Banana Republic launched a fragrant duo named Republic Collection, which is the first pair launched under the purview of Simon Kneen.
Rebublic of Men and Republic of Women arrived on the on market in September 2009 in over 500 stores (450 US and 50 international stores).
Republic of Men was blended out of sparkling clementine, plum, fig leaf, Sambac, rosemary and sage, freshly crunched walnut, sandalwood, cedar and creamy musk. The nose behind this fragrance is Laurent Le Guernec from IFF. The bottle is brown, made out of glass with a polished silver stopper. It will be available in 50 ml bottle.

Sniffing only once, I couldn't differ boldly this one to Cordovan from the house. Again fig leaf dances that makes it warm, pleasant and sympathetic. I like the way it stings, it's like a tiny bee tries to sting you but it's too small to disturb!! Also there's a yummy and natural scent in this one which makes it soft and divine, so neat and clean, so polite and lovely. Has a touch of masculine perfumes but too modern and not so sexy, more charming and awesome.
Overall it's so pleasant and chic, you may wear it easily for your casual and even formal occasions but for ceremonies and parties it lacks powerful projection. Generally it stays more close to skin after one hour of application but in the opening the sillage is remarkable.

Unlike the Republic of Women the top and mid notes of this disappears fast if sprayed on the skin. Although the base is not so bad, I would have preferred the other notes stayed longer. Of course, the effect is different on fabrics. A bit tricky where and how to apply it.
Overall this is very nice, complex, unique, has a little similarity to known fragrances but still unique on its own.
Great for evening parties or even everyday office wear.

Stumbled upon this while in Vegas. The scent just knocks me out! I've never smelled anything so wonderful. I know that this is hard to find so I have to pick my spots in which to wear it. Sometimes, I can't help spritzing some in the room just to get a nice whiff.I love it!

Nice scent with a unique combination of sweet plum, fig leaf, and woody'ness from sandalwood and cedar. Just one flaw everybody seems to agree is that the price could be less expensive.

My new favorite, this is simply wonderful! Dont expect something complex or intense, in this you find a nice comfortable and relaxed aroma. Its hard to identify the transitions in notes but is a soft mix of fruits and flowers touched by a manly vibe and powdery woods.

love banana republic scents they are very fresh citrusy to fruity like banana republic classic, but they lack much staying power which does not merit the high price
