Cucumber Melon Bath and Body Works for women and men

This is honestly one of the most overrated fragrances ever...but I think bath and body works became well known because of this scent

This scent transports me to carefree childhood days :). Sweet & Crisp and immediately recognized. Cucumber melon is girly and sweet. She may not be unique, but I still like her. She can't help it that she's so likeable.

ahhh...the sweet smell of childhood! This was the first body mist I ever owned, and in fourth grade this was the most exciting part about going to the mall. Like many tweens in the years 2001-2003, I felt like cucumber melon was all the rage! Other favorites of mine were warm vanilla sugar and mango mandarin.
There's nothing wrong with wearing this scent as an adult, it's still okay to me. It's sweet, casual, clean, fruity. Doesn't rock my socks off like it used to though. I might buy in a couple years for nostalgia purposes.

This is a very juvenile fragrance to me...synthetic, over-done, fake. In my mind it isn't even for teenagers...more like 9-12 year old girls who are just discovering fragrance or get the opportunity to go into a Bath and Body and pick something out...this is the scent they would gravitate towards. I would pick it as a hand soap at best, that is it.

I never saw the appeal of this fragrance. I never had any desire to smell like a cucumber! :)

I am wearing the body spray today. It seems to last a few hours on me. The top notes smell like honeydew, but it mainly smells like artificial fruits. It isn't bad, so I put it on my "likes", but it's more of a "just ok" It isn't a dislike. It is really good for a daytime spring summer fragrance, and the body spray lasts about 3 hours. I think I would prefer this smell as a body wash rather then a perfume because it smells very clean. Maybe the perfume would be different. It says for women and men, but I think it is more suited for women

My husband LOVES this stuff. Always his pick when we're in BBW and I ask him what to get. I remember it smelling better back in the old days when it first came out and my "go to" smells were Cucumber Melon, Peach Nectar and Sunsweet Kiwi...it would be fun if they had a "old days" sale and brought some back on a limited edition basis. I bet they'd do well. I also miss when they used to make antiperspirants in the various smells too.

I'm usually not a fan of fruity perfumes but this is frickin delicious! The melon ( I agree with another fellow reviewer that this smells like Honeydew melon) smells really juicy and yummy and not synthetic/chemical. The cucumber adds a nice touch of freshness/green-ess to it. Its perfect for summer. Like all BBW scents, its very light (low staying power and sillage) so I dont think anybody would find this perfume to be offensive.

p.s. I ordered this perfume online as they're sold out at my local BBW store and the salesgirl told me that they might be discontinued. I just got it in the mail 3 days ago and already got compliments on it! =D I'm so glad i decided to buy it!

This was actually the scent that got me into perfumes. I hadn't been aware of B&BW until that summer after 7th grade when it seems like it exploded...

I remember being in summer school in the miserable heat of California in July, and several girls in the hallways and classrooms smelled... mouthwatering. It was fresh and sweet and I didn't even realize it was melon at all (I have always hated melon and most things that are super-sweet). It didn't just make me realize how much I loved scents, but I also realized I "liked girls" that summer.
Oh my goodness, the memories.
Anyway, I finally broke down and asked one girl what she was wearing. Turns out a couple of them had bottles of the lotion version of Cucumber Melon.

Nowadays I'm fairly sure the formula has been made heavier and sweeter, which is unfortunate. It lacks the watery, fresh qualities it once had that made me drool all over my desk. Alas. It still brings back such vivid memories anyway.

it is what it says, cucumber/melon. not strong or harsh, just a light scent. for me an everyday summer/spring work scent. nice, unoffensive.

I had this scent combination as a shower gel from them back in the 90's It was nice and fresh and clean, on my skin the melon became stronger with wear but never obnoxious,always subtley understated although I knew it was a smell of melon, the lily added a depth to the scent on my skin.I could always smell a watery cleanness with it : the cucumber.Jasmine never seems to soak into my skin.
BBW is great,especially as soaps and gels.

You can make your own Cucumber Melon perfume at home with more concentrated cucumber if the melon is too strong for you. And one of the ingredients isn't JUST melon, it's Honeydew Melon. Easy to find but the cucumber scent seems to be the hardest to find. . .

This one is delicious and very very green at the same time! Like a juice made before two minutes and it makes me feel relaxed and refreshed with its dominant melon and slight cucumber notes! Recommended especially for those spring days...

When I was a teenager I swam in this stuff. I had the whole collection. I would even spray it on a pillow in my husband's (we were dating then) house. He used to love that. Very fond memories of this youthful and fresh scent. However I feel I've moved on and the scent annoys me a bit now. Its a great scent for teens though. :)

I think BBW changed their formula for this fragrance recently. It used to be one of my favorites there, but now it's just "pretty good".

Cucumber melon is one of the best combination of smells to me, but this version is not as good as it could be.

Prepare to be drowned in ultra sweetness. My daughter swore she can almost taste it. Good for a day in the park.

its way to sweet. when i think of cucumber melon i think of watery fresh with a faint sweetness too it. this was in your face sweet. freshwater cucumber sounds like more of the fragrance im looking for

My mum loves this one. I bought her a load of it for Christmas one year and snuck a sniff before I gave it to her - very watery, cucumbery melon! Just like the namesake, though I think it's a little sweeter than I anticipated.

I've been using the bath products for years, but I just tried this recently. To me, it smells just like the other products--fresh and clean. It doesn't last too long, so it is nice when you want something light and unobtrusive.

I make soy candles and soap, and this scent has been my #1 seller forever!

I don't like this one. Just ordered a bodysplash and it is way to much melon for me. I expected a fresh, clean splash.

I smell like I just swimmed in a melonbath.

Maybe nice for some others, but not for me.

one of the old classics by BBW. it has been a staple for one of my closest friends for a while. Pleasant, fresh, and sweet. But in my opinion, most frags like this by BBW smell flat, one dimensional (watered down) compared to stuff by Moschino. Pleasant but not really unique.
