Del Mar Caribbean Baldessarini for men

A bottle of rum, a Cuban genuine cigarette, a cozy hotel room, a ceiling fan turning slowly, white curtains on windows with wood frame, a white Havana hat and black&white salsa shoes and a bottle of this perfume on the drawer! Just enough to perfect the Havana mood for a vacation in Latin America!
Unbelievably perfect for tropical areas, yummy and chilly aquatic!

Del Mar Caribbean is the sweetest of the Del Mar line of fragrances. The blackcurrant is the standout here and really dominates for a good length of time. The bergamot does make an appearance, but to my nose it’s quite fleeting.

I found that in the drydown, this one resembles the original Del Mar the most. It’s not as linear because of the sweet beginning, but it doesn’t stray too far from the original. The spicy heart is still there, but it feels a bit more subdued than the Seychelles and Marbella editions.

Sillage and longevity are average. Probably not worth a re-purchase for me, but if you prefer your woody summer type fragrances more on the sweeter side, this one is worth a look.

For what it’s worth my personal order of preference for the Del Mar line goes:

3. Del Mar Caribbean – 3.5/5
4. Del Mar Baldessarini – 3/5

It is a very simple cologne, similar to Lacoste essential (not essential sport), the longevity on me it is not as good. I was expecting a little more of this cologne, but nothing bad happens, it is wearable for almost every day, especially in the spring and summer.

The best choice for Del Mar collection. I don´t like the original because it is too simple. The black currant and the great combination of pepper and cardamom make this one a great result along with the cedar base of course.

I remember sniffing this when it came out and loving it. Being the clumsy person I am, I had this confused with the other blue Del Mar. Yes, I went out and bought the other one, unsniffed, only to realize it's not the same fragrance in memmory. Having said that, there is still a chance that I sniffed and bought the same Del Mar except, my taste has changed. Next time I go shopping, I will make sure which it is.

What a lovely variation on the Del Mar. The main note I pick up as a fundamental difference is the Black Currant, which blows me away instantly. Soft oceanic or ozonic...i can't decide yet.

Good fragrance smells quite sweet. this is a good fragrance to wear in free time for example when you go out. in the agecategory of lets say 23 and older.
this fragrance has a good sillage and it lasts till even next day.
so dont squirt too much.
i think this can be wore whole year.
