragrance is reminiscient of youth and was actually inspired by Loris Azzaro's weekends with his grandson and things that are passed down from father to son. So whether your 18 or 81 if you want a crisp, clean, sexy scent reach for this...

I absolutely LOVED this scent.why?Because CHROME is everything i want from Citrus Aromatic and one of the most fresh fragrances in my collection.

At first spray is so fresh,strong and cold.i found lemon and pineapple always makes it a nice combination the girls love it.in my mind this fragrance house seems a quite little treasure trove of olfactory!

CHROME is great for daytimes/spring and for wearning with casual.much better than the CHROME LEGEND and longevity is +6 hours on my skin.it is great to buy if you want CITRUS,CLEAN and FRESH fragrance as the price is convenient too.

Citrusy. Fresh. Clean. Cool. Yummy on men. Similar to CK One.

Clean and woody musk scent that is the first fragrance I wore when I was 16. I remember when it came out. This got me into fragrances. Not sweet, just clean and soapy smell. Great for casual wear.Good longevity and projection.

I've worn it and its better than AXE. I serioiusly had females ripping at my body to get a whif. Its amazing. I'm buying the 6 oz. next!!!

Smells very clean and like citrus. Kinda has a soapy dry down. Does not last long on my skin but lasts a long time on my clothing. Kinda reminds me of Esteé Lauder Pleasures when it drys.

I agree that this is a very sexy scent on a man...not sexy in an obtrusive, animalic way (which can be offputting to many sensitive noses!) but sexy in a way that makes you want to just snuggle and stay close to him because he makes you feel safe, secure and all woozy on the inside :)

It may not be a 'macho' scent...but it is definitely the kind of scent you want to bury your nose into :) so fresh, clean, crisp, so uncomplicated and unpretentious...yet so indescribably amazing and understatedly erotic somehow, in a way I just can't explain...

Oh yes, and it IS masculine, and not feminine or even unisex at all. It is masculine without being dirty or aggressive...it is masculine while still being dignified and responsible...it is soft and gentle without being metrosexual or androgynous...it is strong and confident without being brutish...it is cool calm and collected, but with an inner will of pure steel only befitting a real man.

It evokes feelings of trust and comfort and all things nice...I love this on a man...just love, love, love.....this is definitely a scent for the 'perfect husband' or the 'perfect boyfriend' ;)

This really is a super-versatile, gentleman scent, suitable for men of all ages I'd say...because you're never too young or too old to smell like a gentleman :) Highly recommended!!

A very nice and truly "FRESH" fragrance, How fresh it is? It is fresher than the Bvlgari Aqva Marine minus the fishy smell, Freshness last longer than Davidoff Cool Water minus the strong powderish scent! And much better than the over popular CK One!

It start with very nice citrusy aquatic scent, then transform to very nice subtle floral + musky scent and last with a very soft woody scent! I give 9/10 for such cool fresh fragrance, totally chill you out during hot sunny day or clubbing in the summer nite!

Lasting power more than 5 hours, very good for a fresh scent line! with very mild floral hints towards the end! Amazingly seductive!

Chrome is the best fragrance my husband owns, it's refreshing citrus and crisp freshness is a treat to the female senses. I love to smell this on him. I had no idea that there were so many florals in this fragrance. This is a very sexy scent for a man without being hyper masculine or heavy. I really like to smell this one.

A very sophisticated citrus fragrance, indeed. It is like a more "educated" CK One, with more masculine notes and more expensive-smelling. Definitely this is suitable for both casual wear, everyday wear, but would not put you in a ridiculous situation at a wedding, too. Timeless, very well blended, it does have some metallic notes, but considering the name, maybe this is the idea. However, it is better than Echo by Davidoff, another metallic scent. A mate from college told me that she finds Chrome more sexy than the "feminine" Acqua di Gio pour Homme. Those were here words, not mine. The lasting power is very good and the sillage is excellent.

have to say that the citrus is kinda outdated, scents are now more FRESH medleys with other notes and some depth but probably will be a classic with some people

I really enjoy this fresh citrus fragrance. It's very simple and has universal appeal in terms of a nice smell, and probably why it's so damn popular. It's very similar to CK One, but Chrome's a bit more masculine than CK One. Not sure if you'll stand out of the crowd wearing this, but it's fun to wear!

Good scent. Longevity is beyond 4 hours. Sillage is average. However, the citrus is a bit sharp. Actually I'm not very fond of wearing Chrome on a hot day afternoon. I like wearing Chrome on a cool breezy noon after the summer rains pours. Ahhh the scent trails lingers and melts my heart.

From the myriad of men fresh and sportive fragrances this one is apart, as it skips the agressive dry down. Maybe this is due to vetiver missing. It is the masculine correspondent of perfumes evoking beach lotion. Sunny and delicate, like the sea water drops on the body.

i think that the fresh/citrus scents are played and this body spray is kinda bland and theres nothin original with a musky citrus if u want a good one get fierce by abercrombie

Good for all seasons. My guy wears this one. Mostly because I bought it for him, and he likes it. It's cool and crisp.

Chrome is completely the antithesis of the kind of fragrances I buy or wear. I hate trendy, "fresh", "blue" or "sports" fragrances. However, I like Chrome. Yes, it has almost no detectable natural materials, yes it kind of smells like shampoo, and yes, it's blue. But Chrome is a very cheerful and uplifting fragrance, especially in warm weather. Forget about how critics pan it, how it smells synthetic and how it smells a lot like the clone juice that keeps being stocked in the department stores, and just enjoy it for what it is - a light, easy fragrance to wear. For me, those qualities are almost always the death knell for me, but Chrome, for some reason I can't put my finger on, appeals to me and allows me to set it apart from the rest of the crap that passes for "fine fragrance" in the mainstream fragrance market. No, it will never replace Eau Sauvage, Equipage, Yatagan or Kouros for me, but Chrome (like Old Spice) is just a nice easy fragrance to throw on when I just want something simple.

Chrome is one of the nicest fresh scents out there, it feels cool, fun and classy.

Chrome absolutely didn't work on me. It must be one that is very different depending on the wearer. On me it had an awful metallic smell. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to wash off either. I had to wait until it wore off, and my wife didn't want to come near me.

Very pleasant, completely non-offensive. Fresh sporty+herbs+woods that are well combined but not of note. It's a huge seller at the shop, with mass appeal. My hairdresser wears it, and swears it is a "chick magnet".

Easytowear-fragance. One of my favorites, I like to wear this in the mornings when I go to the beach or in my bike.

For me is the symbol of freshness. Every time after the shower I spray it myself with a little bit of Chrome. For me is the supreme feeling of freshness,cold but in the same time aromatic. It reminds me of my childhood, after a cold rain in mountains when the sun rays and warms all the aromatic herbs. Every time I wore it i feel amaizing...and I am a woman.

Woody-fresh fragrance all the way. A true hit. At the opening it has a very fresh, almost metallic scent, but goes away quick as the middle notes come & i start to feel the "green" notes. At the end it's all wood... If u love woody scents, u'll love this one. It's clean, fresh & comfy, but being a bit sweet & classy i like to wear it on evenings.
Also the base scent last about 12 hours on me.

It smells great and I really like it, the only thing is that it is so well known that I wouldn't waste my money on it. I like fragrances that will set me apart from the people around me.
